MET Asian Management Development Centre hosted MET Combat on 29th September 2025, a dynamic and intellectually charged debate competition between seniors and juniors, aimed at promoting critical thinking, articulate expression, and fresh perspectives on global issues.

This year’s debate topic for the finals, “Economic warfare by developed nations on emerging economies will boomerang,” sparked thoughtful arguments and in-depth analysis from both sides. After a series of intense qualifying rounds on contemporary issues, the finalists delivered compelling viewpoints that demonstrated both research and clarity of thought.

The esteemed panel of judges comprised Mr. Shakti Leekha, Founder of Shakti Leekha Ventures and strategic advisor known for his RASTA framework; Mr. Ashish Joshi, Chartered Accountant and Director at Ernst & Young Member Firm with 18 years of audit experience; and Mr. Shivendra Tripathi, Senior Procurement Manager with over 24 years in the marine industry and expertise in supply chain and operations.

The event concluded on a high note with valuable feedback from the judges and enthusiastic participation from the audience. MET Combat at MET AMDC successfully fulfilled its goal of fostering meaningful dialogue and inspiring students to engage with global economic issues critically and confidently.
