MET Institute of Mass Media was honoured to host its accomplished alumnus, Mr. Prateek Pandey, as a guest speaker during the Induction Week for the Post Graduate Programme in Mass Communication & Media Management (PGP MCMM 2025–26).
A strategic business leader in Print Media, Mr. Pandey brings over a decade of experience across marketing, sales, and business development. He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and MET Institute of Mass Media, and has held significant roles with leading organizations including Times Group, Omnicuris, CIMS Medica, and Havas Life Sorento.
In his session titled “Exciting world of MICE in Media Business†Mr. Pandey shared his professional journey, offering valuable perspectives on how the MICE industry is evolving and the role of media professionals in shaping it. He spoke about building sustainable business strategies, creating meaningful impact through innovative communication, and the importance of adaptability in navigating cross-sector opportunities.
The interactive session provided the students with a clear understanding of the vast career possibilities within healthcare and allied industries, while inspiring them to cultivate a purpose-driven approach to their professional growth.

MET Institute of Mass Media proudly welcomed its distinguished alumnus, Mr. Shravan Ajay, a celebrated storyteller and creative entrepreneur, as part of the Induction Week for the Post Graduate Programme in Mass Communication and Media Management (PGP MCMM 2025–26 batch).
With over a decade of experience in the radio industry, Mr. Shravan Ajay is best known for his charismatic on-air presence as the Radio Jockey of “Laai Bhari with Radio cha Marathi Mulga Shravan†on Fever 104 FM. His extensive career also includes key roles at 92.7 Big FM, 91.9 FM Radio Nasha, and 94.3 FM Radio One. Beyond his radio journey, he has directed and curated the popular Marathi stand-up show “Ubhya Ubhya.â€
Today, as the Founder, Creative Director, and Filmmaker at Content Theory, Mr. Shravan Ajay continues to innovate in the world of storytelling, crafting impactful narratives across media platforms. In his engaging session, he shared his journey of turning storytelling into a thriving career, emphasizing creativity, cultural connection, and the power of authentic voices in building lasting audience relationships.
His inspiring talk motivated the students to see storytelling not just as a passion, but as a dynamic career path filled with opportunities in today’s media landscape.
Interaction with Alumni Ms. Palaak Tiwari

MET Institute of Mass Media was delighted to host its accomplished alumna, Ms. Palaak Tiwari, during the Induction Week for the new batch of Post Graduate Programme in Mass Communication & Media Management (PGP MCMM 2025–26). Currently serving as Assistant Manager at Sony Pictures Networks India, Ms. Tiwari plays a key role in shaping the content and strategy for Sony YAY!, the kids’ entertainment channel renowned for its vibrant mix of beloved characters and global favourites.
During her engaging session, Ms. Tiwari shared valuable insights from her journey in the media industry, offering the freshers a glimpse into the dynamic world of children’s entertainment and anime content management. She spoke about the evolving landscape of kids’ programming and the importance of curating relatable, entertaining, and safe content for young audiences.
Ms. Tiwari also shed light on the rapidly growing anime portfolio at Sony YAY!, which includes globally celebrated titles like Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Black Clover, and Jujutsu Kaisen. She discussed the nuances of bringing international anime to Indian screens, balancing global fandoms with local tastes, driving engagement through innovative campaigns, and the rising popularity of anime among young Indian audiences.
Encouraging the students to stay curious and adaptive, she emphasised the significance of cross-platform storytelling, understanding audience psychology, and nurturing creativity in media marketing. Her session concluded with an interactive Q&A, leaving the students inspired to explore diverse career pathways in the ever-evolving entertainment and media landscape.
Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years.
Convened by Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni, Head, MET Incubation Centre, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean, MET Incubation Centre, the session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem.
The collaborative discussion will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.
MET extends sincere thanks to all Heads of Institutions (HOIs), Heads of Departments (HODs), and Incubation Faculty SPOCs for their enthusiastic participation and continued support in fostering entrepreneurship.
