On August 8th, 2023, the third-year students of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) received a talk from their esteemed alumnus, Mr. Pranay Pawar, who currently holds the position of Senior Manager Technical Training at Health Recon Connect. With a wealth of expertise spanning over 16 years in ITES/Healthcare/Quality Improvement and possessing a Green Belt certification, Mr. Pawar shared insightful guidance.

He shed light on potential career pathways that open up after completing a B Pharm degree, with a special focus on patient and insurance management, medical coding, drug safety and surveillance. Drawing from his own experiences at Cognizant and UnitedHealth Group, he offered valuable insights into potential job roles and strategies for enhanced productivity.

Furthermore, Mr. Pawar delved into the operational aspects of pharmacy in the United States, ranging from patient care and health insurance management to addressing patient inquiries, revenue collection from insurance providers and the challenges he encountered. He highlighted the solutions that were devised to overcome these challenges.

Towards the conclusion of his talk, Mr. Pawar shared tips on how students can prepare themselves for the industry. He stressed the importance of building a professional network, pursuing certification courses such as Lean Sigma Green Belt and project management and provided guidance on exploring various roles and companies. This comprehensive perspective empowered students to consider diverse career avenues, including operations, talent acquisition and project management, as they chart their future career trajectories.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) on 9th September 2023, organized an Industrial Visit at Glumex Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Private Limited, Vasai. The visit was attended by final year B. Pharm students, accompanied by Dr. Vijaya Patil, Ms. Manjiri Shinde and Mrs. Aushima Dasari. During the visit, the students gained valuable hands-on experience by exploring various key departments within the company, including Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, Stores and Packaging. Additionally, the students had the opportunity to observe the operation and maintenance of stability chambers. Overall, this visit proved to be an enlightening and insightful experience, and the students expressed their gratitude to Mr. Apurva Shah, an alumnus and the Managing Director of Glumex Pharmaceuticals, for enabling them to delve into the practical aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Bandoo Chhagan Chatale, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, IOP (Degree), was a mentor for the three days’ workshop titled \"Computer Aided Drug Design in Taste Masking” organized by Nano Science and Technology Consortium (NSTC), Noida-201301, U.P., India from 24th to 26th June 2023 via google meet platform.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organised a Guest Lecture on 24 January, 2023. The subject was ‘Adaptability & Flexibility’ by the Alumni, Mr. Audumber Nikude, Assistant Manager, Training & Development, Impact Guru Tech. Ventures Pvt. Ltd.

The speaker informed the students how adaptability helps in pursuing a career on the field. Practically, the work environment is challenging and it often reveals how a person interacts with colleagues. Mr. Audumber further explained how essential it is to develop logical and problem solving skills to adjust short-term change quickly and calmly and to deal with unexpected issues effectively.

The life skill-based training program was designed and delivered by GTT Foundation supported by Barclays Bank under their CSR initiative to develop and enhance the specific employability skills of existing MET IOP (Diploma) second year students. The program consisted of the initial training on life skills for 2 days (20th & 21st March). Students learnt a lot from the Mentor Tushar Sarvagod & the Co-ordinator Ayyaj Shaikh.

Overall, it was a great learning experience for the students.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) first year students had an elaborate First Aid training session at Lilavati Hospital on 6th March 2023. Ms. Rita D\'Souza-ICU Coordinator & Ms. Vaishali Waghmare -Staff Development coordinator took time off from their busy schedule & conducted such a wonderful informative session for MET IOP (Diploma) students.

During CPR training, students practiced some skills on a human-like model or manikin. Such training included opening the airways and performing chest compression as well.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) conducted a workshop on - \"Paralegal Volunteer Training Programme\" in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority i.e DLSA and Global Care Foundation from 16th to 19th January 2023. The workshop was organized by the DLLE Coordinators Dr. Vijaya Patil, Ms. Vrushali Keer and Ms. Sindhu Menon.

The objective of the workshop was to create a legal consciousness and spread awareness about legal rights.The invited speakers were Adv. Vasant Bhanage, Adv. Shahnawaz Pathan, Adv. Sohail Sharif, Adv. Reecha Khajuria, Adv. Aileen Marques, Adv. Hafsa Khan, Prof. Rukaiya Joshi, Adv. Seema Adate.

Various topics such as Domestic Violence Act, Pre-Conception & Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act, Government Schemes, Juvenile Justice Act were covered.

The training program consisted of a field visit to Byculla Prison, Nagpada Police Station and Gurgaon Court to understand the working and proceedings of the same as well.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) conducted a workshop on ‘Creative Thinking’ for its Institute staff. The MET Centre of Educational Technology (MET CET) department planned the same.
The workshop provided participants an opportunity to showcase their creativity and ideation which resulted in awesome artifacts. The activity was filled with enthusiasm and gave a boost to all the participants.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) arranged a one day training program for MET students on ‘Application of Chromatographic and Mass Spectrometric Instrumental Techniques in Pharmaceuticals’ on 29th September 2022 at Bombay College of Pharmacy. The training program was designed to give firsthand practical experience using Analytical techniques.
The training began with an overview of all the instruments and techniques. Students were demonstrated the usage of instruments using the principles of techniques. The training covered HPTLC, HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS-MS, ICP-MS, ATR and FTIR.
The program was an opportunity for students to understand the practical aspects of applying theoretical knowledge while interacting with professionals to discuss their queries.

The Lady Tata Memorial Trust sponsored MET Institute of Pharmacy Faculty Development Workshop titled; ‘Trends and tools in Pharmaceutical Education and Research’ was held from 18th to 23rd November 2019. MET Institute of Management celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21^st June 2019. Acharya Sharda Bubna along with yoga trainers Ms. Trupti Vaidya and Ms. Sangeeta Khana conducted the yoga workshop at MET Convention Centre. The program was well attended by directors, faculty, staff and students of MET. Young students of MET Rishikul Vidyalaya, the Cambridge School, also attended the program.
