MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organised an Eco-friendly Rakhi Making Competition on 6th August 2025, celebrating the spirit of Raksha Bandhan through creativity and sustainability. The event, coordinated by Synergy – The Cultural Committee in collaboration with the DLLE Club, encouraged students to design innovative rakhis using eco-friendly materials such as threads, beads, mirrors, wool, and other decorative items.

Participants showcased exceptional artistry, blending cultural traditions with environmental consciousness. The competition concluded with outstanding performances. First Prize was awarded to Ms. Riya Patwa and Ms. Stuti Singh, Second Prize to Ms. Apoorva Gajula and Ms. Divya Kawa, and Third Prize to Ms. Ojasvi Bansode.

The event not only highlighted the students’ creative potential but also reinforced the importance of preserving cultural values while embracing sustainable practices.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organised Guru Purnima Celebration on 10th July 2025, honouring the timeless Guru–Shishya tradition with great reverence and enthusiasm. The event was coordinated by the Cultural Committee and the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Committee.

A major highlight was a debate competition on the topic of 75% attendance being compulsory in colleges. Adding an innovative twist, students argued in favour, while faculty presented counterviews, sparking engaging dialogue and offering fresh perspectives on discipline and autonomy in academics.

This unique role reversal encouraged critical thinking, respectful discourse, and mutual learning, truly capturing the spirit of Guru Purnima.

On 26th June 2025, the MET solemnly commemorated the birth anniversary of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, the eminent social reformer and pioneer of educational equity. Faculty members, staff, and students gathered to honor the legacy of a leader whose visionary efforts reshaped access to education and uplifted marginalized communities.

The ceremony began with a floral tribute offered by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Principal, MET Institute of Computer Science, Dr. Abha Doshi, Principal, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), and Mr. Ashwin Rane, Registrar, Mumbai Educational Trust.

Dr. Soni emphasized the increasing significance of nutraceuticals in modern medicine, shedding light on regulatory considerations, therapeutic applications, and industry advancements.
