MET AMDC students had the honor of volunteering at the 11th Asia Business Responsibility Summit 2025 held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on March 5th.

The summit, themed “Global Trends in Governance, Stewardship & Sustainability,” brought together visionary leaders from Lenskart, Godrej Industries, TVS Motors, Bank of America, Nestlé India, and many more.

The event was structured into four impactful sessions, covering the evolving landscape of corporate responsibility, corporate governance as a driver of stewardship, and a CNBC TV18 panel discussion on the summit’s core theme. These discussions shed light on sustainable business practices and ethical governance shaping the future. The day concluded with a prestigious award ceremony, recognizing organizations excelling in business responsibility.

MET Trust and HR Department organized a refreshing and joy-filled retreat for MET & MRV Faculty and staff members on March 8, 2025, at Monteria Village. This rejuvenating getaway offered the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and team bonding, providing a much-needed break from the academic routine.

On September 7, 2025, after the Ganpati Visarjan celebrations, the students of the MET Asian Management Development Centre (AMDC) carried out a meaningful beach clean-up initiative at Juhu. The activity focused on addressing the non-biodegradable waste generated during the immersion process, with the aim of restoring the beach’s natural environment and promoting sustainable practices.

The initiative rejuvenated the coastal ecosystem while reinforcing the importance of responsible celebrations, effective waste management, and collective civic action. By participating in this drive, AMDC students showcased leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility—values that reflect the spirit of MET’s future-ready business leaders.

On 16th August 2025, MET had the privilege of being part of the Mindmesh Conclave at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The conclave, themed “Artificial Intelligence and Designed Intuition,” brought together global thought leaders to discuss a vital question of our times: Can machines ever replace human intuition?

The sessions highlighted how AI delivers speed, precision, and scalability but lacks the uniquely human abilities to interpret emotions, values, and ethics—qualities that shape responsible decision-making.

The event featured engaging panel discussions and keynote addresses, each exploring ways to embrace AI without losing the human essence.

For MET, it was also a moment of pride with the launch of the Singapore Alumni Chapter, a step towards strengthening our global network and alumni community.

Addressing the conclave, Prof. Arun Patil, Dean, MET AMDC, powerfully articulated that AI can never possess self-awareness, consciousness, conscience, free will, emotions, empathy, imagination, or—above all—human intuition.

MET Asian Management Development Centre proudly hosted its Annual Convocation 2025 on May 25, 2025.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Mr. Rajiv Vaishnav, Managing Partner of Cornerstone Venture, Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC, and distinguished faculty members.

The graduating class of PGP EMBA (Marketing, Finance, HR), PGP EMBA SBA (Strategic Business Analytics), and PGP EMBA Insurance 2022-24 was conferred with their certificates, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. On November 7, 2024, a fruit distribution drive was conducted by MET AMDC students at TATA Hospital to provide nutritious fruits to people residing on the streets near the hospital. Each beneficiary received a set of fruits that included an apple, guava, and orange. 100 individuals received fruit sets during this distribution.

The fruit distribution drive fostered a sense of community and care among the volunteers and contributors. The drive helped to promote physical wellness and showed the power of collective community action. It instilled a sense of social responsibility amongst the young students and made them aware and cognizant of their role in society.

On 18th September 2024, students from MET Asian Management Development Centre took a significant step towards environmental conservation by joining the Juhu Beach Clean-up. With enthusiasm and dedication, they actively contributed to creating a greener future while embracing the importance of community-driven action. Their message was clear: \"A clean beach today ensures a brighter tomorrow”.
