MET Institute of Computer Science conducted a workshop on ‘Research Paper Writing’ for the MCA students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head - MET CET.

Dr. Chitra started the session with an overview of the significance of research writing. The workshop was effective in educating the students on important factors to take into account while organising the composition of their research paper.

MET Institute of Computer Science organised an Intellectual Property Rights Awareness Program as part of the National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission on December 29, 2022 in accordance with the guidelines of AICTE Students Association of Computer Applications(SACA).

The program was conducted by Patent examiner K.Narayanamurthy , Designs Patent office Mumbai, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Govt. of India. IPR was briefly explained to aspiring IT professionals by the speaker.

Students and Faculties received IPR certificates from the Government of India.

Overall, it was an informative workshop and a great learning experience for the MCA students.

Prof. Omprakash Mandge, Course Coordinator, MET ICS and MET ISDR, recently conducted an engaging session on Advanced Flutter during a Workshop on Mobile Programming at Vidyalankar School of Information Technology.

He enlightened over 80 faculty members from various BSc IT Colleges of Mumbai University on cutting-edge approaches for state management, navigation, and database management using Flutter.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) conducted a workshop on ‘Creative Thinking’ for its Institute staff. The MET Centre of Educational Technology (MET CET) department planned the same.
The workshop provided participants an opportunity to showcase their creativity and ideation which resulted in awesome artifacts. The activity was filled with enthusiasm and gave a boost to all the participants.

MET Institute of Computer Science organised a workshop on ‘Intellectual Property Rights for IT Professionals\' on 17th June 2022. The Workshop was conducted by IPR expert Dr. Suvrashish Sarkar, Associate Professor, MET Institute of PGDM.

The Speaker Dr. Sarkar gave an overview of IPR to budding IT professionals. Students understood the essentials of Intellectual Property Rights in the field of Information Technology. The workshop was very informative and well received by the MCA students.

MET Institute of Computer Science with the approval of Adhoc Board of studies, MCA, Mumbai University hosted a two-day Faculty Development Program on Network Analysis using NS3 and Wireshark on 8th and 9th May 2021. The program started with an inaugural speech by Dr Abhijit Banubakode, Principal - MET Institute of Computer Science, followed by an address by Dr Pooja Raundale, Chairman - Adhoc Board of studies, MCA, Mumbai University.

The main resource person of the FDP Prof Nisha Somani, Assistant Professor - SVIT Gujarat Technological University conducted a hands-on session on NS3, Visualizer & NetAnim and patiently solved all the doubts of the participants. Adding value to it, Dr Nirbhay Chaubey, Dean - Ganpat University, Gujarat guided the participants on Wireshark and different ways of using it to do network analysis. The Faculty Development Program was well attended by teachers from leading MCA institutes affiliated to the Mumbai University.

MET Institute of Computer Science, a top MCA College in Mumbai, conducts regular guest lectures to equip the MCA students with latest industry knowledge and technical updates. To prepare students for their future career in the industry, MET ICS recently organised a guest session on ‘Angular 7 Technology’. Conducted by MET alumnus Jaspreet Kaur Matharu, students got an insight on the importance of Angular 7 Technology through live demonstrations and hands on assignments. The session was well received by students as it gave them an outlook of industry level technologies.

Prof. Harshali Patil, Associate Professor of MET-Institute of Computer Science conducted “Faculty Development Programme” on “E-Content development for effective teaching” at SIES (Nerul) college. She highlighted the importance of digital learning by giving demonstration of various tools/app for creating, editing, uploading videos and assignment. The FDP programme received an overwhelming response and the tips provided by her were helpful to enhance Teaching Skills.

MET Institute of Management celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21^st June 2019. Acharya Sharda Bubna along with yoga trainers Ms. Trupti Vaidya and Ms. Sangeeta Khana conducted the yoga workshop at MET Convention Centre. The program was well attended by directors, faculty, staff and students of MET. Young students of MET Rishikul Vidyalaya, the Cambridge School, also attended the program.

In order to increase the computer literacy, MCA students of MET Institute of Computer Science students organized a \"Computer Awareness Programme\" for the under privileged children studying in BMC school on July 28, 2018. Encompassing activities like text typing, coloring and math puzzles etc, the programme familiarized these 4^th graders with the basics of computer. Hands-on experience made them inquisitive and wanting to learn more. It’s been a good societal initiative indeed!
