MET Connexions, MET Institute of Mass Media’s Alumni Reunion on 20th January 2024, was a heartwarming experience. The Alumni reconnected with batchmates, cherishing memories from their time at Mumbai Educational Trust (MET).
The evening was filled with energy, enthusiasm and shared nostalgia, creating a truly special atmosphere. Whether catching up with old friends or forging new connections, the event seamlessly blended nostalgia and camaraderie.

MET Synergy 2023 - An HR Meet & Panel Discussion

MET Institute of Mass Media organised MET Synergy 2023 - An HR MEET and Panel Discussion on 25th
November 2023. The event witnessed participation of around 25 organisations.
The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational
Trust. He announced the Board of Studies for the current academic year and shared his perspective on
the essence of Industry - Academia Hand holding to foster postgraduate student development.
The event’s Keynote Speaker, Mr. Vishal Thakur, Deputy Vice President HR, Tata Capital addressed the
postgraduate students, fellow HR colleagues and the audience on a consistent growth mindset approach
to promote progressive professional development. The event’s Guest of Honour, Ms. Amrita Shetty,
People Director and Regional People Partner (India and Australia), Jellyfish, in her address motivated the
students. She discussed the need for essential professional life skills to climb the corporate ladder.
HR Professionals from different media organisations attended the event. The event was graced by the

The PG student at MET Institute of Mass Media students gave a presentation of their learnings and skill
sets. Two students from each specialisation presented their batch to all the esteemed HR professionals
present at the event. This was followed by a Panel Discussion on ‘Media Career Essentials.’ The panellist
included Ms. Jiel Narvekar, HR Business Partner, Keva - Fragrances, Flavours & Aroma Ingredients, Mr.
Mustafa Merchant, AVP HR, Jio Studios, Ms. Veena Kotian Danny, Head HR, R K SWAMY Limited, Ms.

The panel discussion revolved around the essence of targeted resumes, key considerations while
applying for an opportunity and preparing for interviews, insights on performance appraisal processes,
handling job saturations and the impact of AI on human work life in the media sector.
MET Synergy 2023 was an enlightening experience in terms of the students\' learnings as they step up
towards their professional journeys. The day was filled with learning for the students and a happy
association for the HR professionals.
Navratri Festival Celebration 2023 by Media Students

The vibrant spirit of Navratri was embraced by the enthusiastic students of MET Institute of Mass Media. The festivities kicked off with students adorned in traditional attire, gathering on the dance floor to showcase their mesmerising Garba moves.
The students played \'Garba\' with boundless energy, absolute enthusiasm, and an infectious vigour that lit up the event!
The Brand-You Day

The ADMM M19 Induction program at MET Institute of Mass Media featured a captivating event known as \'The Brand-You Day,\' which showcased distinguished speakers: Ms. Umama Tabassum Memon, an Image Consultant & Personal Branding Coach, and Ms. Debarati Roy, the Founder of Image By Debarati.
Ms. Umama shared her valuable insights through engaging activities, focusing on the art of \'Creating First Impressions through Attitude and Body Language.\' Following this, Ms. Debarati Roy, the Founder of Image By Debarati, led an interactive session on \'Visual Appeal and Communication.\' During this session, she delved into how clothing and communication play pivotal roles in conveying an individual\'s personality, emphasizing their ability to not only create initial impressions but also leave a lasting impact.
The day\'s proceedings were brought to a close with an enlightening session on \'LinkedIn Profile Optimization\' led by Aditi Gosalia, Senior Manager at MET IMM.
Cleaning Drive at Elephanta Caves, Gharapuri

The ADMM students of MET Institute of Mass Media visited Elephanta Caves, Gharapuri for
a day long cleaning drive. The purpose of the activity was to sensitise the young minds
toward environmental hygiene.
During the visit, the students were divided into groups. They ensured cleaning up the dirt on
the road way in and around the venue. By the end of the activity, the students had cleared
up large amount of garbage.
Business of Entertainment with Mr. Yusuf Sheikh

As a part of the Induction Programme of ADMM Batch M19, MET Institute of Mass Media welcomed Mr. Yusuf Sheikh, Business Head - Percept Pictures, Founder - Yen Movie Studio, as a guest speaker on Domain Awareness Day.
In an interactive session on ‘The Business of Entertainment’, Mr. Yusuf delved into the intricate business aspects of the Entertainment industry. He engaged the audience in a captivating discussion, shedding light on the industry\'s growth dynamics and providing valuable insights into this dynamic profession.
Experiential learning at Carnival event

As volunteers, MET Institute of Mass Media students assisted at the occasion celebration cum carnival event at Citi Mall, Andheri. Positive Thinkerz organised the event and the students set up and managed the game stalls, which included organising games, handing out prizes and keeping the children entertained.
Throughout the event, the ADMM students served as showrunners. A productive Sunday filled with the best of experiential learning.
Republic Day @ MET

Mumbai Educational Trust celebrated the 74th Republic Day of India by hoisting the Tricolour by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET, in the presence of Directors, Principals, Heads of the Institutes and Departments.
MET resonated with patriotic zeal as MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students presented an instrumental performance, patriotic song renditions and speeches to honour the occasion by displaying the rich, traditional and cultural heritage and feeling proud to be a part of our nation. MMS students from the MET Institute of Management organised a Constitution Quiz for all the MET and MRV students & parents to boost their knowledge of the Constitution of India.
The event\'s highlight was the MET Awards - MET Bhushan, bestowed on dedicated MET employees for completing 15 years of passionate service, MET Gaurav, faculty and students were honoured for demonstrating excellence at international & domestic levels in Academic, Research & Sports and MET Ratna, facilitated to students for their achievement of being the academic toppers in their respective courses.
Mumbai Educational Trust and Delphic Council of Maharashtra Celebrate 28 Years of International Delphic Movement

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) partnered with the International Delphic council and Delphic
Council of Maharashtra formed the Delphic Art Wall at its campus in Bandra on 15 December
2022. It even marked the celebration of 28 years of the International Delphic Movement.
Thousands of students from MET Institutes and MET Rishikul Vidyalaya (MRV) participated in
the Delphic Art Wall. It was a Unity Project and a global attempt to make a record for the
longest Art Wall, running 11 kilometres by 2025. On this occasion MET, a more than 30 years
old recognized educational league, also announced Delphic Clubs for School and College
Students that will further strengthen their contribution towards the cultural cause. The Delphic
Games even referred to the Twin Sisters of the Olympic Games. Delphic is to arts and culture
equivalent to what the Olympics is to physical sports. The Delphic Games in modern bits are
hosted and driven by the International Delphic Council based in Berlin.
The Delphic Movement promotes harmony in the community via artistic engagement to boost
Art and Culture. The Live Art Wall Canvas Painting of 70 Meters by MET and MET Rishikul
Vidyalaya\'s students portrayed the art and culture of Maharashtra around the theme of
\'Water\'. The paintings made at MET have further ties with various states and countries to
develop an 11 kilometers long Art Wall at the time of the Delphic Games in an attempt to make
an entry in Guinness Book of World Records.
The event was inaugurated with a live painting by the world renowned calligraphy artist from
Maharashtra Mr. Achyut Palav and Artist Mr. Nilesh Mohite in the presence of Mr. Pankaj
Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET
and Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General, International Delphic Council. Ms. Soumni Paul,
Vice President, Hungama Music, Core Members of Delphic Council Maharashtra, Mr. Suresh
Thomas, President, Maharashtra Delphic Council, Ms. Anuja Sahai, Mr. Abhijeet Bhujbal, Mr. Ali
Akbar Rizvi, Ms. Sejal Gala, Ms. Dipti Shah, and Mr. Susheel Mistry also graced the inaugural
ceremony.
The carnival witnessed diverse kinds of Folk and Tribal dances like Tarpa Dance, Dhol Dance,
and Nandi Dance performances expressing the Arts and Culture of Maharashtra by students of
MET and MRV. This International Delphic Movement even featured a Fashion Show portraying
outfits that showcase Maharashtra\'s culture in sync with the Delphic Art wall live paintings by
MET\'s students.
Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee MET expressed his delight on the Delphic as an idea
attempting to unite the world via Arts & Culture. He said, \"MET as an institution that offers programmes and courses is based on the premise of values rooted in our Culture and therefore
Arts that express our Cultures. We find the Delphic Movement a valuable resource to give our
students the global platforms they deserve.\"
Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, Secretary General of the International Delphic Council, a Cultural
Entrepreneur, and the founder of the Art School, expressed, \"I\'d love to tell you that the
foundation of the Mumbai Education Trust (MET) is about bringing a cultural value system into
children who study with you. The International Delphic Council completely subscribes to that
statement since we are based on the idea of the Delphic spirit.\" He also added, \"When we are
talking about a school year is what a wonderful gathering - we are talking about the very core
values that we require to be able to grow as human beings. One of the core values is love which
is about the spiritual balance between you and the universe & the rest of you; that is why we go
to schools & have these Cultural Value Systems with us.\"
In general, the Delphic Art Movement at MET and MRV gives students an opportunity to unveil
and symbolize Maharashtra\'s rich Art and Culture. The Delphic Clubs at MRV School and MET
Institutes will continue to serve as a platform to encourage Arts and Cultural exhibits amongst
the learner community.
