He has been appointed as an Honorary Member of the Technical Advisory Council of The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards (NCSS).

The NCSS plays a pivotal role in fortifying the nation’s digital infrastructure, protecting against emerging cyber threats, and ensuring a secure and resilient virtual environment. Mr. Bhalerao’s appointment to this prestigious position is a testament to his exemplary contributions and expertise in the field of cybersecurity.

Alumni\'s Interactions with MMS 2025-27

MET Institute of Management organized an Alumni Interaction as a part of Aarohan Launchpad 2025 on 20th September 2025. MET Alumni from diverse sectors including FMCG, Consulting, Real Estate, Market Research, Media, Banking, and Manufacturing interacted with the newly inducted students at MMS 2025–27 sharing their journeys and insights on navigating the world of management.

Ms. Prajakta Mahajan (MMS 2007–09), Brand Manager, Pediasure, spoke about her career in FMCG and emphasized the importance of consumer understanding in building successful brands. Mr. Devesh Bhuwad (MMS 2011–13), Senior Manager, Accenture Strategy & Consulting, highlighted the value of strategic thinking and adaptability in the consulting space. Ms. Tanvi Vardam (MMS 2020–22), Senior Consultant – People Consulting, EY, shared her perspective on people-centric roles and how human capital is the cornerstone of organizational success. Mr. Devesh Chaturvedi (MMS 2019–21), Senior Research Manager, Kantar, discussed the significance of research-led insights for informed decision-making in today’s competitive markets. Ms. Nishita Godambe (MMS 2007–09), Media Analytics Director, MediaSense, reflected on the evolution of media and analytics, stressing the need for students to stay ahead of technological advancements.

Ms. Sonali Dhokte (MMS 2018–20), Regional Manager – Strategy & Project Management Office, IMEA, Henkel, spoke about leadership in global organizations and the ability to manage cross-cultural projects with agility. Ms. Tejaswita Karvir (MMS 2016–18), Senior Consultant, EY, encouraged students to focus on preparedness for the consulting industry and to invest in continuous learning as a way to remain relevant in a fast-changing world.

This Alumni Interaction session proved to be an inspiring exchange that guided the students of the MMS 2025–27 as they began their journey in management education. Corporate Readiness for MMS HR

Understanding the strategic role of HR in a rapidly changing global business environment was the core focus of the Corporate Readiness Session conducted for MMS - Human Resource specialisation students of MMS 2024–26 under Aarohan 3.0 on 26th July 2025. The session featured two distinguished MET alumni — Mr. Siddhant Kashyap, HR Head – North America at Technocolor Canada Inc. (MMS 2016–18), who joined the session virtually, and Ms. Shruti Chaturvedi, HR Manager at KPMG (MMS 2016-18). Both brought with them diverse perspectives from global HR leadership and strategic HR practices in consulting.

Mr. Kashyap spoke about the evolving expectations from HR professionals in global roles, emphasizing remote team management, digital transformation in HR, and the importance of cultural intelligence. He urged students to equip themselves with HR analytics, talent management frameworks, and emerging digital HR platforms.

Ms. Chaturvedi provided practical insights from her experience at KPMG, focusing on recruitment, employee engagement, and aligning HR with business outcomes. She offered clear guidance on how students should approach HR case studies, GDs, and interviews, highlighting the significance of emotional intelligence, strategic alignment, and professional presence.

Corporate Readiness Session for MMS Finance

On 19th July 2025, MET Institute of Management organized a Corporate Readiness Session for MMS - Finance specialization students as part of Aarohan 3.0. The session featured alumni Mr. Haresh Ramchandani, Head of League Operations, Tennis Premier League (MMS 2000–02), Mr. Amol Hiremath, Vice President at Citibank (MMS 2010–12), and Ms. Mrunalini Munj, Tax Senior at Deloitte (MMS 2020–22).

The session focused on key industry practices including financial modelling, the relevance of NISM and related certifications, and the growing importance of tools such as Power BI and Tableau. The speakers shared their experiences on how real-time analysis, risk management, and domain-specific software are shaping the expectations from finance professionals. Students gained practical advice on building analytical and reporting skills to match evolving industry requirements.

The discussion centered on the strategic transformation of HR roles, highlighting topics such as employee experience, workforce planning, and data-informed decision-making. The alumni shared examples from their current roles to explain how HR functions now go beyond administration to actively contribute to organizational growth. The session was led by MET alumni Ms. Anupa Naik, Head – Marketing & Business at ABC – Aditya Birla Wellness (MMS 1995–97), Mr. Sudhir Kalyanikar, AVP & Head IT Governance at UltraTech Cement Ltd. (MMS 1996–98), and Ms. Tanya Raj, Assistant Marketing Manager at Reliance Jio (MMS 2018–20).

The speakers discussed the evolving nature of marketing roles, emphasizing the need to understand consumer behavior, market trends, and the integration of digital platforms. They highlighted the shift toward data-driven marketing, the use of tools like Meta Ads, SEO/SEM, and content marketing strategies. Students were encouraged to stay updated on digital trends while grounding their approach in marketing fundamentals and strong storytelling abilities.

The session included alumni speakers Mr. Uday Mundhe, Supply Chain Lead at Aditya Birla (MMS 2010–12), and Mr. Swapnil Patle, Business Analyst at PureSoftware Ltd. (MMS 2020–22).

The speakers shared practical insights into supply chain visibility, inventory management, and technology integration in operations planning. They discussed how operations roles today involve close collaboration with IT systems, automation tools, and process optimization frameworks. Real-world examples from manufacturing, retail, and services sectors provided students with a better understanding of how analytics and ERP tools are used to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.

MET Institute of Management conducted a Corporate Readiness Session as part of the Aarohan 3.0 Induction series for MMS Semester III students. The session featured alumni from all four specializations: Finance, HR, Marketing, and Operations, who shared practical insights from their respective industries.

Mr. Rohit Sabnis, Assistant Manager at Marsh McLennan, walked Finance students through a live SWOT analysis and discussed skills expected by investment firms. Ms. Siddhi Parekar, HR Business Partner at EY, spoke about current trends in human resources, including data-driven recruitment and hybrid work practices. Mr. Rushikesh Gunjgur, Deputy Manager at Adani Realty, outlined recent developments in digital marketing and offered tips for building a standout profile. Mr. Shreyas Patil, Director at Polygrams Pvt. Ltd. (Fruttons), shared real-world operational challenges from the FMCG sector and discussed the skills needed in supply chain roles.

The session helped students connect academic learning with real-world expectations across industries.

Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years.

Convened by Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni, Head, MET Incubation Centre, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean, MET Incubation Centre, the session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem.

The collaborative discussion will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.

MET extends sincere thanks to all Heads of Institutions (HOIs), Heads of Departments (HODs), and Incubation Faculty SPOCs for their enthusiastic participation and continued support in fostering entrepreneurship.

Alto University delegation visits MET IOM

On April 28, 2025, MET Institute of Management engaged in discussions with representatives from Aalto University School of Business, Finland, to explore potential collaboration opportunities in entrepreneurship, alumni relations, and academic partnerships.

The dialogue centered on understanding Aalto University\'s entrepreneurial ecosystem, including initiatives such as the Aalto Entrepreneurship Society (Aaltoes), Aalto Innovation Services, and the \"Ideas to Impact\" model. Aaltoes is a student-led organization that fosters high-growth entrepreneurship through events and programs, contributing to the vibrant startup culture at Aalto.

Further discussions highlighted Aalto\'s Entrepreneurship Unit (ENTU), which approaches entrepreneurship as a multifaceted socio-economic phenomenon through education and research. The team also explored Aalto\'s involvement in major innovation events like DASH, Junction, and Slush, which serve as platforms for design thinking, hackathons, and startup networking, respectively.

MET IOM\'s own entrepreneurial ecosystem, alumni engagements, and initiatives were also discussed, aiming to identify areas for mutual learning and collaboration. The meeting concluded with a review of potential academic collaborations, including double degrees, twinning programs, and progression partnerships.

On April 25, 2025, MET Institute of Management hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurs Roundtable’, a thought-provoking session that brought together accomplished alumni from diverse industries.

Mr. Varun D Gheewala (MMS 2011-13), Director at Sakaar Corporation, spoke about the seamless amalgamation of technology and real estate, and how digital transformation is redefining the sector. Mr. Devang Oza (MMS 2003–05), Entrepreneur in the Agri-Tech space, offered valuable insights into the agri-tech sector, drawing parallels with global best practices. Mr. Divyesh Panchal (MMS 2009–11), Founder & CEO of D2P Consultancy, emphasized the need for building a strong alumni network that can contribute to both industry engagement and institutional development. Ms. Rajshree Gadgil (MMS 1998–2000), Celebrity Nutritionist and Founder of ENERGYA – RSG Nutrition & Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the evolving role of technology in nutrition and wellness, particularly its application in customized health solutions.

Joining virtually, Ms. Sumitra Goenka (MMS 2001–2003), Founder & Director of Ratein Infotech India Pvt. Ltd., suggested creating a more structured alumni network and leveraging it as a platform for mentorship and guidance for current students. Mr. Sachin Kamble (MMS 2004–06), Founder of Swar AI, shed light on the increasing relevance of AI in voice-based bots and how it is transforming customer experience across sectors. Mr. Abhishek Jajoo (MMS 2010–12), Founder & CEO of Innovatech Solutions, shared insights on technology-driven innovations and their role in transforming traditional industries. Mr. Pratik Bagaria (MMS 2006–08), Founder & CEO of GreenTech Solutions, joined the session online.

Representing industries like consultancy, real estate, AI, wellness, and more, these alumni reflected MET’s diverse entrepreneurial legacy. Honoring a Life of Dedication and Service

Mumbai Educational Trust held a heartfelt condolence meet on 3rd January 2025, in memory of its esteemed Registrar, Ms. Anuradha Chavan. The gathering was graced by the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET, and Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, along with the MET staff.

The meet honored Ms. Chavan’s tireless efforts, unwavering dedication, and invaluable contributions to the institute\'s growth and success. Fond memories were shared by staff members, reflecting on her warmth, kindness, and the profound positive impact she had on everyone she worked with.

Her extraordinary commitment and service will always be remembered, and her absence will be deeply felt by the entire MET family. Ms. Chavan’s passing, following her brave battle with a terminal illness, marks a great loss for the institution and all who knew her.
