As a step towards ‘Industry Academia Consultancy Partnership’ and to facilitate hands-on solution based learning for future dynamic leaders, students at MET Institute of Management got the opportunity to present a Marketing Development Plan to Cello World’s top management Mr. Gaurav Rathod, Managing Director, Mr. Snehanjan Chakrabarty, President Sales, Mr. Sudhakar Pawar, Business Head.
The team presented the Marketing Development Plan crafted for futuristic execution. The interaction resulted in understanding and developing marketing tactics to penetrate in tier 4 market.

Alumni Interaction Day

MET Institute of Management organized a virtual Alumni Interaction Day for the students of the MMS 2021 Batch on 15th January 2022. The aim of the session was to facilitate an engagement between the newly inducted students and alumni to give a peek into the corporate world.
MET Institute of Management alumni mentored MMS 2021 batch students during the ‘Alumni Interaction Day’. They discussed the corporate culture, various technologies used in Industry, differences in working in the offline and online mode and many more relevant topics. They also guided students about how to prepare themselves in two years of academic time while being a METizen.
The One Day Virtual Interactive Session with Alumni on Prospective Academic & Professional Avenues was a good opportunity for the new students. The event was stimulating and profitable as all alumni speakers shared their views, ideas and insights.
The MET Institute of Management sincerely expressed its gratitude to the Alumni for their guidance and support to make this day a grand success. Encouraging an Entrepreneurial Mindset

To develop an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation, MET Institute of Management’s Institution\'s Innovation Council (MET IOM’s IIC) invited esteemed institute SNDT’s Interior Design Course final year students for a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Skills, Attitude and Behaviour Development’ on 17th December 2021 which was conducted in the hybrid mode. The outreach program was aimed to help, motivate and develop an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the young and dynamic students. The outreach program was graced by Ar. Meghana Phadke, HOD (Interior Design), P.V. Polytechnic, SNDTWU and Ar. Dilip Parmar, Principal Architect.
The event commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM and President, MET IOM\'s IIC. Dr. Lodha shared a short story on her journey as a women entrepreneur and inspired the students to follow their passion and aim higher.
The event was followed by a brief address from Ms. Kairavi Metha, Executive Director, V.K Industrial Corp Ltd. Ms. Mehta shared her nostalgic career journey in a male-dominated sector of steel. \"To be extraordinary you have to do things differently\", were her guiding words for the young enthusiastic crowd.
The event concluded with a workshop conducted by Dr. Manmeet Barve, Convenor, MET’s IIC on ‘Validating your Startup Idea’. Dr. Barve guided the students on the usage of the Business Model Canvas to help develop new business models and document the existing ones.
In this unique and interactive knowledge-sharing platform, students shared their own experiences and ideas of being an entrepreneur and sought guidance from the mentors present.
Cracking the Digital Transformation

Steve Jobs once said, “Innovation is the only way to winâ€. The Importance of his statement seems to be relevant more than ever before in the times of pandemic outbreak, when the businesses and lives were impacted and attempted to recuperate. Timely the IIC at the MET Institute of Management organized ‘Innovation Council 2021’ based on the theme ‘Cracking the Digital Transformation’. This mega Council in association with DCB Bank, SIMBOTT as VR/AR Partner, SDTP as an Innovation Partner, and AIC-RNTU supported by Atal Innovation Mission and Niti Ayog as an Outreach Partner was held in hybrid mode on 20th November 2021 featuring some of the most imminent and intriguing speakers.
This event by The MET Institute of Management’s Institution\'s Innovation Council (MET IOM’s IIC) was inaugurated at the hands of MET Trustee, Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal and Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal in the presence of Dr. Swati Lodha, Director - MET Institute of Management, invited dignitaries, guests and stalwart speakers. Many faculty members, students from various institutions of repute joined from various locations to make the forum grand. The conclave began with Mr. Ronald Fernandez, CEO, AIC-RTNU. He disseminated information about the Atal Incubation Centre, Rabindranath Tagore University. Attendees were enlightened about the intersection of innovation, people, processes, technology, and ecosystem.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Prasanna Lohar, VP Technology (Digital, Innovation & Architecture) DCB Bank, shared his thoughts on the amalgamation of fintech and innovation, especially in the banking sector. He addressed the audience on the importance of having the right partners to make innovation sustainable.
Mr. Varun Khatri, Founder and CEO - SIMBOTT introduced the audience to an unexplored world of digital welding. He gave a live demonstration with the VR machine where participants too got a chance to try their hands at digital welding. And the Expert Speaker, Mr. Shantanoo Joshi, Director (Consulting) - CGI gave the final thoughts to ponder over. He addressed the audience on ‘how to be ready for the future’. He shared a beautiful diffusion of innovation and organisational needs emphasizing the need to create a unique future.
The \'Innovation Conclave\' also gave students a hands-on experience with Design Thinking and UI/UX through engaging workshops. Workshop on Design Thinking was conducted by Mr. Jimmy Jain, Founder of Sequel & SDTP, UK and the UI/UX Workshop was conducted by Mr. Tushar More, UI/UX Expert, he trained the students on the topic of \'Wireless to Prototype\'.
It was indeed a very successful and insightful forum that imparted valuable insights to budding MBAs whereas seasoned professionals benefitted from the knowledge exchange.

Mr. Himanshu Joshi, Founder of the world’s first iconic insurance theme based 5-star Advisor Learning Resort at Statue of Unity and a man with a rich experience of more than 60,000 hours of Counselling and Training addressed online, the First Year MMS students on 12th June, 2021.
He spoke about creating a Purpose in life, an individual identity differentiating from the crowd and benchmarking oneself. He discussed how to deal with pressures of Attitudes and Thinking big. The session was attended by 150 people interactively and inspiringly.

Helping Create Stress Free Lives

Communication and Soft Skills expert from MET Schools of Management, Dr. Preeti Shirodkar conducted a workshop bearing the title Stress or Eustress: The Choice is Yours, for the pan India Heads of manufacturing units of Raymond Ltd. Dr. Shirodkar not only highlighted the importance of being stress free, but also illustrated her points through examples, tips and practical exercises, which managers could practice in their day-to-day functioning. The workshop received accolades not only from the participants, but was also commended by the CEO, Mr. Sanjay Behl, who took time out from his schedule, to participate in it and engage with his colleagues.
International Yoga Day

MET Institute of Management celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2019. Acharya Sharda Bubna along with yoga trainers Ms. Trupti Vaidya and Ms. Sangeeta Khana conducted the yoga workshop at MET Convention Centre. The program was well attended by directors, faculty, staff and students of MET. Young students of MET Rishikul Vidyalaya, the Cambridge School, also attended the program.
Effective Negotiation Skills

An insightful workshop on ‘Effective Negotiation Skills’ was conducted by Dr. Farida Virani on 2nd April 2019. The objective of the workshop was to equip management students with a systematic framework for understanding principled negotiations, learn how to expand the pie by creating options and value in negotiations. Key concepts such as BATNA (Best Alternative to the Negotiated Agreement), ZOPA (Zone of Potential Agreement) and Anchoring during negotiations were discussed with examples. Movie clips with analysis of the various concepts made learning fun and refreshing.
Gender Sensitization & PoSH Workshop

Dr. Farida Virani conducted a Gender Sensitization and Prevention of Sexual Harassment workshop at the Bombay College of Pharmacy, Mumbai. Over 200 students and members of staff attended the workshop. She covered the basic understanding of small sexual offenses which was essential for young generation. She smoothly differentiated between what is permissible and what is an indicator of sexual harassment through verbal communication as well as with the help of audio-visual aids. She slipped into the intricate details of PoSH Act 2013 and sensitized the crowd on how to prevent and prohibit sexual harassment to any gender and promote gender equality. Training was summed up by projecting light on the matters of respecting women and how it plays a critical role in building up a nation at large.
Anthony Robbin’s Youth Leadership Scholarships

Dr. Farida Virani has been an important member of the panel since the inception of this scholarship programme in India. She has been instrumental in put together an unbiased merit based selection process for this fully paid scholarship to San Diego USA. Focused on empowering tomorrow’s leaders, the Anthony Robbins Foundation provides resources, programs and events that encourage leadership, creating an opportunity for younger generations to make a difference in their communities, The GYLS format includes small group discussions, hands-on service learning experiences, leadership simulation games and exercises designed to enable Summit participants to identify their own core leadership strengths.

Dr. Farida Virani was invited to conduct two workshops (juniors & seniors) for Post Graduate students in Media and Communication at Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies (DGMC) – MUMBAI. The workshop conducted by Dr. Farida Virani was aimed at helping students develop robust relationships, solve problems using both logic and feelings, maintain an optimistic and positive outlook, and cultivate flexibility in stressful situations, help others express their needs, respond to difficult people and situations with a thoughtful calm and respond to change with grace and optimism. The interactive workshop consists of many activities , discussions and audio video and was appreciated by students.
