On the occasion of World Book Day, MET faculty and staff embraced the calm and focus of the library 23rd April 2025, exploring new titles, revisiting classics, preparing for lectures, and engaging in quiet reflection.

MET Institute of PGDM, in collaboration with Startupholic Catalyst and Enqube Collaborations, successfully organized ‘Startup Conclave 2025’ on 1st March 2025 —a dynamic platform that brought together visionary entrepreneurs, industry experts, and aspiring startup enthusiasts.

The event commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing wisdom and new beginnings, in the esteemed presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, CA. Dr. Das Shyamsundar, Director, MET PGDM, distinguished guests, faculty members, and students. The inaugural session featured the felicitation of the Guest of Honour, Mr. Nirav Mehta, Founder, Leap Venture Group, followed by an engaging keynote address on the future of startups.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, led by our esteemed Director, Dr. Das, marking the official inauguration of this insightful conclave. We were honored to felicitate our Guest of Honour, Dr. Narendra Mairpandey, along with distinguished panelists from reputed organizations.

MET CET commenced its enriching five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) with the ceremonial lamp lighting led by Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative. The initiative brought together expert speakers and faculty members for a series of impactful sessions focused on progressive teaching methodologies.

Day 1 featured Dr. Chitra Wadke who led a session on Flipped Classroom, introducing student-centric methods to promote active participation and engagement in the learning process.

Day 2 was conducted by Ms. Armaity Kelawalla, who delivered an insightful session on Facilitating Neuro-Inclusive Education through Sensitization and Mentoring. A professional social worker, special educator, arts-based therapist, soft skills trainer, and life coach, she currently serves as a Fieldwork Supervisor at TISS, Mumbai.

Day 3 featured Ms. Sulakshana Rathod who conducted a session on implementing cooperative learning strategies. As Senior Manager at Emeritus, she designs and delivers learning journeys for mid to senior-level professionals across corporate and government sectors, focusing on leadership and transformation.

The ongoing FDP reflects MET\'s commitment to fostering academic excellence and equipping educators with future-ready teaching tools.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 76th Indian Republic Day with a grand event that highlighted the spirit of patriotism and unity. The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the Tricolor by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, and esteemed Heads of Institutes and Departments.

The vibrant festivities featured captivating performances by MET and MRV students and staff, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. The day was marked by patriotic speeches, melodious songs, and mesmerizing dance performances, creating an atmosphere of pride and joy.

On December 19, 2024, our PGDM Data Analytics students had an enriching experience at IIT Bombay Techfest 2024 (Day 3) under the guidance of Professor Chintan Udeshi. The day was packed with excitement and learning, starting with the adrenaline-pumping Robowar Competition, where innovation and technological brilliance were on full display. Students explored groundbreaking advancements in drone technologies and delved into intriguing machine learning and deep learning projects, gaining valuable insights into the future of AI and data science.

The visit culminated in a mesmerizing evening drone show that left everyone in awe of the endless possibilities technology holds. This field visit bridged the gap between classroom theories and practical applications, offering our students an inspiring glimpse into the ever-evolving world of technology and innovation.

PGDM Students of MET Institute of PGDM had the opportunity to attend the International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) 2024, hosted by the UN Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) on December 9, 2024, at the IMC, Mumbai. With the theme “Empowering Change through Integrity: Cross-Sector Collaboration Against Corruption,” the event brought together leaders from business, government, and civil society to deliberate on fostering transparency and accountability. Inspiring keynotes by stalwarts like Dr. Pradnya Saravade (Rtd. IPS) and Ms. Sunita Sule (BASF India) emphasized the pivotal role of youth and leadership in creating a culture of integrity.

The event featured engaging technical discussions and leadership roundtables, where industry experts such as Mr. Suhas Tuljapulkar (Legasis Private Ltd.) and Mr. Narendra Salvi (Aarti Pharmalabs) shared their perspectives on ethics in healthcare, MSMEs, and public-private partnerships. Cultural dialogue sessions, including a fireside chat with eminent speakers like Mr. Sanjay Chordiya (Suryadatta Education Foundation), further explored the societal changes needed to combat corruption effectively.

The day concluded with a powerful Capstone Session featuring experts like Dr. Jayesh Lele (IMA) and Dr. Somnath Singh (UN GCNI), who discussed strategies for sustained cross-sector collaboration against corruption. This enriching experience inspired MET students to embrace the values of integrity and accountability, reinforcing their commitment to becoming future leaders dedicated to fostering positive change.

MET Institute of PGDM, under the initiative of the Alumni Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), hosted an engaging session on 27th November 2024 with Ms. Riddhi Doshi Vora, Co-founder of Innovate Digital Media.

Focused on Problem Solving and Ideation, the session encouraged students to develop a creative and curious mindset. Ms. Vora shared her mantra Think. Ideate. Solve. and emphasized the importance of following what excites us. Her words, “If you don’t know your passion yet, don’t worry. One reason for your existence is to discover it,” resonated deeply with the audience.
