5 days Capacity Building Program

MET Institute of Management in collaboration with Society of Design Thinking Professional (STDP) conducted a 5 days Capacity Building Program \"How to use Design Thinking for Teaching Learning Processes\" for the school teachers at Rahul International School from April 25 to 30, 2024.
A diverse panel of educators, experts, and professionals facilitated the sessions across the 5 days MDP, including Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM, Dr. Manmeet Barve, Associate Professor, MET IOM, Dr. Vinay Prabhu, Expert Psychologist, Dr. Jimmy Jain, Founder & CEO, Society of Design Thinking Professional, Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head, MET CET, Ms. Zoya Natterwala, Prototyping Expert, SDTP, and MET IOM Team - Mr. Sandesh Akre, Dr. Rohini Andhare, Ms. Dharmishtha Gala & Ms. Ria Patnaik.
The MDP focused on helping the teachers understand and take the concept of Design Thinking into their classroom to make classes more learner centric.
Through the various tools and techniques of design thinking such as creation of empathy maps, design briefs, rubrics creation, divergent and convergent thinking, the teachers created unique solutions that could be used in the classrooms across various subjects.
The participants enjoyed the five-day program, found it meaningful and provided a positive feedback to the facilitators while thanking the management, Mr. Yigal S. Banker, Principal, Rahul International School and Ms. Joyce Britto, Vice-Principal, Rahul International School for organizing the capacity building program.
