MET Asian Management Development Centre hosted MET Combat on 29th September 2025, a dynamic and intellectually charged debate competition between seniors and juniors, aimed at promoting critical thinking, articulate expression, and fresh perspectives on global issues.

This year’s debate topic for the finals, “Economic warfare by developed nations on emerging economies will boomerang,” sparked thoughtful arguments and in-depth analysis from both sides. After a series of intense qualifying rounds on contemporary issues, the finalists delivered compelling viewpoints that demonstrated both research and clarity of thought.

The esteemed panel of judges comprised Mr. Shakti Leekha, Founder of Shakti Leekha Ventures and strategic advisor known for his RASTA framework; Mr. Ashish Joshi, Chartered Accountant and Director at Ernst & Young Member Firm with 18 years of audit experience; and Mr. Shivendra Tripathi, Senior Procurement Manager with over 24 years in the marine industry and expertise in supply chain and operations.

The event concluded on a high note with valuable feedback from the judges and enthusiastic participation from the audience. MET Combat at MET AMDC successfully fulfilled its goal of fostering meaningful dialogue and inspiring students to engage with global economic issues critically and confidently.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) hosted Mock Interviews for Marketing students on August 10, 2024. We had with us top-notch professionals from various corporations and esteemed Alumni.

We are thrilled to share that MET Institute has successfully hosted an inspiring and enlightening IT Colloquium on 6th July 2024. The event brought together industry experts, academicians, and students to explore the latest trends and advancements in the field of Information Technology.

The event commenced with the auspicious Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge for an enlightening and fruitful day. Welcome address by our honourable trustee Shri Pankaj Bhujbal Sir emphasized the importance of staying abreast of technological advancements and to leverage such platforms for continuous learning and innovation. The theme of the colloquium was set by Dr. Abhijit Banubakode - Principal ICS at MET Institute.

We were honored to have Ms. Reshma Qureshi - Head, Digital Enablement (Ideation to Revenue Value Chain) at TCS as Keynote Speaker who shared their invaluable insights on IT transitions and Evolution.

Next was the panel discussion with the theme \"Evolving trends and Expectations in the IT Industry\", The panelists, Mr. Davinder Singh - Chief Placement Officer CDAC Mumbai Region, Prof. Omprakash Mandge - Course Coordinator at MET ics and MET ISDR, Mr. Krupesh Parmar - Intelliza Solutions, Dr. Ashish Hanttangadi - Professor at Alkesh Dinesh Mody College, Mr. Dixson Almeida - Consultant at Securetech Solutions, Dr. Seema Purohit - Professor Emeritus at B.K. Birla College and Mr. Pankaj Tayade - Leader at IIBA provided diverse viewpoints and sparked meaningful conversations.

The event was also graced by Dr Neil Sequeira for an interactive session for all our industry delegates on Happiness Psychology. He made a significant contribution to help us understand how psychological principles can be applied to enhance our daily lives.

This was followed by Vote of thanks by very own Dr. Jyotsna Munshi - Deputy Director Corporate Relations Department.

This colloquium has reinforced our commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative learning environment. We look forward to organizing more such events in the future to continue nurturing the IT talent and bridging the gap between academia and industry.

On 14th September 2024, MET Asian Management Development Centre celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi and Ethnic Day with a lively Traditional Day event. The celebration provided a unique learning opportunity for participants, fostering cultural awareness and team spirit. Activities like \"Mimicry\" encouraged creativity and public speaking, while the \"Dance without any songs\" challenged participants to innovate without music. The synchronized \"Hookup steps\" dance promoted teamwork, and the \"In out game\" added fun while sharpening coordination skills. Ethnic Day enriched the event, with everyone dressed in traditional attire, making it both an educational and memorable celebration.

MET AMDC hosted \'Arohan - The Launchpad,\' an induction program for the PGP EMBA & PGP EMBA - Business Analytics (Batch 2024-26) from August 22nd to 24th. The three-day event was designed to equip students with the knowledge and insights needed for their academic and professional journeys, featuring a series of talks, interactive sessions, and wellness activities led by esteemed industry experts and alumni.

On the first day, the program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Hon. Trustee Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, and Prof. Arun Patil. The highlight of the day was a keynote address by Mr. Rakesh Gujjar, Western Europe Region Head for Credit Risk Analysis at CITI, who spoke on \"Charting Your Path: From Classroom to Boardroom.\" His insights provided students with a clear understanding of the journey from academic life to professional success.

On the second day, the program continued with a session on \'Cultural Differentiators\' by Mr. Subhasis Ghosh, CEO of Kotak Pension Fund, offering valuable insights into navigating diverse work environments. The day also featured a session on \'Leading with Emotional Intelligence\' by Prof. Farida Virani, followed by Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head - MET CET, who inspired students with her talk on \'Kindle Your Talent, Creative Flames.\' The day\'s learning concluded with Ms. Nita Menezes, Founder & CEO of Financially Smart & MoneyPrastha, delivering an engaging lecture on the \'Fascinating World of Finance.\'

On the third day, students participated in an array of insightful and engaging sessions. The day began with a discussion on \'Journey at MET & Beyond MET\' by Mr. Manish Oberoi, Head of Channel Marketing at Aditya Birla Financial Limited, and Mr. Yash Paleja, Real Estate Influencer and Strategist. This was followed by a wellness session on \'Wellness + Yog: A Way of Life\' conducted by Acharya Sharada Bubna. Later, Mr. Vinay Shivdasani, Executive Director & Practice Head at Ambit Pvt. Ltd., shared his expertise on \'New Avenues of Finance,\' highlighting emerging opportunities in the financial sector. The day wrapped up with an enriching Alumni Interaction session, where past students shared their success stories and career journeys.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) hosted an inspiring ‘Summer Guide Meet’ on 27th July 2024, bringing together industry leaders, educators, and students. The event featured engaging student presentations, insightful discussions, and enriching networking opportunities.

The day began with Saraswati Vandana, followed by a welcome address from CA Dr. Das, Director, MET PGDM, and the theme introduction by Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC.

Keynote speaker Mr. Ashrin Singh Anand, Director of Corporate Strategy, M&A, and Partnerships at S&P Global and MET IOM alumnus, shared his career insights. Students showcased their innovative summer internship projects, with the best receiving trophies and certificates.

Dr. Harshada Mulay, Associate Professor, MET PGDM opened the forum for guest insights, and Dr. Jyotsna Munshi, Deputy Director, MET Corporate Relations, gave the vote of thanks. A heartfelt appreciation goes to all mentors, faculty, and industry professionals for their invaluable support.

MET annual convocation for the batch 2021-23 of PGP EMBA took place on 19th May, marking a joyous celebration of academic accomplishments and the promising journey ahead. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment of knowledge, graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. MET HR Department organised a refreshing, rejuvenating, and joy-filled retreat for MET & MRV faculty and staff members. A leisurely day out awaited at IMAGICAA, Water & Theme Park on Saturday, 16th March 2024.

Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC being honoured and recognized as the “Most Influential Professor” at the Brand Sutra Event during the 31st Business School Affaire’ & Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Awards.

This recognition reaffirms Dr. Tandon’s commitment to shaping young minds, fostering innovation, and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Education is not just a profession—it’s a mission to inspire, empower, and guide students to achieve their fullest potential.

MET Alumni Association, Dubai Chapter was inaugurated at an event at Garden Lounge, Bur Dubai on 03 December 2023.  Dr. Sangeeta Tandon represented MET during the event, which was well attended by many MET alumni from various batches and courses  who are working in the region.

Alumni from 1994 and a representative from 2015 cut the cake, officially opening the Dubai Chapter. Dr. Tandon highlighted MET\'s progress under the visionary leadership of Hon. Trustee of MET, Mr Pankaj Bhujbal and Mrs Vishakha Bhijbal. She further shared how MET is focusing on the importance of global skill development to put MET students on the world map.

The gathering enjoyed a gourmet lunch, fostering camaraderie among the alumni, making it a memorable bonding moment.

The Induction program \'AAROHAN\' for PGP EMBA students was hosted by the Asian Management Development Centre on August 28, 2023. This three-day program seamlessly combined both educational and entertaining elements.

The event commenced with a keynote address titled \'Preparing for Corporate Challenges,\' delivered by the esteemed Chief Guest, Brig. Sushil Bhasin. Following this, Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, the Director of AMDC, presented \'Inspiring Minds,\' and Prof. Arun Patil, the Dean of AMDC, introduced \'Pehchan.\' Mr. Yash Paleja, an alumnus from the real estate sector, provided valuable insights into finance and the real estate market.

The day was further enriched as students embarked on a MET tour and visited the MET World of Music (MWM), where they relished melodious performances by Mr. Vinay Mandke, Head of MET World of Music.

The second day featured a session on \'Emotional Intelligence\' by Dr. Farida Virani, followed by an exploration of start-ups and entrepreneurship by Mr. Gautam Gulati, an alumnus. Mr. Aftab Chaz, another alumnus, shed light on current opportunities in the field of insurance. Dr. Devyani Rozario shared insights on \'Happiness,\' and Mr. Arjun Marphatia discussed \'Career Opportunities in Finance\' in a serious tone.

On the third day, students delved into \'Digital Marketing\' with Mr. Ankush Sohoni and explored the realm of HR through a talk by Mr. Qarn Mehta, also an alumnus. Dr. Jyotsna Munshi, Deputy Director,Placements at MET, illuminated the students on placement opportunities. Dr. Chitra Wadke, along with Dr. Mouchumi Deka, engaged the students in a series of captivating and thought-provoking activities under the banner of \'Creative Flames.\' The program culminated with an interactive session involving alumni from diverse backgrounds, different graduating classes, and various areas of specialization.

MET SYNERGY 2023 served as the stage where corporate alumni engaged with students enrolled in the PGP EMBA program. During this event, they exchanged their perspectives and opinions on fostering skills that are tailored to meet industry demands, thereby enhancing students\' preparedness for the professional world.
