The MET Institute of PGDM proudly inaugurated Aarohan 2025, welcoming the students of PGDM 2025–27, on 10th July 2025, with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by CA Dr. Das Shyamsundar, Director, in the presence of faculty and distinguished guests.

MET PGDM and Vmentor.ai Yugma collaboratively orchestrated a Faculty Development Program on the Mentor-Mentee Framework on March 6, 2023. Esteemed industry experts, Dr. Srinivas and Meenu Bhatia, the founders of Yugma, took center stage during the FDP.

International Research Conference on AI and Its Applications
The MET Institute of PGDM, in collaboration with the Consortium for Global Education (USA), IJFMR, Pacific Link College (Canada), and Varna University of Management (Bulgaria), proudly organized the International Research Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications in Business and Society on Saturday, 30th November 2024. This landmark event brought together global thought leaders, researchers, and industry experts to explore AI\'s transformative potential in modern business and society.
The conference began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. CA Dr. Das Shyamsundar, Director of MET Institute of PGDM, inaugurated the event, accompanied by distinguished guests, faculty members, and an enthusiastic audience of students.
The day featured a stellar lineup of speakers and panelists who shared their expertise on AI\'s evolving role across various industries. Keynote Speaker Ms. Lekha Bajpai, Chief Technology Officer at Aspire For Her, delivered a compelling address, setting an inspiring tone for the discussions that followed. Other prominent speakers included Dr. Rajesh Devasia, an expert in Data Analytics and AI Consulting; Dr. Amiya Kumar Tripathy, Professor at Don Bosco Institute of Technology; and Dr. Aneish Kumar, former MD of The Bank of New York - India. MET PGDM Hosts International Research Conference 2024
MET Institute of PGDM recently hosted an International Research Conference on Management, Economics, and Social Sciences on March 15th, 2024. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and wisdom. Distinguished guests, including Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee of MET, and CA Dr. Das Shyamsundar, Director of PGDM, graced the occasion alongside esteemed panelists like Prof. Dr. Basanta Pradhan, Dr. Meera Shanker, Dr. Smita Shukla, Dr. Debmallaya Chatterjee, Dr. Rajiv Gatne, and Dr. Chetana Chavan.
The conference aimed to foster scholarly discourse and collaboration, with a focus on the importance of research in management. Panel discussions explored various themes, including the role of research in industry transformation, alignment with national education policies, current trends in research innovation, and the development of research and incubation centers. Emphasis was also placed on identifying real industry challenges, encouraging entrepreneurship and mentoring, adaptability in interdisciplinary research, and the application of research outcomes in industry settings. The discussions concluded with an interactive Q&A session, providing attendees with valuable insights and perspectives.
Following the panel discussions, attention turned to research paper presentations, a key highlight of the conference. Twelve teams presented their research findings across three venues, showcasing a diverse range of topics and insights. Winners were announced in both student and academic/researcher categories, with each recipient recognized for their scholarly rigor and innovative contributions.
In the student category, Vaishavi Zatakia, Deesha Sarawgi, and Risha Raka were crowned winners, followed by Nisha Dolas as the first runner-up, and Komal Bartwal & Shivani Bhatt as the second runner-up. In the academicians & researchers category, Jyotsna and Neelam claimed the top spot, with Nitesh Kumar Patel securing the first runner-up position.
Overall, the conference provided a platform for meaningful discussions, knowledge exchange, and recognition of outstanding scholarly work. It highlighted MET\'s commitment to promoting research excellence and fostering a culture of academic inquiry and innovation.

On 31st July 2023, The Finance Club of MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) organized a seminar on Investor awareness campaigns with NSE on the topic of Financial literacy and basics of securities market. Esteemed speaker, Mr. Jagdish Mane, Security Markets Trainer enlightened the students regarding the financial planning and further explained about the earnings, saving and investment strategies.

Guest Lecture on Innovative Career Opportunities in Financial Markets
The MET Institute of PGDM hosted a seminar on \"Innovative Career Opportunities in Financial Markets\" on August 4th. The distinguished speaker for the event was Mr. Vineet Gupta, AVP for Institutional Business for BFSI at Ticker Limited. The felicitation was done by CA Shyamsudar Das.
During the seminar, Mr. Vineet Gupta shared valuable insights on various aspects of the financial market, including the stock market, Forex, Fixed Income, Bond market, and Commodity market. He also discussed mutual fund schemes and broking firms. Moreover, Mr. Gupta highlighted the essential skills required to excel in the dynamic field of Financial Markets.
Additionally, the speaker showcased an interactive dashboard for stock analysis, providing a practical demonstration of market analysis techniques. Overall, the seminar proved to be highly informative and insightful for the attendees.

HR Symposium
MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management organised the \'HR Symposium\' on the theme of ‘Innovative Strategies For Humanizing Digitalization While Decoding The Future Of HR’ on 11th February 2023.
CA Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Deputy Director, MET PGDM welcomed all the esteemed panelists to the Symposium. Further, he enlightened students about the significance of HR in every organisation, how fast transitions are happening in the corporate world and the challenges faced by HR.
The Symposium commenced with a panel discussion that drove home the point that humanizing digitalization refers to the integration of technology with the human connection involving finding ways to make the use of technology more personalized, engaging and supportive of employees further ended with an interactive Q&A session.
During the Symposium the first speaker, Ms. Nirmala Venkateswaran, Executive Vice President, Head - HR, Howden India shared her experience of working during the COVID period. She likewise discussed how outsourcing helps in improving opportunities for employees and it also helps bring new strategies to improve the working environment. Further, she expressed the importance of human resources in every discipline recruitment is nothing but marketing.
Mr. Manmeet Singh, Senior Vice President - HR, Qyuki Digital Media started with the G Capital process happening in G Capital. The significance of the human element in every stage, onboarding the best tools to make effective changes in the working environment and Training Needs Identification needs analysis. Mr. Mangesh Shinde, Head - Talent Acquisition, Xanadu shared the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge and understanding various domains.
Mr. Mihir More, Assistant Vice President - HR, AK Capital Services talked about the emergence of technology, highlighting how tech is close to humans and how human interaction is more important and discussed the recent trends in the market.
Ms. Padmaja Singh Arya, Head - HR, NSE Cogencis, described that technology can not take away human interaction, it is helping the business to grow by taking it to a new horizon.
Lastly, Ms. Anchal Manik, Independent HR Consultant talked about how huge focus on data interpretation training on data. She further discussed augmentation that would change the future of HR and talked about the ease of networking with corporates and establishing a network through technology and tech-enabled platforms like LinkedIn.

Seminar on StockMIND - A Virtual Trading Platform
MET Institute of PGDM organised a one-day seminar on ‘STOCKMIND – Virtual Trading Platform’ in collaboration with ICICI Direct on 25th February 2022.
The Guest Mr. Shubham Chourey, Marketing Manager, ICICI Securities Ltd. explained the importance of analysing stocks and making the right decisions while trading, the impact of equity on stock pricing, power of compounding through case studies.
MET PGDM students were enlightened about the virtual trading platform and got professional insights on how the investments need to be planned out in the best possible manner by an individual trader.

“Artha-Shakti†Annual Budget Seminar 2020
MET’s, Schools of Management hosted a talk on 11th February, 2020 by Mr. Chandrashekhar Tilak, Executive Vice President – NSDL on the subject “Artha-Shakti†Annual Budget Seminar 2020 at 3.00 pm in the Convention Centre for the Management students. In his sixty minutes talk, he presented the Transformation of Indian economy to Information Technology based services and salient features of 2020 Budget. He explained the audience which comprised of largely prospective managers, to look beyond the traditional careers and explore job opportunities in the ever expanding Age neutral, Gender neutral, Server neutral sectors which today contribute immensely to Indian GDP. National Conference on Indian Banking Dynamics
MET Institute of Management and Mumbai Management Academy & Research jointly organized a daylong National Conference on ‘Growth Dynamics of Indian Banking Industry’ on 15th January, 2019 at MET campus. The main objective of the conference was to discuss the changing banking scenario in India, its challenges along with their solutions and opportunities. Distinguished experts and dignitaries from Indian Banking Industry contributed to the conference. The conference was well attended by research scholars, top notch professionals from Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector (BFSI), faculty members and students of best B-schools in Mumbai.
The conference began with Dr. Vijay Page, Director General - MET Institute of Management giving an overview of the sessions, followed by a keynote address of Dr. S.K. Ravi, Chairman - Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) shared his insights on ‘Measures to promote Retail Investors in Stock Exchanges through Banking Network’ and Shri G. R. Chintala, Chief General Manger - Dept. Of Refinance - NABARD expressed his views on ‘Rural Economy and Institutional Support in Development’.
The panel two discussion experts were Ms. Harshala Chandorkar, COO - Trans Union CIBIL Limited, Dr. Keshab Nandy, Former DGM - Reserve Bank of India, Shri Mohan Tanksale, Former Chairman - Central Bank of India and Dr. J. N. Mishra, Former Deputy Managing Director - State Bank of India. Shri Madan Sabnavis, Chief Economist - CARE Rating Ltd. moderated the discussion. The panel addressed the questions on various topics including Retail Banking, Lending habits of customers and measures taken by banks, Corporate Banking in digital world and Role of PSU Banks in the digitized economy. The conference was very informative and educational on so many levels of banking sector.
