SDP on Interview Skills

MET Institute of Computer Science organised a Student Development Program focusing on ‘Interview Skills’ for MCA students on March 22, 2024. The session was conducted by Ms. Purnima Vibhandik, Ex Deputy Vice President- HR, HDFC Bank Ltd.
During the session, Ms. Purnima imparted strategies for tackling common interview questions, refining self-presentation, and boosting confidence. Practical exercises and mock interview sessions were conducted to provide personalised feedback and hands-on experience to the students. The aim of this SDP was to equip students with robust interview skills, thereby enhancing their prospects for internships, job placements, and career opportunities.
Ms. Purnima empowered students to effectively showcase themselves, differentiate from competitors, and leave a lasting impact on potential employers.

MET Institute of Computer Science conducted Placement Edge Week from 30th June to 5th July 2025 for MCA students of Semester 3, preparing them for the upcoming placement season.
The week featured expert-led sessions, including General Aptitude training by Expert Trainer & Coach Ms. Divya Dixit, and Python and PL/SQL coaching by Mr. Akshay Iyer, Software Engineer, Asian Paints. Mr. Naresh Konga, an entrepreneur, shared insights on the IT industry, while Mr. Huzaifa Dhapai, Founder of Webverge, introduced Generative AI. Ms. Nidhi Sawant, Analyst at Tech Mahindra covered essential technical skills, and Mr. Shyam Bhavsar, Senior Software Engineer at NASDAQ guided students on starting out in IT.
The program empowered students with industry-relevant knowledge and confidence.

In today’s fast-paced and demanding lifestyle, it is essential to be aware of simple yet effective ways to care for our health.
On 26th September 2025, the MET HR Department organized a special health awareness workshop \"Thoda Gyaan, Thodi Muskaan\", designed to guide staff on handling medical emergencies and adopting preventive measures for overall well-being.
The session was conducted by renowned physician Dr. Tushar Shah, who combined practical health tips with lighthearted humor, making learning both insightful and engaging.
Through such initiatives, MET continues to prioritize the holistic welfare of its community.
Game-Based Learning in Action – Day 4 of FDP

MET CET successfully conducted an insightful workshop on “Game-Based Learning†on Day 4 of the ongoing 5-Day FDP Workshop Series, facilitated by Dr. Ajita Deshmukh.
The session encouraged MET teachers to explore unstructured teaching by designing games that were interactive, participatory, and enjoyable for students. It reinforced the belief that when learning feels like play, education becomes more engaging and impactful.
At MET, we continue to empower our faculty with innovative teaching methodologies that inspire both educators and learners.
Session on Agentic AI & LLM

Prof. Omprakash Mandge, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Computer Science was invited by the Department of MSc. Big Data Analytics, Jai Hind College, for an Expert Session on \"Agentic AI & LLM\" on 8th August 2025. Prof. Mandge explained how to create an AI-enabled bot and conducted a hands-on session where students learned to optimize resumes using Ollama.
The session blended concepts, coding, and practical demos, giving participants a powerful understanding of how Agentic AI and LLMs can be applied to real-world tasks. Students left with new skills, inspiration, and the curiosity to explore further in the world of AI.
