About MET IOP
The MET Institute of Pharmacy was established in the year 1993 with the two-year Diploma programme in Pharmacy (D. Pharm.) recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education. The four-year Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy (B. Pharm.) affiliated to the Mumbai University was started in the year 1994. The MET IOP is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
The Institute pursues the philosophy of perpetual acquisition of knowledge. Apart from academic curriculum, our policy has been to provide value based education and to expose the hidden potential in the students. Our students have free access to the computer facilities and are provided with LCD projector in the class room for their seminar presentation. Our aim is not to make the students mere job-seekers but to make them the architects of their future.
Over the years, several distinction holders and University toppers have graduated from our institute. Our students not only excel academics but they have been champions at various cultural and sports competitions. The average result each year is above 90%. Our alumni are doing us proud all over the globe by being leaders in their choice of vocation.

'VIDHYA DHANAM SARVA DHAN PRADHANAM’ is the motto of the MET League of College. The MET Institute of Pharmacy offers both Diploma & Degree courses in Pharmacy. The students, fresh out of junior college are trained in the various aspects of pharmaceutical sciences and then they emerge as professionals in the field of pharmacy. We believe not only in academic excellence but also in the overall development of our students. With high moral values, our students blend professionalism and a sense of social responsibility so as to be recognized as dutiful citizens of the country.
Over the last 15 years some of our students by virtue of being 'university toppers' have made us proud. Each year the academic excellence is reflected by the number of students who are distinction holders. At the same time, our students also actively participate in the intercollegiate events like Rx festival and lot of extra-curricular activities throughout the year.
Once the students have graduated in the field of pharmacy manifold options are available to them. They have pursued higher studies in the field of pharmacy/management (in India or abroad), joined the industry, hospital pharmacy and clinical research. Wherever they have been, the METizens have left their mark and done us proud.

Pharmaceutical education plays a very important role in producing pharmacists who are professional drug specialists. A pharmacist can play a role of Hospital Pharmacist in hospital service for patients or can play a role of community pharmacist,as a retail pharmacist, who interacts directly with public and dispenses medicines.
We at MET Institute of Pharmacy, with a vision of being a leading institute, ensure all round development of the students. Over a period of time our students have achieved prizes and awards in various State level and National level intercollegiate competitions (Poster presentation, Paper presentation, Model making competitions, and Quiz competitions).
The Pharmacy retail market in India continues to grow at a considerable pace due to prevalence of various communicable and noncommunicable diseases due to industrialization and fast urbanization. Therefore we are committed to produce well trained and skillful Pharmacists to cater the health care needs of the society.

Programmes Offered
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharm)
Four-year Bachelor's programme in Pharmacy affiliated to the Mumbai University and recognised by PCI.
Programme Objective
A programme specifically designed to create professionals who will make a mark in the pharmaceutical industry.
Eligibility
- An Indian, having passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects individually
- Should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain a non zero score in MHT-CET 2025 Pharmacy (Maharashtra candidate) or Non zero positive score in NEET-2025 (All India candidate)
Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm)
Two-year full-time Diploma programme in Pharmacy recognised by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE).
Programme Objective
A programme specifically designed to create professionals who will make a mark in the pharmaceutical industry. On completion of the programme the students can get registration as pharmacist and can run their own medical shops.
Eligibility
- The Candidate should be an Indian national.
- Passed HSC Science with Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects: Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology) from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State or Outside Maharashtra State.
