MET is delighted to announce the signing of an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between MET Incubation Centre and VISTAS, Chennai. This partnership is set to foster academic collaboration, focusing on research, publications, workshops, seminars, and knowledge exchange.

MET AMDC is excited to announce a major milestone: the signing of an MoU between MKCL (Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited) and Mumbai Educational Trust, encompassing MET Asian Management Development Centre.

This partnership underscores MET’s dedication to equipping students with cutting-edge tools and resources through MKCL\'s innovative iLike Credit Courses. These courses will empower MET students with industry-relevant skills, spark creativity, and prepare them to excel in the ever-evolving professional world.

Summer Guide Meet was had on July, 27th 2024 to appreciate and acknowledge the contribution of mentors under whom the students completed their summer Internships.

Some of the best Summer Internship Projects were presented before the audience. The best three presentations were selected by the mentors and given awards. Mr. Manav Vithlani from MET AMDC made us proud by receiving the 2nd runner-up award. He has successfully completed his Internship with Bharti AXA and is amongst the few who received a PrePlacement Offer (PPO).

Today, under the guidance of MET Trustees, a movie screening initiative was organised by MET HR Department. Approximately 300 MET Staff & Students watched the movie, ‘Satyashodhak’, a biographical journey through the life of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. A must watch inspiring film!

Ms. Sakshi Kansal, a student of PGP EMBA 2023-25 batch, created a record by Topping the class with 88.80% marks in the first semester exams. She also topped in 10 subjects – a record –breaking feet. Apart from being the C. R. of the class, she also participated in various social, cultural, academic and other activities throughout the semesters.

She ascribed her success to her above 95% attendance, taking extensive notes in all lectures, listening with focus and attention, daily revision of the day’s proceedings, groups-study and teaching others.

Mumbai Educational Trust launched its initiative ‘MET Incubation Centre’ on 9th November 2023. The grand inauguration was held in the hand of Mr. Erik af Hallstrom, Consul General, Consulate General of Finland, in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management, CA Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Director, MET Institute of PGDM, Dr. Farida Virani, Professor, MET IOM, as well as distinguished entrepreneurs, dignitaries and esteemed faculty members.

The MET Incubation Centre has been designed to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and innovation amongst the students. This dynamic hub will serve as a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with invaluable resources, mentorship & networking opportunities while inspiring many to embark on the journey of entrepreneurship.

MET Asian Management Development Centre celebrated ‘Traditional Day’ on 11th Feb 2023. All the faculties and students were dressed in ethnic attire. Learning Modern Management Concepts in Traditional clothes was indeed an unique experience.

Prof. Arun Patil, Dean, MET AMDC congratulated all the students for presenting various cultural dressing patterns. He advised them to preserve and be proud of the Indian Traditions. Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC congratulated all the students and advised them to become Global Indians.

‘The Soul of India lives in its Villages’. This quote by Mahatma Gandhi, which was given before India’s Independence stands true till date, as a large part of India’s population still resides in rural areas and the corporates view them as a large potential market.

It was a great learning experience for MET Asian Management Development Centre, Mumbai students to learn buyer, consumer and production patterns of rural India on their ‘Rural Marketing Expedition and Social Outreach’ programme at Karjat on the 29th of April 2022.

MET AMDC students visited the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Karjat, District Raigad, Maharashtra and interacted with Mr. Tushar Bendse, who educated them about the research work in rice grain agriculture and the number of new species developed in Maharashtra.

At Maharashtra Shashan Krushi Vibhag Mandal Krushi Adhikari Mrs. Sheetal Shevde explained how Government subsidies to all farmers are given through online registrations and discussed various schemes introduced for Procuring Seeds, Fertilizers, Greenhouse Installation etc.

The students enjoyed the trek to Kondane Caves and were fascinated by the archaeological structure. They visited the Riverwood Retreat Farm, Ulhas River, saw a tribal village and even engaged themselves in tree plantation. They were fascinated by the traditional technique of finding ground water for a bore well by locals with the help of coconut in the palm.

With a view to instil competitive excellence amongst students and honing their analytical and leadership skills, MET Combat (Debate Competition) was organised for the PGP eMBA and PGP SBA students on March 3, 2022. The competition was graced by esteemed judges, Mr. Arjun Marphatia, Ex. Sr Vice President, Enam Asset Management Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Abha Doshi, Principal, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), Mr. J.G. Irani, Director, MET Marcom.

Every student of the 2021-23 batch participated in the event and well discussed on a theme of contemporary global significance. The topic of the final round was ‘War is always unjustified’.

The winning team comprised of Afifa Ansari (Leader), Akhilesh Agrawal, Anisha Rodrigues, Arnav Multani, and Dhara Patel. The Runners Up Team members were Snigdha Kumar (Leader), Rishikesh Tripathi, Sailee Shinde, Sarvesh Tripathi, and Janhvi Parekh. The Best Speaker Award was given to Arnav Multani.

On 4th March 2022, the MET Asian Management Development Centre renewed the MOU with the Chartered Insurance Institute, London Through this arrangement between the CII, London and MET, Mumbai students pursuing the two years eMBA program will get an opportunity to complete their Post Graduation in Management from MET along with the Advanced Diploma in Insurance from CII (London).

The MOU was signed by Mr. Sainesh Dar, Regional Director, Central and South Asia, CII and Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC. Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Honorary Trustee, MET, Mrs. Vishaka Bhujbal, Mr. Amit Pradhan, Corporate Development Manager, CII India and Mr. Arun Patil, Dean, MET AMDC graced the occasion.

MET Asian Management Development Centre has been spear-heading an applied knowledge series for its PGP EMBA students, providing guest lectures by industry professionals on a consistent basis. The topics revolve around current trends and perspectives in the corporate sector, highlighting conceptual utilisation in the real world scenario.
Having students return back to B-School from their Summer Internships, with exposure to corporate domains  and financials, MET AMDC’s guests Mr. Mangesh Palav, DBS Bank provided  insights on Analysis of Financial Statements while Mr. Yash Doshi, AU Small Finance Bank addressed students on the Trends in the FinTech sector, supported by Mr. Pratik Dedhia from Morning Star Financials, also an alumnus, discussed Credit Risk Assessment – all of which enhanced the students’ understanding the nuances of Finance as a domain.
