Hindi Diwas celebration

On the 14th of September, the Cultural Council of the MET Institute of Pharmacy hosted a poetry recitation competition to mark the auspicious occasion of Hindi Diwas, celebrating the adoption of Hindi as an official language of India in 1949. Hindi Diwas also commemorates the birth anniversary of Beohar Rajendra Simha, a renowned Indian scholar and historian who played a vital role in this historic moment. The event underscored the significance of Hindi in fostering national unity, promoting Indian culture, and encouraging its use in education, literature, and governance. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff, with notable performances by Ms. Nidhi Mishra (Final Year), who secured first prize, and Ms. Sakshi Fulaware (Final Year), who won second prize. Mr. Vaishnav Pawar (TY) and Mr. Saee Thakur (TY) were recognized with consolation prizes. Each poem was filled with the essence of literature, reflecting the richness of the Hindi language and its role in the Indian knowledge system. Overall, the event had a significant impact on promoting Hindi\'s rich literary tradition and its importance in contemporary society.
