MET IOM’s IIC invited Ms. Dahlia Neumann, Deputy Consul General of Israel & Mr. Sagi Itcher, Head of Economy & Trade Mission, and Consulate General of Israel in Mumbai to interact with MMS Students 2022-24 batch on 27th March, 2023.

The dignitaries were invited to introduce students to international opportunities available in Israel as well as help students understand and appreciate Israel\'s diversity and inclusivity. The dignitaries also informed students about opportunities for faculty exchange, student exchange, student internship and collaborative research. This student interaction has paved the way for the Institute to develop a collaborative international connection with Israel.

Ms. Kajal Rane and Ms. Akansha Bhawar, Student, MMS Batch 2022-24 represented MET Institute of Management at Maadhyam 2023, the National Level B-School Paper Presentation Competition Organised by N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management and Research on 28th January 2023. Out of 200 research papers submitted, MET IOM students\' research paper was selected among the top 5 to be presented in front of the panel. The Students secured 1st position in the competition and received a cash prize of Rs. 30,000.

The Students investigated the novel concept of metaverse acceptance among Gen Z through the lenses of perceived ease of use and usefulness in their paper titled, ‘An analysis of Technology Acceptance Model on the use of metaverse marketing’ under the guidance of Dr. Sagar Gaikwad, Assistant Professor, MET IOM.

MET Institute of Management is delighted to announce that MET IOM’ IIC has secured 3.5 starts for the calendar year 2021-22 for undertaking activities prescribed by Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India to promote Innovation and Start-up in the campus. As per the performance report, the total score of MET IOM’s IIC is 72.3 out of 100 and the total rewards are 4.95.

Since its inauguration MET IOM’s IIC has not only completed the activities but also inculcated a culture of Innovation & Entrepreneurship among students.

MET Institute of Management organised the Alumni Meet for its MMS students on Saturday, 17th December 2022 around the theme Reconnect, Relive and Rejoice! The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director - MET IOM, dignitaries, faculty members and students. The highlight of the event was ‘MET IOM Alumni Excellence Awards’ bestowed upon alumni for their exemplary and outstanding contributions to the industry. Winners were quite nostalgic and excited at the same time while receiving the awards and expressed their immense gratitude to MET for helping them shape their career paths. The MET IOM Alumni meet also featured an awesome entertainment show featuring Mr. Vinay Mandke, a noted playback singer who entertained the audience not only with famous jingles sung by him but also with songs from the golden era. The current batch of MMS students also showcased their talent through solo singing and Rubik’s Cube-solving tricks. Indeed was an evening full of celebration of achievements, cherishing nostalgic memories and pure entertainment!

MET Institute of Management Presented the SMX Entrepreneurship Summit & Awards 2022 on Implementing Business Strategies for Entrepreneurial Growth & Success on 5th November 2022.
This grand physical event brought top business leaders together who took a deep dive into today’s business environment and shared insights on how entrepreneurs can have a long term sustainable success through the right investments with funding & marketing strategies.
The event was inaugurated by traditional lamp lighting at the hands of the dignitaries in the presence of Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management. It was followed by the amazingly insightful sessions by eminent speakers such as Mr. Rahul Jain, MD, InnoServ Group, Mr. Ramachandran Gopalkrishnan, Chairman, InnoServ Group, Mr. Santosh Nair, Founder Chairman and Chief Mentor, Smmart Training & Consultancy Pvt Ltd, Mr. Nitin Shah, Chairman cum Managing Director, Allied Digital Services Limited. Each of them shared the Implementation of Business Strategies Growth & Success with their entrepreneurial experiences.
At ‘My Story Session by Successful Innovators and Entrepreneurs’ the eminent speakers such as Mr. Tarun Katial, Founder & CEO, Eve World also an Alumni of MET Institute of Management, Ms. Swetapadma Mohanty, Co-Founder & CEO, Business Leadership League, Mr. Rahul Lahane, Founder & CEO, Chistats, Mr. Akshay Sarode, Founder President, Entrepreneurs Parliament, Ms. Archanna Das, CEO, ASCENT Foundation and Ms. Paula McGlynn, CEO - BhaDiPa, shared their entrepreneurial journey to motivate the budding entrepreneurs.

To celebrate the trailblazers in Entrepreneurship, awards were announced in the categories such as Outstanding Entrepreneurs of the Year, Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Enabler Awards, Emerging Entrepreneurs of the Year, Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year - AI & Logistics, Startup Ecosystem Enabler Award.

MET Institute of Management invited Mr. Cherojit Goswami, Senior Vice President, Ogilvy and Ms. Mithu Goswami, Senior Consultant, Fractal to conduct a Corporate Readiness Program on 17th September 2022 for the students.
Ms. Mithu spoke with the students about the nuances of business analytics. She informed students about the skill sets required to become successful data analyst in various domains.
Mr. Cherojit spoke to students about the eight values required to advance in marketing and advertising. He explained to students the processes and insights involved in creating advertisements. He advised students practical tips to succeed in their professional lives.

MET Institute of Management and International Council of Circular Economy (ICCE) signed an MoU on 25th August 2022. ICCE is a not-for-profit organisation and thought leader to help the Indian economy in transition from Linear to Circular by building regenerative and restorative systems.

The MoU was signed in presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM, Mr. Ravindra Dahiya, Co-Director, ICCE and Mr. Shalini Bhalla, Managing Director, ICCE.

The ICCE will be facilitating the first \'Circular Lab\' in Maharashtra at MET IOM. This Circular Lab would work as a Resource Centre for Research & Innovation, Capacity Building, Networking, Policy making and a shared knowledge platform.

With this new initiative, Mumbai Educational Trust takes another step towards innovation and sustainability.

MET Institute of Management presented the National Research Conference on ‘Holistic Value Creation through Sustainable Development’ and the Sustainability Hackathon on 30th April 2022. Mumbai Educational Trust (MET), with its campuses in Mumbai and Nashik has always moved in tune with time. Hence, this conference was organized to spread awareness and implement systemic solutions to increase biodiversity, reduce carbon footprints and explore new solutions for waste management and pollution control.

To be a thought-leader in the domain of sustainability, MET IOM’s IIC (Institution\'s Innovation Council) also inaugurated it’s first-ever, ‘The Sustainability Hackathon’. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee - MET in the presence of Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Director, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director - MET IOM and corporate experts on sustainability.

Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET in his opening speech highlighted that identifying the challenges and prevailing practices that can lead to sustainable production and consumption is the need of the hour.

Hon\'ble Aaditya Thackeray, Minister of Environment, Tourism and Protocol, Govt. of Maharashtra was the Chief Guest at this National Research Conference and Sustainability Hackathon Award Ceremony. Mr. Thackeray has been championing sustainability and climate resilience initiatives right from adding the concerns and actions for environment in the syllabus of schools to the launching of new electric vehicle policy. While addressing the audience, Mr. Thackeray emphasized on the importance of technology and data driven solutions to help combat climate change and move towards more sustainable cities and the planet as a whole. He urged students to be the forerunner of climate change initiatives with their novel and bolder ideas. Mr. Thackeray wishes to create a bridge between technology and the young minds to provide a solution to environmental problems. He also awarded the winners at the National Research Conference and the Sustainability Hackathon along with the Best PhD Thesis Award, recognizing and inspiring future generations to march towards the path of sustainability.

MET Institute of Management has achieved another milestone in its glorious journey having been ranked 28th Best B-School All India and 15th amongst Top West B-Schools.

The ranking survey conducted by the Times B-School 2022 also recognised MET as India\'s 17th Best Pvt. B-School and 18th Best B-School for Placements.

The objective of this research by Optimal Media Solutions partnered with Avance Insights was to acknowledge the significant contributions of B-Schools towards achieving Education Excellence in India. MET’s focus on industry immersive management programmes along with a unique learning approach, state-of-the-art infrastructure, global exposure and industry experts as faculty has resulted in this stupendous success.

MET Institute of Management conducted the first hybrid ‘Alumni Meet’ on September 12, 2021. The meet was organized by the Alumni Committee in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director - MET IOM, faculty members, alumni and students. The event started with Dr. Swati Lodha, Director - MET IOM conveying the most valuable message to alumni that each and everyone should develop four specific mindsets of Abundance, Exponentiality, Moonshot and Longevity. Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET, welcomed all the alumni, MET family and current batch students for this first hybrid alumni meet. He appealed to all the alumni to be connected with Alma Mater and collaborate more to bring positive change in the society.

After the inaugural address, a video was played where all the faculty and staff welcomed the alumni for the meet. For the first time, ten different MET IOM Excellence Awards were given to alumni who have brought laurels to their Alma Mater. Few alumni joined offline to receive the award and rest joined online and offered their acceptance speech. Mr. Avinash Rogye (2015 -17) was awarded the ChangeMaker Award 2021, Mr. Amol Hiremath (2010 - 12) received the Excellence in Human Resources 2021, Ms. Joanne D\'souza (2007 - 09) and Mr. Deepak Buswal (2009 - 11) were given the Excellence in Marketing 2021 award. Mr. Uday Mundhe (2010 - 12), Mr. Rajendra Bhalerao (1997 - 99) won Excellence in Operations 2021 and Emerging Leader Award 2021 respectively. Excellence in Information Technology 2021 award was bestowed on Mr. Priyank Parab (2014 - 16), Global Leader Award 2021 by Mr. Kalpak Sarangdhar (2012 - 14) and Academic Achiever Award 2021 was given to Ms. Lavanya Gopalakrishnan (2011 - 13).

MET alumni Mr. Akshay Karnik along with his musician colleagues made the evening mesmerising and soulful with their singing performance. Mr. Sunil Pal, the noted stand up comic put up a mind blowing performance which made the evening more delightful. The alumni meet concluded with a vote of thanks. The meet was an event full of nostalgia as the alumni fondly remembered and shared their college days. Everyone appreciated the efforts by MET IOM in organizing the meet.

The launch of the first ever innovative learning initiative MET INSIGHTS was hosted by MET Institute of Management on the occasion of 15th August, 2021, the Indian Independence Day. The launch was held in a hybrid mode; which was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET, Directors, HoDs and Principals of MET Institutes.

The inaugural session began with the welcome address of Dr. Swati Lodha, Director – MET IOM and the initiator of MET INSIGHTS followed by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET; officially launching the learning platform for our students and staff. They highlighted the main purpose of MET INSIGHTS initiative; to use this platform to engage with the students and to impart wisdom and knowledge. The idea of MET INSIGHTS is cultured from the identified gap in communication and connection owing to the pandemic.

MET IOM faculty Dr. Farida Virani and Ms. Sana Khan helped in conceptualising and designing, which will be an on-going process as they assimilated the contributions by all the Management faculties, students and alumni. MET will be a lifelong learning partner by continuously connecting with the students even after they move on to their corporate life.

The special guest and keynote speaker Mr. Amrut Deshmukh, CA, Founder - The Booklet App, TEDx Speaker & Social entrepreneur shared an enthralling story of how he started the Booklet journey and created the mission of ‘Make India Read’. He emphasised through his book ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective Readers’ on how people can learn by reading or listening to audio. He stressed to Make Reading Casual so that it becomes part of our habit.

MET INSIGHTS is an informative initiative that will benefit all students and alumni to become well-informed and prudent professionals.
