WHY CHOOSE US?

Welcome to the World Where Ideas Are Headlines

Enter the exciting world of Mass Media, where creativity drives change, stories change how people think, and one idea can reach millions. There is a mix of passion, precision, and purpose behind the spotlight. At MET Institute of Mass Media (MET IMM), we teach you how to master all three.

Every day, new trends, tools, and technologies come out in a world that never stops. It's not enough to just keep up; you also have to lead the story. That's why you don't just learn about media at MET IMM; you live it

Here, you learn by doing real campaigns, working on live projects, and talking to industry legends who have been there, done that, and owned the hashtag! Every day here is like a day in the newsroom, on set, or at a pitch meeting. We come up with ad ideas, figure out what digital trends mean, and make sure our content is on point.

When it's time to go out into the real world, you won't just go in; you'll own your space with creativity, clarity, and confidence.

That's why MET IMM is one of the best places in Mumbai for people who want to work in the media to go. It's where future storytellers, strategists, and creators are born.

MET Media Collective: Where Classrooms and Campaigns Meet!

Welcome to the MET Media Collective, our own on-campus media agency where creativity is always on time and deadlines mean showtime!

This one-of-a-kind project turned MET IMM into a busy creative agency right on campus. It was started in September 2025 and launched by the legendary KV Shridhar (Pops), one of India's most famous advertising minds.

Students don't just learn about media here; they live it. The Collective is where ideas turn into real work. They make ads, run social media pages, design brand identities, make videos, host live events, and even handle real client briefs from industry partners.

It's a place for creators, strategists, filmmakers, writers, designers, and dreamers to work together to turn ideas into real change.

At MET Media Collective, every project is with real brands, real deadlines, and real expectations. You'll be mentored by faculty and industry experts who have done it all. Before you even graduate, this is the best place to build your portfolio, your confidence, and your creative tribe.

At MET IMM, we don't wait for the future of media; we make it happen, one brief at a time.

From Academician's Desk

At MET Institute of Mass Media, we don't do classrooms that smell of chalk dust and routine. You won't find students memorising definitions or waiting for bells to tell them when to think. Here, learning happens in motion. In studios that buzz. In corridors where ideas argue. In spaces that feel more like a newsroom than a lecture hall.

We believe learning should be lived, not lectured. You will find yourself debating, building, stumbling, fixing, and discovering. Your mentors will not just teach from slides. They will speak from the pulse of the industry itself. Journalists who have chased deadlines. Creators who have gone viral. Strategists who have made brands breathe.

The best part is, you won't be outside looking in. You'll step right into the pulse of the media world and rise to the highest standards the industry can shape within an individual.

The heartbeat of it all is the MET Media Collective, Mumbai's first student-run campus media agency. It is not an afterthought or an internship checkbox. It is where stories are made, pitches are fought for, and ideas find their audience.

You will explore everything. Journalism that questions. PR that persuades. Advertising that dreams. Digital media that transforms. Even the strange new symphony of AI and art.

Every brief will demand more of you. Every mistake will carve you finer. Every victory will remind you how much farther there is to go. And through it all, you will have mentors, not instructors. People who walk beside you, nudging you, challenging you, and sometimes letting silence do the teaching. This is not a course that prepares you for the industry. It throws you right into its bloodstream.

By the time you complete the PGP in Mass Communication and Media Management, you will carry more than a certificate. You will carry a body of work, a sense of direction, and the quiet confidence that comes from having done it.

If you are looking for a place where learning feels real, restless, and alive, you have found it.

Welcome to the future of media. Welcome to MET Institute of Mass Media.

Dr. Priya Menon Nair

Director

MET Institute of Mass Media

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer.”
- Harriet Tubman

The world we live in today has already surpassed the expectations and imaginations of the people living just five decades ago. There is such a tremendous power now to communicate with the masses just in a fraction of a second. According to various data published, India is likely to have 900 million internet users in 2025 (IAMAI-Kantar ICUBE 2020 report). With about 96% using the internet for entertainment, 90% for communication, 82% for social media and 45% for some kind of online transactions. All this points to the fact that India is poised for further rapid growth in the field of Mass Media. Newer formats like OTT, internet on the go and live streaming have already changed the landscape of communication and entertainment which will further witness transformation and innovation.

Needless to state that with this projected growth, the media sector requires trained media professionals. Therefore in order to cater to this tremendous growth, media education also requires an approach which is more practical than just being theory based. This is where MET Institute of Mass Media bridges the gap to empower the dreamers who are willing to dream big. MET presents an entirely different perspective to media teaching and learning, offering a solid 360 degrees, hands-on approach with intensive classroom sessions, exhaustive practical exercises and live projects guided by industry mentors.

The post graduate programmes in Advertising, Entertainment, Journalism & Public Relations and Digital Marketing at MET Institute of Mass Media are structured to lay a solid foundation on which you can build an ambitious, rewarding and satisfying media career in the communications industry.

Wishing you all the best to attain your dream career and fulfil your passion.
