Interactive Session with Cap. Raghu Raman
2026-03-28
On 27th March 2026, MET Institute of Mass Media had the privilege of hosting Captain Raghu Raman for an engaging and insightful interaction session.
Captain Raman, with his remarkable journey spanning the Indian Army, corporate leadership, and national security initiatives, shared powerful real-life experiences from commanding posts at Siachen Glacier to serving as a UN peacekeeper in Angola. His transition into the corporate world with the Mahindra Group, and later his pivotal role in a Government of India project initiated after the 2008 Mumbai Attacks, offered students a rare, multi-dimensional perspective on leadership and strategy.
The session was highly interactive, also featuring Simon and Vrinda Ma’am, where Captain Raman introduced a compelling project vision. Students from Institute’s in-house agency - MET Media Collective, have been invited to contribute by developing treatment notes, an exciting opportunity to apply classroom learning to a real-world initiative.
What stood out most was his emphasis on aligning individual strengths, interests, and specializations with meaningful roles encouraging students to think beyond conventional boundaries. A truly enriching experience that blended storytelling, strategy, and inspiration.
