MET Institute of Management during the IIC calendar event organised \'My Story - Motivational Session by Successful Innovator.\' The session was led by Ms. Sakshi Sasane, Founder & CEO of Astt. India.
Through a compelling narrative, she inspired both students and faculty by sharing insights into her personal and professional journey. Ms. Sasane facilitated a seamless knowledge transfer, emphasising key principles, addressing challenges, and imparting valuable lessons on the entrepreneurial adventure. She also provided valuable insights into innovation and startups within the luxury sector.
Alumni Interaction: Navigating Success in Academics and Beyond

To guide and motivate the newly inducted students of MMS 2023-25 batch in their academic and personal journey, MET Institute of Management organised an Alumni Interaction Day featuring five accomplished alumni from varied industries, including Hospitality, BFSI, Market Research and Human Resources.
Ms. Kashish Ramchandani (MMS 2005-07), Founder, Flavour Splash Gourmet Kitchen, shared her entrepreneurial journey from campus to corporate while reminiscing about her academic life at MET. Mr. Saurabh Karve (MMS 2012-14), Senior Manager - Consumer Insights, JioCinema, discussed the dynamic field of consumer insights, highlighting the importance of data-driven decision-making and the ever-evolving media landscape. Mr. Rohan Desai (MMS 2012-14), Manager – HR, HDFC Bank, spoke about the critical role HR plays in organisational success, emphasising the need for effective talent management, employee engagement and HR strategies. He underscored humility as a key virtue for personal and professional success. Ms. Ketki Hoskar (MMS 2013-15), Manager - Talent Management, Learning & OE, Aditya Birla Management Corporation Pvt Ltd, shared her expertise in talent development and organisational effectiveness, emphasising the significance of continuous learning, growth and experimentation within an organisation. Mr. Tejas Kokate (MMS 2017-19), HR Analyst, Alexander Mann Solutions, emphasised the importance of resilience, adaptability and a growth mindset. He encouraged the students to be open for new experiences, take risks and embrace learning as a lifelong journey.
Zero Waste Week

Marking the end of the ‘Zero Waste Week’ (30th March 2023 to 5th April 2023) the Circular Lab & the Social Cause Committee at MET Institute of Management unveiled the eco-brick table at the hands of actor and social entrepreneurs, Mr. Karanvir Bohra and Ms. Teejay Sidhu.
The Social Cause Committee at MET Institute of Management, showcasing its pledge to waste management and sustainability created a writing table using eco-bricks created from non-recyclable waste i.e PET bottles and Single-use plastic. The initiative was started by the Social Cause Committee in the month of February 2023 where student members of the Committee began collecting single-use plastic waste from students of MET IOM. Students then created eco-bricks using the waste generated from the Institute and made a table of it. This recycled table would be donated to underprivileged students who are a part of the ‘Adhyapan’, an initiative of the Institute.
At the event, the Sustainability Initiatives and Zero Waste Audit Report were also inaugurated. The Audit Report’s data was collected and assessed by ICCE to evaluate the Institute’s efforts in creating a Green Campus and awareness about green initiatives at the Institute.
Women Leadership Forum 2023

MET Institute of Management organised ‘Women Leadership Forum’ under the aegis of MET IOM’s Women Development Cell & IIC. The event witnessed two panel discussions.
A Panel discussion on ‘Leadership Crossing Divides’ featured eminent panelist from across the sectors - Ms. Nidhi Choudhari, Joint Commissioner - Sales Tax, Maharashtra, Dr. Ritu Anand, Chief Leadership & Diversity Officer, Tata Consultancy Services, Ms. Meghna Rao, Director, Pluspak Containers Pvt. Ltd., Ms. Harsha Vatnani, Head Talent Management, BSH Home Appliances (Bosch), and it was moderated by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM. The esteemed womens shared their life experience on concepts related to diversity in today’s corporate world.
Dr. Ritu Anand mentioned experiences gained while she was pursuing her PhD. She briefed students on the importance of building confidence. Ms. Nidhi Choudhary threw light on the experiences that led her to join the civil service. She introduced students to the dynamic issues that civil service personnel handle. Ms. Meghna Rao mentioned her passion for problem-solving and how she loves to deal with chaos. She gave students the important advice of conducting a low-cost self-discovery as a prequel to finding your passion.
The second panel discussion consisted of young female leaders who are carving a path in the field of real estate, sports, consulting and healthcare. The panel comprised Ms. Sheetal Sapale, VP Commercial, Pharmarack AWACS, Ms. Pooja Surve, Indian Rhythmic Gymnast & Sports Champion, Ms. Dinkle Shah, Consultant, Deloitte & Para Athlete and Ms. Nitika, Deputy General Manager- Brand Marketing, Xanadu. The panel was moderated by Ms. Ria Patnaik, Assistant Professor, MET IOM. The discussions revolved around career prospects and the introduction of job roles in the field of sales and marketing.
Ms Sheetal Sapale, alumni, MET IOM shared her journey as a student transitioning into the corporate world. She gave students a practical understanding of the concept of sales and marketing in the corporate world by sharing her professional stints at various companies. Ms. Pooja Surve discussed her life struggles and experiences she gained while being an athlete. She gave students important advice on following one\'s passion and setting high standards. Ms. Dinkle Shah shared her experience juggling her life as a para-athlete and pursuing her MBA degree. She exposed students to the skill sets required to succeed in the world of consulting.
Intra Institutional Startup Competition (YUKTI-NIR)

In celebration of ‘World Entrepreneurship Day,’ MET IOM IIC orchestrated the ‘Intra Institutional Startup Competition (YUKTI-NIR)’ on 23 August 2023, where the air was electric with innovation and a change-driven mindset. In a field of 42 impressive group participants, the spotlight shine on 13 exceptional MET IOM students who presented their business plans before a distinguished panel of investors.
The occasion was graced by esteemed luminaries, including Mr. Amit Rathi, Head Business Strategist at IBS Fintech and a MET IOM alumnus; Mr. Anish Maheshwari, Group CFO at Navkar Corporation Ltd., renowned for his investment in over 15 startups; and Dr. Arun Raaza, CEO of Arcomm Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an inspiring innovator and entrepreneur in his own right.
The selected students are poised to advance to the next round of presentations, with the potential to secure seed funding that will propel their entrepreneurial ventures forward. HR Conclave 2023: The Future of HR with Artificial Intelligence

MET Institute of Management (MET IOM), in collaboration with the HR Federation of India
(HRFI), the nation\'s largest association of HR professionals, proudly hosted its annual
HR Conclave in August 2023. This year\'s Conclave centered around the timely theme of
the latest disruptions brought about by Artificial Intelligence (AI), encapsulated by the
theme - \'Empowering Employee Experience Through Artificial Intelligence\'. Drawing a
remarkable audience of around 500 HR professionals spanning various industries, the
event provided a platform for distinguished HR experts to share their invaluable insights
on the fusion of technology and HR practices.
The inauguration of the HR Conclave was marked with Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee,
Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) illuminating the ceremonial lamp and delivering a
thought-provoking discourse on the ever-expanding role of Artificial Intelligence in our
daily lives. It was followed by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management
who extended a warm welcome to the esteemed panelists and speakers, her address
delved into the profound potential of AI in reshaping the landscape of work and enriching
the employee journey.
Renowned figures from the industry, including Mr. Sahil Nayar, HR Evangelist, KPMG;
Mr. Shrikant Vadapalli, Head of Capability, Jio Platforms; Mr. Anindito De, AI Technology
Practice Head, WIPRO; Mr. Da Sachin Sharma, Chief Brand/Creative Officer, Mobilla; and
Ms. Ankita Rudra, HR Program Specialist, Tata Tele Business, lent their expertise to
unravel the intricate relationship between HR and AI. Their guidance assisted attendees
in decoding the convergence of HR and technology, shedding light on innovative
approaches for leveraging technology to streamline recruitment processes, facilitate
career advancement, and foster employee development.
The culmination of the HR Conclave featured a stimulating panel discussion, graced by
distinguished participants - Mr. Amit Batra, Program Manager, TCS Corporate Marketing
Research & Advisory; Ms. Rajni Khurana, Executive Director & Head of HR, Indospace;
Mr. Jonathan D\'souza, Chief Human Resources Officer, Welspun One Logistics Park; and
Dr. Farida Virani, Professor, MET Institute of Management. Leading the discourse was the
accomplished Ms. Kalpana Bansal, Solution Head for Talent and AI, Darwin Box. The
panel deliberated on the multifaceted applications of AI, with a specific focus on content
summarization, classification, and sentiment analysis. The discourse also explored the
nexus between an organization\'s digital maturity and the efficacy of Generative AI.
Notably, the HR Conclave 2023 showcased a significant milestone for MET Institute of
Management, Mumbai in the realm of sustainability and climate change with the
introduction of the Climate Clock. Crafted by the ingenious MMS students of MET
Mumbai in collaboration with IIT Bombay, this innovative creation serves as a visual
reminder of the urgency and significance of addressing climate change.
The HR Conclave, with its profound discussions, enlightening panels, and impactful
initiatives, stands as a testament to unwavering commitment of MET Institute of
Management, Mumbai to advancing HR practices in the age of AI and technology.
International Yoga Day 2023

Through the practice of Yoga, the Force within us awakens!
On 21st June 2023 at MET Institute of Management, the certified yoga practitioners, Dr. Rashmi Bhadani and Mr. Alok Bhadani, demonstrated pranayama and asanas that can be performed on the chair; for all our staff members. These asanas are easy to incorporate into our daily work routines, we can cultivate resilience, enhance productivity and nurture our overall well-being.
On this special day, let us celebrate the unity we find on our mats, for it is through yoga that we discover our true power. It is in these moments of stillness that we find clarity, focus and renewed energy to face the tasks at hand.
Mixer for Finnish Higher Education

Recognising the importance of the global exposure to our current education system, MET Institute of Management organised a ‘Mixer for Finnish Higher Education’ event on 18th April 2023. The same was held at the MET Convention Centre. The event drew participation from various Institute Delegation, Indian Education Professionals and members of the Finland Alumni Network in India. The event provided a platform for the Indian and Finnish Institutes to form valuable connections for the greater good of the education system and the Institute as a whole.
The Mixer event commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM followed by the Trustee’s address by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, Mumbai Education Trust who introduced the Institute, its working and values to the various Finnish educational heads present delving a bit deeper on MET’s faculty and student initiatives.
The welcome address was followed by the opening address by H.E Erik af Hällström, Consul-General of Finland in Mumbai. Mr. Hällström briefed the representatives present on various opportunities that lie in Finland and also the vision of Finland with respect to innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.
The event also included addresses by the representatives from the Finland Alumni Network in India, Ms. Rhythm Bhatia and Mr. Ashwin Sivakumar. The two alumni discussed their journey and learnings from Finnish exposure and briefed on their entrepreneurial journey.
During the event representatives of various participating higher education Institutes namely Aalto University, Centria UAS, Haaga-Helia, Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Satakunta University of Applied Sciences: SAMK, University of Eastern Finland, University of Oulu, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences (VAMK) and University of Turku briefed the audience present on their respective institutes and initiatives for further collaboration in areas of student participation, upskilling, collaborative research, innovation, technology and entrepreneurship. The closing remarks for the event were given by Mr. Harri Hälvä, Senior Marketing Specialist - Study in Finland, Finnish National Agency for Education who introduced the functioning and the opportunities that Finnish higher educational institutions have to offer.
The Mixer event ended with a fruitful networking and dinner party with all representatives of the Indian and Finnish Institutions.

Republic Day @ MET

Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India by hoisting the Tricolour by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, Heads of the Institutes and Departments.
MET resonated with patriotic zeal as MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students presented an instrumental performance, patriotic song renditions and speeches to honour the occasion by displaying the rich, traditional and cultural heritage and feeling proud to be a part of our nation. MMS students from the MET Institute of Management organised a Constitution Quiz for all the MET and MRV students & parents to boost their knowledge of the Constitution of India.
The event\'s highlight was the MET Awards - MET Bhushan, bestowed on dedicated MET employees for completing 15 years of passionate service, MET Gaurav, faculty and students were honoured for demonstrating excellence at international & domestic levels in Academic, Research & Sports and MET Ratna, facilitated to students for their achievement of being the academic toppers in their respective courses.
MMS Students secures 3rd Position at Inter college fest competition

MET Institute of Management is proud to announce about Students Mr. Akshay Rane, Mr.
Omkar Desai and Mr. Sahil Bhamre (Team METAOS), MMS Batch 2022-24 on securing 3 rd
position at ‘Sterope: Operate, Organise, Optimize’, part of the annual fest Crest organised by
Team OPUS (Operation Club) of Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM), Gurugram
(Gurgaon).
In this pan India event, 1st round was an online quiz, 2nd round was a submission based on
an idea/product pitch on achieving operational excellence. The teams shortlisted for the final
round were called to the GLIM, Gurgaon campus. The final round was based on the concept
of ‘Kaizen’. The participants were required to iterate their existing design of the
product/process into improving the functioning of the GLIM Gurgaon campus. The
competition gave students an opportunity to explore new paradigms of analytical mindset to
solve real business problems with application of management know-how.
Mumbai Educational Trust and Delphic Council of Maharashtra Celebrate 28 Years of International Delphic Movement

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) partnered with the International Delphic council and Delphic
Council of Maharashtra formed the Delphic Art Wall at its campus in Bandra on 15 December
2022. It even marked the celebration of 28 years of the International Delphic Movement.
Thousands of students from MET Institutes and MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV) participated in
the Delphic Art Wall. It was a Unity Project and a global attempt to make a record for the
longest Art Wall, running 11 kilometres by 2025. On this occasion MET, a more than 30 years
old recognized educational league, also announced Delphic Clubs for School and College
Students that will further strengthen their contribution towards the cultural cause. The Delphic
Games even referred to the Twin Sisters of the Olympic Games. Delphic is to arts and culture
equivalent to what the Olympics is to physical sports. The Delphic Games in modern bits are
hosted and driven by the International Delphic Council based in Berlin.
The Delphic Movement promotes harmony in the community via artistic engagement to boost
Art and Culture. The Live Art Wall Canvas Painting of 70 Meters by MET and MET Rishikul
Vidyalaya\'s students portrayed the art and culture of Maharashtra around the theme of
\'Water\'. The paintings made at MET have further ties with various states and countries to
develop an 11 kilometers long Art Wall at the time of the Delphic Games in an attempt to make
an entry in Guinness Book of World Records.
The event was inaugurated with a live painting by the world renowned calligraphy artist from
Maharashtra Mr. Achyut Palav and Artist Mr. Nilesh Mohite in the presence of Mr. Pankaj
Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET
and Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General, International Delphic Council. Ms. Soumni Paul,
Vice President, Hungama Music, Core Members of Delphic Council Maharashtra, Mr. Suresh
Thomas, President, Maharashtra Delphic Council, Ms. Anuja Sahai, Mr. Abhijeet Bhujbal, Mr. Ali
Akbar Rizvi, Ms. Sejal Gala, Ms. Dipti Shah, and Mr. Susheel Mistry also graced the inaugural
ceremony.
The carnival witnessed diverse kinds of Folk and Tribal dances like Tarpa Dance, Dhol Dance,
and Nandi Dance performances expressing the Arts and Culture of Maharashtra by students of
MET and MRV. This International Delphic Movement even featured a Fashion Show portraying
outfits that showcase Maharashtra\'s culture in sync with the Delphic Art wall live paintings by
MET\'s students.
Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee MET expressed his delight on the Delphic as an idea
attempting to unite the world via Arts & Culture. He said, \"MET as an institution that offers programmes and courses is based on the premise of values rooted in our Culture and therefore
Arts that express our Cultures. We find the Delphic Movement a valuable resource to give our
students the global platforms they deserve.\"
Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General of the International Delphic Council, a Cultural
Entrepreneur, and the founder of the Art School, expressed, \"I\'d love to tell you that the
foundation of the Mumbai Education Trust (MET) is about bringing a cultural value system into
children who study with you. The International Delphic Council completely subscribes to that
statement since we are based on the idea of the Delphic spirit.\" He also added, \"When we are
talking about a school year is what a wonderful gathering - we are talking about the very core
values that we require to be able to grow as human beings. One of the core values is love which
is about the spiritual balance between you and the universe & the rest of you; that is why we go
to schools & have these Cultural Value Systems with us.\"
In general, the Delphic Art Movement at MET and MRV gives students an opportunity to unveil
and symbolize Maharashtra\'s rich Art and Culture. The Delphic Clubs at MRV School and MET
Institutes will continue to serve as a platform to encourage Arts and Cultural exhibits amongst
the learner community.
