Today, under the guidance of MET Trustees, a movie screening initiative was organised by MET HR Department. Approximately 300 MET Staff & Students watched the movie, ‘Satyashodhak’, a biographical journey through the life of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. A must watch inspiring film!

MET Institute of PGDM is thrilled to announce that PGDM 2023-25 batch student, Mr. Rushabh Dixit has secured 1st Position as ‘Best Student in Management’ at the prestigious 31st Business School Affaire & Dewang Mehta National Education Leadership Awards, held on 22nd November 2024 at Taj Lands End, Bandra.

Mr. Rushabh showcased exceptional talent and dedication, competing against students from Top B-schools across India, including NL Dalmia, ITM Kharghar, Indira Institute Pune, GNIMS, and EIILM Kolkata. His remarkable achievement earned him a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize!

Panel 2 at MET Srujan 2024 National Startup Conclave, led by Devesh as the moderator, engaged in insightful conversations with a diverse group. Participants included Mr. Uday Wankalwala, CEO of AIC, Mr. Chandrashekhar Bhide, Co-founder of Lithion Power Ltd, Mr. Dhanush representing the Wadhwani Group, and Mr. Parimal Sheth, Director of Kennis Global Solutions LLP.

The discussion covered common startup pitfalls, underscored the entrepreneurial potential across diverse backgrounds, emphasized understanding customer needs, advocated gaining market exposure before embarking on entrepreneurship, highlighted the value of peer learning and mentorship, discussed the significance of having a co-founder, and stressed that entrepreneurship knows no age limits.

Following the acknowledgment of panelists at MET Srujan 2024 National Startup Conclave, the panel divided into two groups. Panel 1, moderated by Devesh Chawla, Director of Chatur Ideas, included industry leaders like Leenesh Singh, Rohit Tulsan, CA Manoj Ajmera, and Sudip Mondal.

Mumbai Educational Trust launched its initiative ‘MET Incubation Centre’ on 9th November 2023. The grand inauguration was held in the hand of Mr. Erik af Hallstrom, Consul General, Consulate General of Finland, in the presence of Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee, Mumbai Educational Trust, Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, MET, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET Institute of Management, CA Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Director, MET Institute of PGDM, Dr. Farida Virani, Professor, MET IOM, as well as distinguished entrepreneurs, dignitaries and esteemed faculty members.

The MET Incubation Centre has been designed to nurture entrepreneurial spirit and innovation amongst the students. This dynamic hub will serve as a launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with invaluable resources, mentorship & networking opportunities while inspiring many to embark on the journey of entrepreneurship.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship took the spotlight at MET Institute of PGDM! Students recently showcased their entrepreneurial spirit in a Business Idea Competition that began on September 15, 2023. Judges Manvendra Singh, Entrepreneur and Angel Investor, and Hrushikesh Kulkarni, XM Scientist, Zil Consulting, evaluated ingenious concepts centered around sustainable products with at least 80% paper content. \"Eco-Sound\" won first place with an acoustic soundproof panel, \"Eco-Den\" took the first runner-up spot with a desk organizer, and \"Plantable Seed Paper\" claimed the second runner-up prize for their ingenious seed paper creation. This competition was a platform where dreams met determination, with the potential for these ideas to become successful ventures in the near future. It wasn\'t just about innovation; it was a valuable learning experience for all involved.

MET Institute of PGDM concluded the Business Idea Competition on September 16, 2023, emphasizing environmentally friendly products. Judges Hrushikesh Kulkarni and Manvendra Singh provided valuable feedback to 12 teams. \'Lakshavedi\' emerged as the victor with \'News Wallpaper,\' \'Bins & Co\' secured first runner-up with a \'Disposable Dustbin,\' and \'Kaagaz\' claimed second runner-up with a \'Laundry Basket.\' The judges commended all participants for their creativity and contributions to sustainability.
