Hindi Diwas celebration

On the 14th of September, the Cultural Council of the MET Institute of Pharmacy hosted a poetry recitation competition to mark the auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas, celebrating the adoption of Hindi as an official language of India in 1949. Hindi Diwas also commemorates the birth anniversary of Beohar Rajendra Simha, a renowned Indian scholar and historian who played a vital role in this historic moment. The event underscored the significance of Hindi in fostering national unity, promoting Indian culture, and encouraging its use in education, literature, and governance. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff, with notable performances by Ms. Nidhi Mishra (Final Year), who secured first prize, and Ms. Sakshi Fulaware (Final Year), who won second prize. Mr. Vaishnav Pawar (TY) and Mr. Saee Thakur (TY) were recognized with consolation prizes. Each poem was filled with the essence of literature, reflecting the richness of the Hindi language and its role in the Indian knowledge system. Overall, the event had a significant impact on promoting Hindi\'s rich literary tradition and its importance in contemporary society.
Tree Plantation Drive at Ismail Yusuf College

On September 1st, 2024, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) students participated in a tree plantation drive by DLLE and the Green Club committee of MET Institute of Pharmacy in collaboration with Soch Sayani and Smiti Social Work Foundation at Ismail Yusuf College. The event saw the generous contribution of 150 saplings by the Rotary Club of Mumbai\'s west coast, which marked a key effort towards environmental conservation. Students and volunteers worked together to plant a variety of saplings aiming to improve the green cover and promote environmental awareness within the community. They also met some environmental activists who shared their journeys of caring for nature which inspired the students to take an active role in environmental stewardship.

Alumna Rinki Jain Shares Pharma Expertise

On 1st August 2024, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) hosted a guest lecture for second-year students featuring Ms. Rinki Jain, an esteemed alumna. Ms. Jain, with a D.Pharma from MET, a B.Pharma from NMIMS, an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in DRIP, and an LLB from Mumbai University, shared her extensive 11-year experience in Drug Regulatory Affairs and product development.
Her presentation offered a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape, emphasizing its significance, current trends, and career opportunities, along with practical advice on career advancement. Her talk was both enlightening and motivating, providing valuable insights into future careers. The event concluded with Dr. Suryakant Bhosle, Principal of IOP (Diploma), felicitating Ms. Rinki Jain for her valuable contributions.
MET IOP Alumni Meet 2024 - A Day of Memories and Bonds

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) recently hosted a special Alumni Meet on February 17, 2024, dedicated to the batch of 2019-2021. The event aimed to celebrate the cherished memories of the past and exchange valuable experiences with the current students.
A total of 39 alumni joined to reminisce, share experiences, and make new memories. The program commenced with a warm welcome from Alumnus Fatema, followed by speeches from esteemed faculty members and other alumni. The atmosphere was further lightened with entertaining games, concluding the day with delightful snacks for all attendees. The day was marked by laughter, joy, and the creation of lasting memories.
Soulful Celebrations: MET IOP\'s Journey into Marathi Language Brilliance

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) joyously celebrated \'Marathi Bhasha Rajsavardhan\' on January 27, 2024, as per the directives of MSBTE & the Marathi Language Department of the Government of Maharashtra. Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Suryakant Bhosale and Cultural In-charge Mrs. Dipali Khabale, the program witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers and staff.
Hosted by our talented students, Ms. Harvisha Satav and Mr. Vinayak Kamble, the event commenced with the soulful \'Hich Amuchi Prarthana\'. Ms. Harishita, Ms. Akshada, and Ms. Akanksha delivered insightful speeches in Marathi, delving into the history, significance, importance, and evolution of the Marathi language.
To add a touch of fun, various Marathi games were organized to promote and publicize the rich language. The program concluded with Ms. Harvisha echoing the empowering slogan, \'Labhale Amhas Bhagya Bolato Marathi\'.
An enriching experience for all students, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance and significance of the Marathi language. Let\'s continue to embrace and celebrate our linguistic heritage!
MET Institute of Pharmacy\'s Journey at Maharashtra Nature Park

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) took the First Year Diploma Pharmacy students on an enriching field visit to Maharashtra Nature Park in Sion on February 5th, 2024. Led by faculty members Mrs. Dipali Khabale and Mr. Santosh Bhure, 65 students immersed themselves in the wonders of this mini forest developed by MMRDA and an NGO.
The park boasts 14,000 trees, 300 plant varieties including medicinal herbs, a serene lake, and a haven for migrating birds, butterflies, and reptiles. Students delved into sections like the Butterfly Garden, Medicinal Plants Garden, and the Nakshatra Van, learning about diverse flora and the importance of rainwater harvesting.
The aim? To educate and instill appreciation for medicinal plants. It was a day filled with adventure, learning, and a deeper connection with nature.
Hydrogreen Club Awareness on Water Conservation

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma), under the guidance of Principal Dr. Suryakant Bhosale, organized a significant outreach initiative through its Hydrogreen Club to promote awareness about pressing environmental issues. On 23rd September 2024, second-year Diploma Pharmacy students, along with Faculty Coordinators Mrs. Dipali Khabale and Mrs. Abhilasha Sharma, visited the BMC School in Bandra to engage young minds in an enlightening session on water conservation and sustainability.
During the session, students discussed crucial topics such as global warming, reducing plastic use, the importance of rainwater harvesting, and tackling pollution. The event concluded with a cleanliness oath, where participants pledged to keep their surroundings clean and contribute to a sustainable future.
Blood Donation Drive 2024

On 13th August 2024, MET Institute of Pharmacy hosted a blood donation drive in collaboration with Tata Memorial Hospital. This impactful event aimed to address the ongoing need for blood donations and raise awareness about the same.
The drive was organized on the college campus, making it convenient for students and staff to participate. Preparations included setting up a well-equipped donation area, complete with comfortable reclining chairs, medical staff, and refreshments for donors. It was promoted through posters, social media and word of mouth, encouraging a high turnout. Each donor underwent a brief health check-up before the donation, ensuring their suitability for donating blood.
The drive demonstrated the collective effort of the college community and the hospital\'s commitment to saving lives. The event contributed valuable resources to the hospital\'s blood bank and educated participants about the life-saving power of blood donation.
ALUMNI MEET 2023

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organised an Alumni Meet for batch 2018-2020 on 1st
April 2023. The event began with the thoughtful words by Dr. S.D.Bhosale, Principal, IOP (Diploma). The purpose of this meet was to cherish the good old times and share valuable experiences with the juniors. The alumni were called to express their journey, experiences with the students and teachers. Miss Purva Chougule shared her experience about the importance of higher education. Mr. Hitesh vyas explained about the skills required to set up a business. Mr. Abhishek Yadav, Shreepad Patil and Sahil Gupta also shared their experiences.
Overall, it was a day filled with joy, laughter and wonderful memories.
Field visit to Maharashtra Nature Park

M.E.T. Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organised a Field visit to Maharashtra Nature Park at Dharavi for First year students on 31 st March 2023. Total 59 students along with faculty member Mrs. Dipali Khabale visited the Maharashtra Nature Park.
The purpose of the visit was to explain the importance of different medicinal plants.
The main trail began from the Education Centre Building and led to the nursery area covering all the educational sections available at the Nature Park. The middle trail started from the Butterfly Garden and covered the Nakshatra Van or the Astral Garden, and Rainwater Harvesting Pond. The Astral Garden in the park has trees that correspond with the 27 Rashis or Zodiac Signs and 27 Nakshatras or Constellations.
Overall, it was a day filled with lots of valuable information, fun and adventure.
