Celebrating Teacher\'s Day at MET IOP Diploma

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) celebrates Teacher’s Day 2025 on 5th September 2025, as the second-year Diploma students came together to honour their beloved faculty and staff. The event beautifully reflected the spirit of respect, admiration, and togetherness that defines the teacher-student relationship.
The celebration began with warm and emotional speeches from students, expressing appreciation for the constant guidance, encouragement, and support provided by the teaching and non-teaching staff. Fun-filled games and interactive sessions added to the festive atmosphere, bringing teachers and students together in moments of laughter and camaraderie.
A cake-cutting ceremony highlighted the sweetness of the teacher-student bond, while tokens of appreciation presented by the students carried immense emotional value, received with warmth and gratitude by the faculty and staff.
The day concluded with group photographs, cheerful smiles, and cherished memories, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride in being part of the MET family.
Farewell Batch 2023–2025

Batch 2023-25 with a memorable farewell celebration on 28th July 2025 at the MET Convention Hall, organized by the first-year students under the guidance of Dr. Suryakant D. Bhosale, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) and Ms. Payal Chavan, Assistant Professor and Cultural In-charge, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma), the evening was filled with laughter, performances, heartfelt speeches, and cherished memories.
As the graduating students step into a new chapter, MET extends its best wishes for their bright and successful future.
Smart India Hackathon 2025

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) successfully hosted the Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 on 19th & 20th September 2025.
The event served as a dynamic platform for our third and fourth-year students to showcase innovative solutions to real-world problem statements, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and practical application of knowledge. With 19 enthusiastic teams participating, the hackathon highlighted the spirit of collaboration and innovation.
We were honoured by the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, who motivated students with his words of encouragement. The jury panel, which included, Mr. Shailesh Sargade (Assistant Professor, MET Institute of Management), Mrs. Vrushali Keer, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), and Dr. Sindhu Menon, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) – evaluated the solutions on creativity, feasibility, and impact, providing valuable feedback. The event was seamlessly co-ordinated by Dr. Rashmi Srivastava, SIH SPOC & Associate Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree).
The Internal SIH 2025 marks a step forward in nurturing problem-solvers and preparing future leaders who will contribute to nation-building.
Session on Innovative Assessment at 5-Day FDP

On the 5th and final day of the 5-day Faculty Development Programme conducted by MET CET, Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head, MET CET, led a session on Innovative Assessment.
The session highlighted how assessments can go beyond measuring knowledge to nurturing creativity, deeper learning, and holistic student growth—reflecting MET’s commitment to progressive teaching practices and academic excellence.
Awareness Session on Skin Donation at MET IOP (Degree)

On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) – DLLE and Green Club, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay, Kandivali, organized an impactful awareness session on Skin Donation.
Led by experts Mr. Nazin Vazirani and Mr. Haresh Shinde from Burns Centre Airoli, the session highlighted the importance, process, and life-changing impact of skin donation. The event also witnessed the gracious presence of Ms. Anita Pandit (Past President) and Ms. Chitra (Shakti President) of the Inner Wheel Club.
The interactive session not only dispelled myths but also inspired participants to contribute towards this noble cause and spread awareness in society.
Eco-Friendly Tribute to the Nation

Students of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) celebrates Independence Day, as part of the celebration, the students showcased their creativity by making eco-friendly rangoli, symbolizing national pride and environmental awareness. Their efforts highlighted both artistic talent and a message of sustainability.
The program also included inspiring speeches on the significance of freedom and responsibilities of the youth. The celebration concluded with a sense of unity, pride, and dedication towards the nation.
Greenesha 2025: Rangoli for a Greener Tomorrow

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), in collaboration with United Way Mumbai, hosted Greenesha 2025 – an eco-friendly celebration dedicated to promoting sustainable and conscious festivities.
Students participated in a vibrant Eco-Friendly Rangoli Making Competition, using natural and sustainable materials to create beautiful rangolis that carried powerful messages of environmental conservation.
The event not only celebrated the festive spirit of Ganesh Utsav but also inspired everyone to embrace greener, responsible traditions.
Narali Poornima Celebration at MET IOP (Degree)

The Student Council and Green Club of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) celebrated Narali Poornima on 8th August with great enthusiasm, blending cultural traditions with contemporary perspectives.
The occasion featured an insightful presentation by Ms. Riva Tombri, TY B.Pharm, on the festival’s meaning, significance, and relevance in today’s times, followed by a discussion by faculty member Ms. Vrushali Keer, who connected cultural rituals with sustainability and holistic living.
The celebration offered students an enriching experience of India’s cultural heritage, while also emphasizing environmental awareness and sustainable practices.

Nag Panchami Celebrated with Scientific Insight

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) celebrated Nag Panchami on 29th July 2025, with devotion and scientific curiosity. The event began with a traditional puja, symbolizing reverence for nature and snakes.
Adding an academic dimension to the celebration, Ms. Apoorva Gajula and Ms. Gauri Chandak, third-year B. Pharm students, delivered an insightful presentation on snake venom, elaborating on its mechanism of action, the development and use of antivenoms, and its therapeutic applications in modern medicine.
The session beautifully blended cultural tradition with scientific knowledge, offering students an enriching learning experience. With enthusiastic participation from faculty and students, the event highlighted the medical significance of snakes while fostering curiosity and awareness.
Waste Management & Conservation Awareness Session

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), in collaboration with United Way Mumbai, organised an impactful awareness lecture on World Conservation Day on 28th July 2025, focusing on waste management and segregation.
The session, led by Ms. Shraddha Sawant, shed light on the urgent need for environmental conservation, highlighting individual responsibility, consequences of neglect, and sustainable practices. Through quizzes and interactive waste segregation activities, students gained practical insights into protecting our planet.
The session was engaging, informative, and made everyone more aware of the small steps we can take to help the planet.
Independence Day 2025

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant events across its campuses. The grand flag-hoisting ceremony was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, along with Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Education Trust, and Guest of Honour Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retired Deputy General of Police. The presence of our esteemed Institute Directors, Principals, and Heads made the occasion truly memorable. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour, reminding us of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility towards our nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant cultural celebration that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of its students. The event featured a House-wise Music Competition, artistic mosaics honouring freedom fighters, patriotic dance performances by Primary students, and a thought-provoking roleplay by AS & A Level students, depicting conversations between freedom fighters and today’s youth. Students from Pre-Primary to AS Levels participated with great zeal, making the celebration both inspiring and memorable.
The day was a true reflection of MET’s commitment to nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. As the Tricolour fluttered high, every heart resonated with the promise to uphold the spirit of freedom.
