On 25th September 2024, MET Institute of Computer Science had the privilege of hosting Ms. Bhuvaneshwari Venkatesh, Founder of Engaging Minds, for an insightful seminar on \"Interview Etiquettes\" tailored for MCA students. The session focused on crucial elements of interview preparation such as professional attire, body language, and effective communication.

Ms. Bhuvaneshwari shared practical tips on tackling common interview questions and stressed the importance of researching the company and role beforehand. Students actively participated in mock interviews and role plays, gaining hands-on experience. The session wrapped up with a Q&A, where students received personalized guidance to sharpen their interview skills.

This interactive seminar empowered our students with the confidence and tools they need to succeed in future job opportunities!

Mumbai Educational Trust organised a guest lecture about the \'World of VFX\' in collaboration with Incube8 and Fractal Picture for the students of MET Asian Management Development Centre (MET AMDC), MET Institute of Computer Science (MET ICS), MET Institute of Mass Media (MET IMM) and MET Institute of Information Technology (MET IIT) on 4th February 2023.

The Incube8 team was welcomed by Mr. Sapan Shrestha, Project Manager, Fractal Picture, MET AMDC Alumni Mr. Aijaz Rashid, Business Head - VFX and Commercials, Fractal Picture, Mr. Behram Patel, Python Developer, Fractal Picture and MET IMM Alumni Ms. Ritika Doshi, Digital Operations Manager, BabyG App.

The guests were felicitated by Dr. Sangeeta Tondon, Director, MET AMDC, Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Principal, MET ICS, Mr. Sanjay Sakharkar, Director, MET IMM and Mr. Nitin Patil, Course Coordinator - DACA, MET IIT.

The Incube8 team initiated a presentation on the differences between Computer Graphics and delved into the world of VFX. Mr. Rashid demonstrated how VFX is used in TV commercials and ran a showreel of their prestigious work in the industry. Mr. Soni explained the VFX process & its stages and how students are trained at Incube8. Mr. Shrestha presented their company’s infrastructure and training facilities. Mr. Patel discussed the importance of Python coders in VFX work and why they need it in the industry. Lastly, Ms. Doshi shared her experience with the Fractal Picture.

The students of DACA showcased their Animation projects. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Banubakode.

Dr. Harshali Patil, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Computer Science received First position in Track 1 - Machine Learning during ICDMAI2023 for a Research Paper titled “Prakruti Nishchitikaran of Human Body using Supervised Machine Learning Approach” at 7th International Conference on Data Management, Analytics and Innovation held from 27-29th January 2023 at Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune organised by the Society for Data Science, India.

Dr. Abhijit Banubakode, Principal, MET Institute of Computer Science was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Emerging Trends in Digital Technologies - 2023 (ICETDT-2023) at SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce on 21st February 2023.

Dr. Banubakode delivered a session on ‘The Role of Digital Technology in Education Transformation.’ which was attended by more than 100 participants from across India.

Mr. Omprakash L Mandge, Professor, MET Institute of Computer Science was invited as speaker and resource person to conduct the 2 Days Seminar on \'Web Development using React JS\' at VIVA Institute of Technology, Virar (E). He explained with examples the use of React JS to build modern web applications and demonstrated development of an e-commerce website during this session, which was attended by more than 180 students from the Computer Engineering and MCA department of the college on 15 Sept 2022.
