The Social and Sustainable Committee of MET Institute of Management, successfully hosted Zero Waste Day, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. As part of the celebration, students presented innovative ideas on waste reduction, upcycling, and resource optimization, showcasing simple yet impactful ways to minimize waste in daily life.
Students even organized the \"Best from Waste\" Competition, where they transformed discarded materials into creative, functional, and aesthetically appealing products. This competition not only encouraged innovation but also emphasized the importance of viewing waste as a resource rather than a burden.
This celebration reinforced the power of small actions in shaping a greener future. Let’s continue to reduce, reuse, and rethink waste for a more sustainable world.

RISE World Summit - Glenmark Nutrition Awards 2025

MET Institute of Management hosted the RISE World Summit – Glenmark Nutrition Awards 2025, organized by IDOBRO in collaboration with Glenmark. The event recognized initiatives in nutrition and health, highlighting contributions from NGOs, social organizations, and changemakers working to improve nutritional outcomes.
Nine finalists presented their solutions to address nutrition-related challenges. Awards were given in three categories - Rural, Urban, and Open Category - acknowledging diverse approaches to enhancing nutrition and health.
The summit included participation from industry experts, social leaders, and representatives from Glenmark, who discussed the importance of sustainable nutrition initiatives. The event reflected Glenmark’s commitment to social responsibility and IDOBRO’s efforts in supporting impactful initiatives.
The RISE World Summit – Glenmark Nutrition Awards 2025 provided a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and recognition of initiatives focused on improving nutrition and health.
MMS 2025-27 Assessment Day

MET Institute of Management organized a two-day comprehensive assessment program for its newly inducted students of MMS 2025–27. The assessment was conducted to measure the students’ aptitude, communication, reasoning, and behavioural skills, ensuring a holistic understanding of their abilities.
The execution of the two-day assessment was innovatively designed as a live project for the students of MMS 2024–26 specializing in Marketing, Operations, and Human Resources. The Marketing students took charge of branding, bringing creativity and innovation to the forefront by designing the event theme around the Pitstop of Formula 1, complete with dynamic creatives and an experiential race-like atmosphere. The Operations students leveraged their expertise to develop real-time dashboards for tracking and monitoring assessment results with precision and efficiency. Meanwhile, the HR students curated and structured the assessments to evaluate participants’ competencies, applying their human resource management and talent evaluation skills effectively.
This initiative not only enabled the newly inducted batch to be assessed comprehensively but also gave the senior batch an opportunity to apply their classroom learnings in a practical, industry-relevant project, fostering collaboration, innovation, and experiential learning.

MET Institute of Management’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC) conducted its calendar activity, an Expert Talk on the Process of Innovation Development, Technology Readiness Level (TRL), during Aarohan 2.0 - MPower 365: Unleashing Empowerment for Every Day on 6th January 2025.
The session was conducted by Mr. Rakesh Rathod, Evangelist, smallcase, who emphasized the importance of personal branding in creating a strong professional identity and maintaining authenticity. He shared actionable strategies for students to develop their unique value proposition and align their personal and professional goals. Additionally, he emphasized personal finance, offering practical tips on financial planning to help students manage their resources effectively and prepare for long-term success.
Mr. Rathod also provided insights into the Process of Innovation Development, Technology Readiness Level (TRL), a framework used to assess and advance the maturity of technologies from concept to deployment. He highlighted the significance of a structured approach to innovation and shared steps to bridge the gap between ideation and implementation.

MET Institute of Management’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC) conducted its Self Driven Activity, My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Start-up Founder, during Aarohan 2.0 - MPower 365: Unleashing Empowerment for Every Day on January 6, 2025.
The session was conducted by Ms. Srishti Srivastava, Founder and CEO, Infiheal, who shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey, highlighting her experiences building a startup focused on mental health and wellness.
She explored the transformative role of technology in enhancing accessibility and personalization in mental health care, encouraging students to adopt tech-driven solutions for better well-being. Ms. Srivastava emphasized the need for innovative thinking and resilience in entrepreneurship, motivating participants to identify societal challenges, embrace problem-solving approaches, and develop impactful, scalable business ideas that address critical mental health needs.
Aarohan 2.0 - MPower 365

MET Institute of Management organized an orientation session for the Semester II MMS Batch 2024-26, Aarohan 2.0 - MPower 365: Unleashing Empowerment for Every Day, on 6th January 2025. The event hosted Mr. Nivrutti Bavaskar, North Cyber Police Station, CID, Mumbai, who conducted a session on cyber security. His insightful presentation highlighted the growing importance of digital safety and the necessary precautions to protect against cyber threats in today\'s increasingly connected world.
Mr. Bavaskar shared crucial knowledge on cybercrimes and security breaches, emphasizing the tactics employed by cybercriminals. He provided actionable tips on safeguarding personal and professional digital identities and urged students to stay vigilant in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Aarohan 2.0 formally commenced Semester II by equipping students with both inspiration and practical tools to excel in their personal and professional lives.
Summer Guide Meet 2025

On 23rd August 2025, MET Mumbai hosted the Summer Guide Meet 2025 for the Management Batch 2024–26, marking a significant step in strengthening industry-academia collaboration.
The initiative, designed as a tribute to corporate mentors, provided a platform for dialogue between industry leaders, faculty, and students. The event commenced with Saraswati Vandana, followed by an address from Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, setting the tone for the day.
The sessions featured a welcome address by CA Dr Das Shyamsundar, Director, MET Institute of PGDM, and a theme setting by Prof.(Dr.) Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Amit Karnik Business Unit Delivery Head at TCS, alongside insights from Guest of Honour Mr. Dipesh Kumar D. Associate Director – Sales at Xanadu, and a special address by Ms. Kunmoon Panda, Head HR at Borzo.
Students presented their Summer Internship projects, showcasing innovative and practical solutions to industry challenges. The best projects were recognised with trophies and certificates. An industry insights forum, moderated by Dr. Harshada Mulay added further value to the proceedings, before concluding with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Jyotsna Munshi, Deputy Director, Corporate Relations, MET.
The Summer Guide Meet 2025 stood out as more than an academic event; it was a milestone in nurturing stronger bonds between industry and academia. The participation of mentors, dignitaries, faculty, and students ensured its resounding success.
Independence Day 2025

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant events across its campuses. The grand flag-hoisting ceremony was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, along with Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Education Trust, and Guest of Honour Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retired Deputy General of Police. The presence of our esteemed Institute Directors, Principals, and Heads made the occasion truly memorable. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour, reminding us of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility towards our nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant cultural celebration that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of its students. The event featured a House-wise Music Competition, artistic mosaics honouring freedom fighters, patriotic dance performances by Primary students, and a thought-provoking roleplay by AS & A Level students, depicting conversations between freedom fighters and today’s youth. Students from Pre-Primary to AS Levels participated with great zeal, making the celebration both inspiring and memorable.
The day was a true reflection of MET’s commitment to nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. As the Tricolour fluttered high, every heart resonated with the promise to uphold the spirit of freedom.
TCS Day 2025

MET Corporate Relations and MET Institute of Management, in association with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), organized TCS Day for the students of MMS 2024–26 on 23rd July 2025. The event was an excellent opportunity for students to interact with industry leaders and gain practical insights into the expectations of the corporate world. The session was led by senior leaders from TCS – Mr. Milind Kamble, Vice President and Delivery Centre Head - Mumbai; Mr. Gaurav Ghelani, Region Head – Talent Acquisition Group; and Ms. Sneha Wadekar, Region Head – Academic Alliances.
The speakers provided the students with a detailed overview of TCS, covering its global operations, work culture, and vision for future growth. They focused on the importance of building corporate readiness and enhancing students’ employment quotient to prepare them for successful careers. The session also included a discussion on the various roles offered by TCS to management graduates, along with the key competencies and professional expectations the organization looks for in potential candidates. The insights shared helped students understand how to align their learning with industry demands and develop a well-rounded professional profile.
TCS also conducted an engaging quiz during the session, which saw enthusiastic participation from the students. The winners were presented with TCS-branded t-shirts as a token of appreciation, making the experience both enriching and memorable.

World Brain Day 2025

On the occasion of World Brain Day 2025, MET Institute of Management was privileged to host an enlightening session on promoting brain health, conducted by renowned Neurologist and Philanthropist, Dr. Nirmal Surya, Hon. Trustee, MET.
Addressing the students of MMS 2024 - 26, Dr. Surya shared deep insights into the nuances of brain health and the evolution of brain development over time. Emphasizing the brain as the body’s most valuable asset, he introduced the students to the six essential pillars of maintaining a healthy brain. The session also aimed at busting common myths and clarifying facts associated with brain functioning and wellness, encouraging students to be mindful of their mental and neurological well-being.
The session concluded with an interactive quiz on brain and health, aimed at reinforcing key learnings and engaging students in a fun yet informative manner. The initiative served as an important step in fostering awareness and inspiring lifestyle changes that support long-term cognitive wellness. The winners will be awarded on 2nd Aug 2025 in a ceremony at MET.
MET Celebrates Social Justice Day – Shahu Maharaj Jayanti

On 26th June 2025, the MET solemnly commemorated the birth anniversary of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, the eminent social reformer and pioneer of educational equity. Faculty members, staff, and students gathered to honor the legacy of a leader whose visionary efforts reshaped access to education and uplifted marginalized communities.
The ceremony began with a floral tribute offered by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Principal, MET Institute of Computer Science, Dr. Abha Doshi, Principal, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), and Mr. Ashwin Rane, Registrar, Mumbai Educational Trust.
The MET community united in remembrance of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj’s unwavering commitment to social justice, equality, and inclusive education, values that continue to inspire educational institutions across the country.
As part of the event, Dr. Sonali Naik, Associate Professor, MET IOP (Degree), shared a reflective address on the life and legacy of the great reformer. Her talk underscored the importance of carrying forward his mission to create a more just and equitable society through education.
The observance on 26th June served as a tribute to a towering historical figure and a reaffirmation of MET’s dedication to fostering inclusive and socially conscious learning environments.
