He has been appointed as an Honorary Member of the Technical Advisory Council of The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards (NCSS).
The NCSS plays a pivotal role in fortifying the nation’s digital infrastructure, protecting against emerging cyber threats, and ensuring a secure and resilient virtual environment. Mr. Bhalerao’s appointment to this prestigious position is a testament to his exemplary contributions and expertise in the field of cybersecurity.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) was privileged to host our alumni, Mr. Faisal Patel (currently pursuing his degree at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences), for an enlightening guest lecture on 22nd August 2025.
He shared valuable insights on Eligibility & Documentation, Financial Planning, Visa, and Licensing, guiding our second-year students aspiring to study or work abroad. His practical advice and motivating words inspired students to dream big and prepare with confidence for a global career in pharmacy.

Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years.
Convened by Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni, Head, MET Incubation Centre, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean, MET Incubation Centre, the session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem.
The collaborative discussion will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.
MET extends sincere thanks to all Heads of Institutions (HOIs), Heads of Departments (HODs), and Incubation Faculty SPOCs for their enthusiastic participation and continued support in fostering entrepreneurship.
Alumni Interaction - Mr. Jaydeep Kolape, Ms. Deepti Mazumdar and Mr. Analesh Desai

The alumni interaction held on 10th January ‘25 at MET Institute of Pharmacy, provided an inspiring session for students. Mr.Jaydeep Kolape (MBA, Manager of Microscopy Center), shared his professional journey. He detailed his work with Johnson & Johnson’s Lifestyle Division, particularly on glucometer research, and emphasized the importance of exploring global opportunities in research.
Joining him were alumni Ms. Deepti Mazumdar (CEO, Halewood Laboratory) and Mr. Analesh Desai (Director, Viva Test Research and Development Pvt. Ltd.) who spoke about entrepreneurship and their experiences in research labs, including formulation development and operational challenges. Ms. Deepti stressed that manufacturing success requires more than pricing strategies, perseverance and consistency play a pivotal role.
The session also included advice on building self-confidence and maintaining resilience to overcome obstacles. A lively Q&A followed, allowing students to engage directly with the speakers, gaining valuable insights into research and entrepreneurial success.

MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma) organized a guest lecture for the final year students on ‘‘Career guidance for Higher Education post Diploma in Pharmacy.\" The lecture was conducted by Alumni Ms. Avani Khunt,studying in Ireland, where she is currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology at Technological University of Shannon.
