Aarohan 2025 at MET AMDC

MET AMDC successfully hosted Aarohan 2025, a three-day orientation program for the PGP EMBA and PGP EMBA–Business Analytics Batch 2025–2027, from August 11 to 13, 2025. Designed to ease students into the world of management and analytics, the event featured expert-led sessions, industry interactions, and experiential learning.

The program commenced with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp and Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, AMDC, and a visionary inaugural oration by Shri Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET.
Industry leaders enriched the orientation with insightful sessions: Ms. Manjeet Dhillon (Kotak Securities) on transitioning from campus to corporate, Mr. Vinay Shivdasani (Ambit Capital) on capital market careers, Mr. Deepen Shah (Axis My India) on predictive data modeling, Ms. Supriya Narain (Bain & Company) on consulting, and Mr. Hitesh Magoo (CaratLane – Tata Group) on marketing strategy.

Complementing these talks were impactful developmental activities. The 16 PF Personality Test helped students explore behavioral traits, while Dr. Sangeeta Tandon’s Inspiring Minds session promoted purpose-driven learning. Prof. Arun Patil, Dean, AMDC, conducted Pehechaan, encouraging self-reflection and bonding, and Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head – Centre of Educational Technology, MET, led Kindle Your Talent & Creative Flames, blending creativity with collaboration.

Educational Visit to HDFC Bank – Fort Branch

As part of the Basics of Banking lecture, PGP EMBA students from the MET Asian Management Development Centre (MET AMDC) visited HDFC Bank, Fort Branch. The event was organized by Prof. Nisha Chhabria, former Vice President of HDFC Bank, with the aim of complementing classroom learning through practical exposure to the operations of a leading financial institution.

Students gained valuable insights into customer services, digital banking systems, and financial product offerings. The session also helped them understand various banking departments, aligning with their syllabus and providing a comprehensive overview of Banking as a Service. On 24th August 2025, MET AMDC EMBA students gained valuable real-world exposure by volunteering at Tamasha Factory’s Mic Drop event, hosted at Lord of the Drinks, Worli. The platform offered them first-hand experience of the dynamic pace and challenges of a live entertainment show while contributing to its seamless execution.

Their roles spanned artist coordination, backstage facilitation, audience interaction, and operational support, giving them a holistic view of event and celebrity management. This immersive engagement not only enhanced their practical understanding of event logistics but also reinforced essential managerial skills such as teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism—vital for future leaders in the field.
