International Women’s Day Celebrations

On 4th March 2023, on the occasion of ‘International Women\'s Day’, MET PGDM organised a series of activities, including Lathi Kathi (a martial art form), Combat Self-Defence, Tug of War and Box Cricket.
The event kicked off with a demonstration of Lathi Kathi by Mr. Chirag Jadhav, an expert in this ancient Indian martial art weapon that is still used today in sports, drills and parades. The lathi is also a symbol of power.
Next, the students participated in Combat Self-Defence, which not only improves individual fitness, confidence and mental strength but also instils the Warrior Ethos mentality and a never-quit attitude.
The third activity was Tug of War, which trained students on the importance of effective teamwork and mental endurance while also improving their leg strength.
Finally, the students played Box Cricket, which emphasised the importance of team building and teamwork.
Overall, the event was a great success, boosting the physical strength and confidence of the women at MET PGDM.
Aarohan Event 2023

On 19th July, 2023, the MET Post Graduation Diploma and Management organized the Aarohan Event. During this event, Mr. Raste, MD & CEO of NCDEX, shared invaluable life mantras with the students on how to achieve excellence in this fiercely competitive world -insights not typically found in textbooks. Additionally, Mr. Beriwal, Manager & Analyst in Derivatives, Equity Research-MOSL, provided valuable guidance on how students should concentrate their efforts and build their careers in the coming two years. Drawing from his own college experiences, he further emphasized the significance of networking with fellow students as a crucial aspect of personal and professional growth.
International Yoga Day 2023 Celebration

On 21st June 2023, a pleasant atmosphere filled the premises of the MET Institute of PGDM as people gathered to celebrate \'International Yoga Day\'. The institute organised a captivating \'Yoga Session\' in association with the well-known Art of Living. This event aimed to promote the significance of yoga in fostering physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
A trained instructor from the Art of Living led the participants through various yoga asanas and breathing techniques. The session emphasised the significance of aligning the body, mind and soul. Attendees were guided to find inner peace and balance amidst the chaos of daily life.
Through this celebration, members experienced the physical, mental and spiritual benefits and a step toward achieving inner balance, leading to a more fulfilling and enriching life.
Marketing & Business Development Personalised Mentoring

In collaboration with Fundenable, Mumbai, the IQAC and IIC of MET Institute of PGDM organised a special event called the \'One day Marketing & Business Development Personalised Mentoring Clinic\' on 26th April 2023. This session was exclusively arranged for selected startups from IIC PDEU, namely Cleaneo, Techinnovate Mobility Pvt. Ltd., Cibos Techno Solutions Pvt Ltd, Pharsights, Gamers Tag and Cargar, held at MET, Mumbai.
The personalised mentoring clinic primarily focused on three key areas, developing an ideal go-to-market strategy, reevaluating & modifying digital marketing strategies and implementing appropriate brand-building strategies. The mentors for this session were Mr. Deepaq Vartak, General Manager, Incubation Centre and Corporate Relations, MET and Dr. Suvrashis Sarkar, Associate Professor, MET Institute of PGDM.
Through one-on-one meetings with the mentors, the participating startups were able to redefine their go-to-market strategy, enhance their brand building and refine their digital marketing approach.
Marketing Mavericks: MET PGDM Quiz Competition 2023

The Marketing Club of MET Institute of PGDM organized a thrilling \'Marketing Quiz Competition\' on August 12, 2023, where knowledge and strategy converged to create an exhilarating event that pushed the boundaries of intellect. It wasn\'t just about winning; it was a journey of learning, growth, and relishing the spirit of healthy competition.
Thirteen dynamic teams showcased their marketing acumen in an energetic display during the Marketing Quiz Competition. The roster featured some of the brightest minds in the field, including Team Bhargavi Naik, Team Shrusti Thakkrey, Team Kashifa Shaikh, Team Pranjal Bamb, Team Kriya Mehta, Team Shruti Mehta, Team Vatsal Vora, Team Manali Patil, Team Stephin Paulson, Team Vidhi Patel, Team Baishali Suna, Team Harshad Aher, and Team Aditi Sarang.
The event culminated in a grand celebration of marketing prowess, where winners were felicitated by CA. Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Director, MET Institute of PGDM, and a distinguished panel including Dr. Suvrashis Sarkar, Dr. Nisha Tatkar, CA Seema Korgaonkar, Prof. Kiran Rodrigues, Prof. Hirendra Soni, and Prof. Anand Rajawat.

2nd Runner up in Case study competition

A national level case study competition was organised by the Vidyalankar Institute of Technology named VANGUARD for the first-year PGDM batch. Three students from MET PGDM (e-Business), batch 2022-24, Ms. Akshaya Nair, Mr. Vishal Raikar and Mr. Himanshu Singh participated and secured the 2nd runner-up position. The event saw participation from prestigious institutes like IIM Ahmedabad, JBIMS, K. J. Somaiya and SIES. PGDM students received cash prizes and certificates and learned valuable insights for scaling a business. The judges emphasized the need for a practical yet impactful strategy.
Strategic Marketing Conclave 2023

MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management organised a ‘Strategic Marketing Conclave’ based on the theme of \"Innovation in marketing and strategic marketing applications\" on 31st January 2023.
The guest speakers for the conclave were Mr. Sandesh Kirkire, Ex. CEO, Kotak Asset Management, Mr. Mahesh Chauhan, Director, Salt Brand Solutions, Ms. Nisha Singhania, Founder and CEO, Infectious Advertising, Mr. Yogesh Bhamare, State Director, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Mr. Sachin Rele, CEO, Autonic Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Dushyant Panchal, Co-founder, EdJust.
Dr. Das enlightened students about the 3 stages of marketing and how innovation is significant in marketing with an example of ‘Google Glass’.
The first speaker, Mr. Sandesh Kirkire shared his experience on how India has experienced digital transformation in the banking sector and what is a \"high-value check\" concept. Mr. Kirkire further shared his knowledge on his teaching subject in JBIMS like What are financial products, Why organisations are becoming customer centric, How an aggregator platform helps you become financially literate, What\'s a valuable company and What is a risk of opulence in the field of technology. He gave a motivational message to students saying, \"Make sure your job is safe and keep updating yourself along with current innovation trends\".
Mr. Yogesh Bhamare enlightened students about the significance of Khadi and how the Khadi industry has undergone innovation over time. Further, he described what\'s the implication of the name \"Khadi Bharat†& “Khadi India\", How the Khadi and village industries commission deals with Gram Udyog of India and How Khadi is contributing towards nature. He likewise shared his thoughts on how Lijjat Papad started their business by taking small loans from KVIC and how the Indian government is promoting Khadi.
Ms. Nisha Singhania enlightened the students on Why innovation is essential in a particular industry. She shared 3 case studies of UltraTech cement - How does a low involvement category like cement play a large role in the life of consumers, Holiday Inn Express - How does a value hotel chain engage with consumers even when they are not travelling and National Geographic - How does the world iconic photography brand get regular people to share their photos.
Mr. Sachin Rele started his speech with a small story on \"Earth Shootout Day\". He even explained why the glaciers are crucial to us, How Autonic was the first to introduce solar ATMs and What is power generation scenario in India.
Mr. Dushyant Panchal among the youngest EduTech leader shared an influential thought that the \"IIT & IIM tag matters when you want to achieve big in life\". He shared his experience from his college days, how he started his corporate journey with a salary of ?8 lacks at WhiteHat Junior, How sales help in boosting the corporate journey and how the EduTech industry is facing the problem of acquisition.
The conclave witnessed a panel discussion with the speakers which was moderated by Dr. Sarkar followed by an interactive Q&A session. The discussion ended with summarising all the speakers\' thoughts on a promising note.
Republic Day @ MET

Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India by hoisting the Tricolour by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, Heads of the Institutes and Departments.
MET resonated with patriotic zeal as MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students presented an instrumental performance, patriotic song renditions and speeches to honour the occasion by displaying the rich, traditional and cultural heritage and feeling proud to be a part of our nation. MMS students from the MET Institute of Management organised a Constitution Quiz for all the MET and MRV students & parents to boost their knowledge of the Constitution of India.
The event\'s highlight was the MET Awards - MET Bhushan, bestowed on dedicated MET employees for completing 15 years of passionate service, MET Gaurav, faculty and students were honoured for demonstrating excellence at international & domestic levels in Academic, Research & Sports and MET Ratna, facilitated to students for their achievement of being the academic toppers in their respective courses.
Mumbai Educational Trust and Delphic Council of Maharashtra Celebrate 28 Years of International Delphic Movement

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) partnered with the International Delphic council and Delphic
Council of Maharashtra formed the Delphic Art Wall at its campus in Bandra on 15 December
2022. It even marked the celebration of 28 years of the International Delphic Movement.
Thousands of students from MET Institutes and MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV) participated in
the Delphic Art Wall. It was a Unity Project and a global attempt to make a record for the
longest Art Wall, running 11 kilometres by 2025. On this occasion MET, a more than 30 years
old recognized educational league, also announced Delphic Clubs for School and College
Students that will further strengthen their contribution towards the cultural cause. The Delphic
Games even referred to the Twin Sisters of the Olympic Games. Delphic is to arts and culture
equivalent to what the Olympics is to physical sports. The Delphic Games in modern bits are
hosted and driven by the International Delphic Council based in Berlin.
The Delphic Movement promotes harmony in the community via artistic engagement to boost
Art and Culture. The Live Art Wall Canvas Painting of 70 Meters by MET and MET Rishikul
Vidyalaya\'s students portrayed the art and culture of Maharashtra around the theme of
\'Water\'. The paintings made at MET have further ties with various states and countries to
develop an 11 kilometers long Art Wall at the time of the Delphic Games in an attempt to make
an entry in Guinness Book of World Records.
The event was inaugurated with a live painting by the world renowned calligraphy artist from
Maharashtra Mr. Achyut Palav and Artist Mr. Nilesh Mohite in the presence of Mr. Pankaj
Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET
and Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General, International Delphic Council. Ms. Soumni Paul,
Vice President, Hungama Music, Core Members of Delphic Council Maharashtra, Mr. Suresh
Thomas, President, Maharashtra Delphic Council, Ms. Anuja Sahai, Mr. Abhijeet Bhujbal, Mr. Ali
Akbar Rizvi, Ms. Sejal Gala, Ms. Dipti Shah, and Mr. Susheel Mistry also graced the inaugural
ceremony.
The carnival witnessed diverse kinds of Folk and Tribal dances like Tarpa Dance, Dhol Dance,
and Nandi Dance performances expressing the Arts and Culture of Maharashtra by students of
MET and MRV. This International Delphic Movement even featured a Fashion Show portraying
outfits that showcase Maharashtra\'s culture in sync with the Delphic Art wall live paintings by
MET\'s students.
Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee MET expressed his delight on the Delphic as an idea
attempting to unite the world via Arts & Culture. He said, \"MET as an institution that offers programmes and courses is based on the premise of values rooted in our Culture and therefore
Arts that express our Cultures. We find the Delphic Movement a valuable resource to give our
students the global platforms they deserve.\"
Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General of the International Delphic Council, a Cultural
Entrepreneur, and the founder of the Art School, expressed, \"I\'d love to tell you that the
foundation of the Mumbai Education Trust (MET) is about bringing a cultural value system into
children who study with you. The International Delphic Council completely subscribes to that
statement since we are based on the idea of the Delphic spirit.\" He also added, \"When we are
talking about a school year is what a wonderful gathering - we are talking about the very core
values that we require to be able to grow as human beings. One of the core values is love which
is about the spiritual balance between you and the universe & the rest of you; that is why we go
to schools & have these Cultural Value Systems with us.\"
In general, the Delphic Art Movement at MET and MRV gives students an opportunity to unveil
and symbolize Maharashtra\'s rich Art and Culture. The Delphic Clubs at MRV School and MET
Institutes will continue to serve as a platform to encourage Arts and Cultural exhibits amongst
the learner community.
MET Combat: A Debate Competition

MET Institute of PGDM Institution’s Innovation Council organised MET Combat - A Debate Competition on the occasion of National Youth Day on 12th January 2023. Participating teams consisting of four Students each from first-year PGDM who debated on the topic ‘India: The Innovation Hub in Asia-Pacific’ which was judged by CA. Seema Korgaonkar and Mr. Amey Palwankar, Faculty, MET PGDM.
The participants showcased effective oratory skills coupled with critical thinking about the primary issue given in the topic. The competition encouraged problem solving, research, public speaking and confidence.
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SUMMIT 2022

MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management organized, ‘A Supply Chain Management Summit’ under the aegis of \'MET Aapurti Niti\'. The Summit was held on 10th December 2022.
The theme of the event was \'Amritkaal: Opportunities and Challenges in India and its Impact on Supply Chain Management\' to deliberate on the opportunities and challenges that lie in the Indian and Global business market and how SCM has its impact on the business landscape.
The Summit began with the lighting of the lamp, which was followed by felicitating the esteemed guests, their captivating speeches and insightful panel discussions.
The Objective of the summit was to understand the most important concepts of Supply Chain Management, career opportunities, the role technology plays, and how it is important for industries of developing and developed economies.
The Summit featured two Panel Discussions that were moderated by Mr. Mangesh Pawar. The topic for the first panel discussion was regarding the upcoming trends in the SCM and in terms of e-commerce and the growing importance of Supply Chain Management in Indian business. The distinguished guest speakers for this panel were Pankaj Raut,VP - SCM, Boat, Hiren Naik, Sourcing Digital & Technology Manager, General Mills India, Achlesh Vashtist, International Courier Business, International Courier Business, Specialist, Rajeev Kumar, Senior Vice President - Operations Boston Ivy Healthcare India, MedikaBazaar, Manish Gahlaut COO, Boston Ivy, Healthcare India, MedikaBazaar.
The topic for the second panel was ‘Supply Chain Management in Early Ages and Today in Indian Business’. The distinguished guest speakers for this panel were Kiran Paranjpe, Senior Corporate Consultant in Operation and Distribution, Girish Bajpai, Ex-VP, Reliance Industries, SCM, Prashant Kashikar, MD, Mica Industries, Raj Devkar MD, Manish Fasteners & Vikram Industries.
Some important learnings from the summit were: Operations management and supply chain management, role of technology, how a CEO of the company needs to understand and should be an expert of analytics and Supply Chain System, brief about the term called Reverse Logistic, opportunities in Supply Chain Management, and detailed understanding of term \"Money saved is Money Warned\".
The Supply Change Management Summit concluded with rewarding conversations between the speakers, facilitator and the audience.
Overall, it was a great learning experience for the budding managers at MET.
