In conversation with the Actor Jitin Gulati

On 17th February 2023, Students of ADMM had a candid interaction with Bollywood Actor Jitin Gulati at the MET Institute of Mass Media.
During the interaction, Mr. Jitin spoke to the students about his career as an actor, how his projects came to him the hard way and how patience was the only virtue he possessed. Since childhood he was interested in acting yet he pursued the Banking profession for 9 years before entering into Acting.
As a result, the aspiring media students understood the approach one should take towards their profession, as well as received guidance on how to get into a profession for the right reasons. Overall, it was a very informative and insightful conversation with a well-versed actor.
Ad Film Workshop by Sanjay Shetty

On 14th February 2023, MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed Mr. Sanjay Shetty, Founder and Director, Opticus INC. to conduct a Workshop on AD Film Making. With over two decades of experience in AD Film Direction Mr. Shetty’s work has won awards such as Promax-Asia Advertising Awards & Goa Abbey Awards. His Marathi Feature film ‘Uttarayan’ won the National Film Award in the year 2005.
During the workshop, Mr. Shetty touched upon crucial aspects of AD Films such as Concept Ideation, Characters, Shooting Budget and Shoot Locations that go behind creating an Ad. The budding media professionals got a chance to have an insightful Q&A session on Mr. Shetty’s professional work.

As part of the Event Management assignment, the ADMM students were given different event premise briefs such as Carnival, Milestone, Product Launch, Sports, Entertainment and the like along with brands. Using the brief, the students had to develop a 360-degree pitch deck with a physical event model.
Students had an insightful learning experience during the coursework.
Instagram Reels Workshop with Shantanu Rangnekar

MET Institute of Mass Media invited its former student Mr. Shantanu Rangnekar who is a well known National Award Winner and Actor to conduct a workshop on ‘Instagram Reels’ for the students.
During the session, Shantanu shared his nostalgic memories as a student of MET IMM. He shared numerous tips & advice to create content in the form of short video reels and edit them with the help of editing mobile apps. With the help of classroom assignments, media students at MET learnt a practical approach to creating Instagram reels.
MET Housefull - Exclusive Movie Screening

MET Housefull, an Initiative of MET Institute of Mass Media, aims to encourage media students to watch critical content and understand various perspectives of the audio-visual medium of storytelling.
On 18th Nov 2022 MET Institute of Mass Media organised an exclusive movie screening of the National Award Winning Marathi Film ‘Funral’. During the screening the Writer & Producer, Mr. Ramesh Dighe & Director Mr. Vivek Dubey were present.
The film story was about the human approach to life\'s biggest reality, \'Death\'. The filmmakers discussed the making of the film, its ideation to execution, the essence of certain touching scenes and how the characters were sketched basis the need of the story. The filmmakers addressed the queries of the students with respect to the process of film making and media as a profession.

IMM M18 Batch Inagural Ceremony

MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed the ADMM batch 18 with a grand Inaugural Ceremony. Ms. Suchitra Pillai, (Actress. Singer. Host. Model) was the Chief Guest and Mr. Chandan Agarwal, Global CMI Director, Unilever was the Guest of Honor.
MET Trustee, Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal welcomed the students followed by insightful conversations from Suchitra Pillai and Chandan Agarwal. Chandan Agarwal shared how being \"Humbitous\" (Humble + Ambitious) was the need of the hour to map the road to success while Suchitra Pillai shared her journey and explained how \"Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans\".

News Verification Workshop

MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed Ms. Poornima Suryawanshi, Trainer, Google News Initiative to conduct a Fake News Verification Workshop for the ADMM students.
Verifying information before blindly believing or using it is a must in today\'s age. It is of utmost importance not to include ourselves in the rumor-spreading league and to restrict the spread of incorrect information. The workshop covered tools and activities to understand and identify fake news and its crust.
The session benefited the ADMM students through the essence of correct communication.
Climb Up Higher

Mr. Harsh Doshi, an alumnus of MET Institute of Mass Media (M-15 batch) has made it to the highest base camp on Mount Everest. This is his dream come true, demonstrating that \'Never Give Up\' attitude ultimately leads to success.
Entire MET, Mumbai congratulates Mr. Doshi on accomplishing this awesome feat of victoriously completing Mount Everest Base Camp Trek, reaching an altitude of 5364 meters or 17,589 ft.
Happy moment with Adapt NGO children, Mumbai

MET Institute of Mass Media organised activity with the underprivileged and physically challenged children of Adapt NGO, Bandra, Mumbai.
The student Initiative Committee of the MET Institute Mass Media planned and arranged for an hour of activity including painting, music, and a few fun games for children from the NGO aged between 4 to 10 years.
The purpose of this activity was to sensitize the MET Media students towards real life and build up their human skills. The little angels from the NGO spent their happy moments with the institute and were more than glad to come again.

Observational Learning of TVC shoot

The students of MET Institute of Mass Media pursuing ADMM - Entertainment got an opportunity to witness the TVC shoot of Cadbury Dairy Milk.
The conceptualisation of TVC was done by Ogilvy, an Advertising & PR agency. The students got a first hand understanding with respect to the process of TVC shoot. It was a fabulous opportunity for students to learn through observations and interactions with the shooting crew.

MET celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti, the 190th birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee – MET, MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, and staff. A social reformer and revolutionary who still inspires millions, Savitribai Phule was a crusader for women empowerment as she broke all stereotypes and spent her life promoting the noble cause of women’s education.
