On 30th April 2024, we conducted a comprehensive Fire Drill Training session to equip our employees with the knowledge and skills needed to react swiftly and safely in the event of a fire emergency. MET Fest 2024 | A Showcase of Talent and Unity

MET Fest 2024 kicked off with grandeur and excitement as Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee of Mumbai Educational Trust, and Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, inaugurated the event amidst MET students, faculty, and staff. Over the course of three days, the festival showcased a diverse range of activities, including Creative Exhibitions, engaging Workshops, thrilling Competitions, a spectacular Talent Show, and an action-packed Sports Day.
The festival commenced with a Creative Exhibition displaying exceptional artworks by MET students, faculty, and staff. Workshops such as fashion photography, salad-making, and urban gardening provided hands-on learning experiences, promoting creativity, healthy living, and sustainability.
Day two witnessed innovative endeavors such as the Best out of Waste competition, where METizens showcased their creativity by transforming discarded materials into stunning creations. Additionally, participants challenged themselves at the Escape Room, testing their problem-solving skills and teamwork.
The highlight of MET Fest 2024 was the Talent Show, featuring mesmerizing performances ranging from classical dance invocations to sensational singing, showcasing the immense talent within the MET community.
The festival concluded on a high note with the inauguration of the Annual Sports Day, symbolizing unity, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence. As the torch was lit and flags unfurled, students and staff embraced the spirit of competition and camaraderie, making MET Fest 2024 a memorable celebration of creativity, talent, and athleticism.
Calligraphy Workshop by Mr. Sanjay Sakharkar

MET Institute of Mass Media organised a Calligraphy Workshop for the students of ADMM. The
workshop was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Sakharkar, Director, MET IMM.
Students were asked to imagine how they would use colours and paint strokes on chart paper as
part of the workshop. The young minds had a great time displaying their artistic abilities during the
session.
Workshop on ChatGPT and AI Tools

MET Institute of Mass Media Hosted a Workshop on \'ChatGPT and AI Tools\' for Media Postgraduate Students! Ms. Umama Tabassum Memon, Image Consultant & Personal Branding Coach took center stage as she kickstarted the event with a powerful message on the art of harnessing AI tools.
Students dived deep into the world of AI with hands-on experience, exploring an array of game-changing utility tools like Writer, Cleanup, Easy-Peasy, Future Tools, Mid Journey, and more.
This workshop was a vital stepping stone for our future media industry leaders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

This exercise transforms concepts into practical application, allowing students to explore the intricacies of photography, including \'Aperture, ISO, Depth of Field, Compositions, Types of Shots, and Angles.
Group Discussion Training with Ms. Debarati Roy

As part of the Campus to Corporate Series, MET Institute of Mass Media conducted an interactive training session on Group Discussions (GD) for the ADMM students. The Session was conducted by Ms. Debarati Roy, Founder, Image by Debarati.
The session began with understanding smart tricks to have an impactful GD which was followed by mock GD as classroom practice whereas the second half of the session was about public speaking. The students were asked to perform impromptu talks based on the word from the chit they draw. This helped students to stimulate the ability to think and articulate in the spur of the moment.
Each student was given individual feedback on their respective performance with a view to helping them go through the final placement selection process with flying colours. MET IMM is always a step ahead when it comes to training students not only for media hard skills but also for corporate life abilities and interview processes.
UX/UI Workshop with Divya Jeswani

As part of the Alumni Mentorship Series 2022 MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed ADMM Alumni M10 Batch Ms. Divya Jeswani, Customer Experience Researcher, Veritas Technologies for a \'Workshop on UX - UI\' for the ADMM Batch M17 and M18.
Products and services are all about strategy and research which form an integral part of User Experience. Ms. Divya took the students through the essence of user experience for a product or service and discussed how it works.

Creative Thinking Workshop

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) conducted a workshop on ‘Creative Thinking’ for its Institute staff. The MET Centre of Educational Technology (MET CET) department planned the same.
The workshop provided participants an opportunity to showcase their creativity and ideation which resulted in awesome artifacts. The activity was filled with enthusiasm and gave a boost to all the participants.
Communication of Clothes and Image Management

As part of the Campus to Corporate Program, the students of ADMM Batch 18 of MET Institute of Mass Media had a day long training session on essential corporate life skills conducted by Ms. Debarati Roy, Founder, Image by Debarati.
The first session was about ‘Communication of Clothes’. Ms. Roy discussed the sensitive element of professional attire and how it acts like a game changer to an individual\'s confidence and turns into work performance. The students got examples about the kind of dress code and accessories that should be worn in Interviews, on the job and at business meetings while mapping up to the dressing culture of the organisation they work in while maintaining full dignity.
The second session was focused on ‘Image Management\'. Students got a walkthrough of an important aspect of human personality and the role of Image Management at the workplace & even otherwise.
Stimulated Minds

MET Insitute of Mass Media conducted a workshop as a part of the Batch 18 Induction Programme on ‘ Stimulated Minds ’ to polish the lateral thinking skills in the young media aspirants.
The session was conducted by Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head - MET CET. Students were divided into groups and were given objects and movie names to craft a story, create prototypes and present the same in a stipulated time frame.
This experiential activity was an ice breaker for the students as they got to know each other which resulted in collaborative teamwork.
PoSH Awareness Training

MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed guest speaker Mrs. Amruta Patil, PoSH Trainer & Qualified External Member to conduct a training session on ‘PoSH Awareness’. The session covered crucial elements of the ACT and its key nut - bolts. It was an extremely necessary carryback for the students before stepping into the corporate world.
MET IMM recognises the criticals of the V.U.C.A world & emphasise on Holistic Development & Human Sensitisation as part of the educational frame.
IMM’s Application Oriented Training

Event Management is an integrated part of MET IMM’s ADMM program. The PG Mass Media students conducted METamorphosis, a real time media event as part of the Event Management subject. The ADMM students at MET Institute of Mass Media created and presented a 360 degree event plan which included budgets, f&b, security, venue, guest engagement and hospitality, resource and manpower utilization. This PG program project also included elements like ambience , event content & show flow, celebrity & sponsorship pitch decks and a physical layout of the event model. The PG Mass Media students were formed into teams and each team was given different event genres – MICE, Awards Show, Film Festival, Sports Events, Wedding Events, Milestone & Corporate Events amongst others. The project work witnessed MET Mass Media PG students display tremendous strategic thinking, planning skills and detailing abilities. The evaluation jury appreciated the projects done by the students. MET IMM’s training pedagogy is all about ‘Learning by Doing’.
