On 5th June 2023, MET PGDM Nature Club was successfully launched with the official unveiling of the MET PGDM Nature Club logo in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, MET and Ms. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET. This momentous occasion took place on World Environment Day, providing the club with a strong foundation.

The objective of this Nature Club is to start a journey of environmental education and nature conservation and create actionable awareness among management students for Biodiversity protection through a variety of programmes and activities planned.

The day is largely important as World Environment Day and the same has been celebrated by a distribution of potted plants among the team of MET PGDM.

The launch event was attended by Dr. Suvrashis Sarkar, Associate Professor, MET PGDM, Prof. Kiran Rodrigues, Assistant Professor, MET PGDM, Prof. Seema Korgaonkar, Assistant Professor, MET PGDM, Prof. Amey Palwankar, Assistant Professor, MET PGDM as well as Ms. Madhavi Bhurke Anavkar, Mr. Santosh wagh and Mr. Shridhar Patil.

MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MET PGDM) organised the panel discussion on \"Decoding the Union Budget 2023 Incentives For Startups & MSMEs\" under the aegis of PGDM Finance Club on 4th February 2023.

The panellists at the discussion were Mr. Pankaj Mathpal, Managing Director, Optima Money Managers, Mr. Mohit Gang, CEO & Co-founder, Moneyfront and CA Nitesh Buddhadev, Founder, Nimit Consultancy.

The first speaker Mr. Pankaj Mathpal shared his insights on the Union Budget 2023. He expressed that the Union Budget is the annual announcement by the government of India and described a key policy statement. Mr. Mohit Gang defined that Union Budget 2023 is the first Amrit Kal Budget. It outlined the government\'s expenditure, new tax regime and loan policies. Lastly, CA Nitesh Buddhadev enlightened students about the effectiveness of the Union budget for 2023. He spoke about the plans, economic development and evolution in India.

The key pointers covered in the panel discussion were the advantages of the old tax regime & new tax regime, the prospective growth of infrastructures, development in the GDP, how MSMEs will profit and government subsidies. The panel discussion ended with an interactive Q&A session with students. Indeed a wonderful learning experience for all the students.

The Students of the PGDM (e-Business) Batch 2020-2022 from MET Institute of PGDM received their qualifications at the Annual Convocation 2023 in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) organised a live screening of Union Budget 2023 on 1st February 2023 in the presence of CA. Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Deputy Director, MET PGDM and Prof. Mr. Kiran Rodrigues, Assistant Professor, MET PGDM, for the students.

Dr. Das and Mr. Rodrigues talked through how the Union Budget helps maintain economic fluctuations, why the budget is crucial for students and how it assures proper handling of inflation and deflation that carries economic stability.

The live screening was very informative and students gained deep knowledge about the Union Budget 2023.

MET Institute of Post Graduate Diploma in Management students made presentations on \'Consumer Behaviour’ under the guidance of Prof. Amey Palwankar on 28th January 2023. Students’ presentations illustrated the external factors of advertising influencing consumer perception and elaborated on every technique in detail giving outstanding examples.

Consumer perceptions are based on 4 external factors: Position, Repetition, Novelty and Movement. Students came up with different Brands like MDH, Google, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Zomato, Fog, Nirma, Bisleri etc. Students delved deeper through this activity into how consumer behaviour plays an essential role in overall marketing. Indeed an interesting learning exercise!

The second year PGDM (e-Business) students at MET specialising in Marketing successfully completed one month long live project with ‘Hopping Tails - A pet food company’ under the supervision of Dr. Suvrashis Sarkar, Associate Professor, MET Institute of PGDM.
The students made a detailed presentation consisting of Marketing Research, Competitor Mapping, Go to Market Ideas, Consumer Acceptance Research and presented the same to the company\'s management. Their diligent and sincere point of view and suggestions were not just well received but were also rewarded with cash and certificates of appreciation by the company’s MD himself.

MET Institute of PGDM started a ‘Marketing Club’ under the guidance of Associate Professor, Dr. Suvrashish Sarkar. This new initiative will cultivate the Marketing and develop PGDM students to become Marketing Leaders through interactive live workshops, marketing competitions, creative sessions and various practical activities beyond theoretical learning in the classroom.
The launch of PGDM Marketing Club was graced by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust in the presence of MET PGDM Faculty and students which was followed by the first workshop of the club by MET Alumni, Mr. Amit Agarwal, CEO, Brotard who shared key insights on Brand Management with students.
The function concluded with the award function of a week long contest on ‘How are brands important for you’ contest.

MET celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti, the 190th birth anniversary of Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee – MET, MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, and staff. A social reformer and revolutionary who still inspires millions, Savitribai Phule was a crusader for women empowerment as she broke all stereotypes and spent her life promoting the noble cause of women’s education.

MET Annual Convocation for PGDM e-Business batch 2016-18 batch was held on 9th March, 2019 in Convention Centre. Dr. Anil Khandelwal, Sr. Advisor - KPMG, India, Former Chairman & MD –Bank of Baroda was the chief guest.

Pragnyavant awards for scoring highest marks in various specializations were given at the hands of the chief guest. MET Ratna Award gave on MET Utsav culture night.

The MBA journey of our PGDM (e-Business) 2019-21 Batch students commenced this week with an outbound management trip to Uttan from 15^th to 17^th July 2019. Not only did the management games help break the ice but also has resulted in evoking a sense of team work, team building, empathy and coordination.
