METamorphosis is the annual mega media three day fest organised the media post graduate students MET Institute of Mass Media. The theme for this year was – Aspire to Inspire. The theme, \'Aspire to Inspire\' revolves around brands and personalities who have stepped out of the conventions of traditional thoughts and have changed the way media is viewed by the world. Right from using breakthrough technologies to writing path breaking scripts, media has broken the shackles of mainstream norms, and have paved the way for the globe to embrace and celebrate the glorious presence of brands and people who have been significant agents of innovation.
For the event, the media post graduate students of MET IMM worked non-stop - right from designing the theme, planning the events, their show flows, pitching and getting on board sponsors and celebrities, sorting the production elements and the smallest of details to make the event a huge success.
The fest took off on a grand note with Manoj Joshi (Actor), Shailendra Singh (Ex- Managing Director – Percept Ltd) and Manish Bhatt (Founder, Scarecrow Communications) along with MET Trustees gracing the inaugural ceremony. Over the three days, the fest hosted events such as Sports, Films, Photography, Performing Arts and panel discussions and witnessed an overwhelming participation from hundreds of young aspirants across more than one hundred and fifty colleges of the city.
The day two of the event started with a panel discussion on ‘The changing paradigm of audience viewership across mediums – from films & television to OTT’. Eminent speakers from the media industry, Pragati Deshmukh, Rahul Nair and Anup Thanvi shared their opinions on the viewership curve and the reasons for it. The day concluded with a power packed conversation ‘Marathi Shrushti - Regional Talkshow’ featuring renowned Marathi Cine Personalities like Madhura Velankar, Kranti Redkar, Nitin Desai, Sagar Karande, Devendra Pem and Rohan Mapuskar.
METamorphosis 2019 had an amazing conclude. The music and dancing contest saw teams competing neck to neck to the mesmerizing finals on the stage. The auditorium was packed with enthusiastic audience and participants thoroughly enjoying every moment of the Grand Finale. The finale comprised of interactions with the youth heartthrob, Youtubers – Prajakt Koli and Anisha Dixit (A.K.A – Rikshawali) and the team of the upcoming film, ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’ coupled with dance performances by MET students and the prize distribution ceremony of the winner participants across the three day event. With this the 14th batch of MET Institute of Mass Media concluded their final convergence project of the ADMM program.

Careers in Modern Journalism

MET Institute of Mass Media proudly welcomed its accomplished alumnus, Mr. Tejas Rane, as a guest speaker during the Induction Week for the Post Graduate Program in Mass Communication and Media Management (PGP MCMM 2025–26).
With over 10 years of experience in the media industry, Mr. Rane has extensively covered major sports events across India and abroad. His career spans notable stints with Mid-Day, Network18, and Outlook India Magazine, where he has interviewed renowned sports personalities including Jonty Rhodes, Dinesh Lad, and Ajinkya Rahane.
Invited to speak on “Careers in Modern Journalism and Sports as a Growing Sector in Media†Mr. Rane shared his journey from a media student to a respected sports journalist. He highlighted how the sports media ecosystem has evolved with digital transformation, live streaming, and the increasing role of analytics in storytelling.
Mr. Rane emphasized the importance of credibility, speed, and adaptability in modern journalism while shedding light on emerging opportunities in sports content, athlete branding, and multimedia reporting. Through anecdotes from his interviews and field experiences, he inspired students to pursue meaningful careers in journalism with a focus on passion-driven reporting.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, leaving the new batch motivated to explore the diverse and fast-growing avenues of sports journalism in the contemporary media landscape.
Independence Day 2025

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day with a series of vibrant events across its campuses. The grand flag-hoisting ceremony was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, along with Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, Mumbai Education Trust, and Guest of Honour Mr. D. Sivanandhan, Retired Deputy General of Police. The presence of our esteemed Institute Directors, Principals, and Heads made the occasion truly memorable. The unfurling of the Tricolour filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour, reminding us of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility towards our nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya hosted a vibrant cultural celebration that showcased the talent and enthusiasm of its students. The event featured a House-wise Music Competition, artistic mosaics honouring freedom fighters, patriotic dance performances by Primary students, and a thought-provoking roleplay by AS & A Level students, depicting conversations between freedom fighters and today’s youth. Students from Pre-Primary to AS Levels participated with great zeal, making the celebration both inspiring and memorable.
The day was a true reflection of MET’s commitment to nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. As the Tricolour fluttered high, every heart resonated with the promise to uphold the spirit of freedom.
