72nd Republic Day Celebrations

The 72nd Republic Day was celebrated on January 26, 2021 at MET to honour the day on which the Constitution of India came into effect. The event began with unfurling of the Indian National Flag by Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee – MET in presence of MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, and staff. MET echoed with patriotic fervour as MRV students and faculty presented an instrumental performance, a patriotic song rendition and speech to mark the occasion.
The highlight of the event was the ‘I Live Simply’ initiative by MRV, wherein MET family pledged to plant more saplings and take up composting and biodegradation of waste on Institute’s premises.
74th Independence Day Celebration

MET celebrated India\'s 74th Independence Day while maintaining social-distancing protocol. The celebration was filled with patriotic spirit, honouring the countless sacrifices of the nation\'s brave hearts who laid down their lives for the freedom of our country. The ceremony constituted unfurling of Tricolor, followed by singing of national anthem, and an Independence Day address by Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee - MET.
71st Republic Day Celebrations

The Republic Day is celebrated in the honour of the day when India\'s Constitution was signed and India was declared a republic on 26th January, 1950. MET and MRV celebrated the day with patriotic fervour, hoisting the Tricolour and singing the National Anthem. Hon. Trustee Pankaj Bhujbal and Dr. Vijay Page, Director General - MET Institute of Management addressed the students on the occasion in the presence of MET Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, staff, students and parents.
As an ode to the spirit of India, MRV Dance Club presented a unique act of Unity through their beautiful rendition of contemporary, semi-classical and hip-hop fusion. The Tricolour coded dancers brought out the sense of integrity in India’s diversity with their power packed performance on the Republic Day. METizens multiplied the spirit of the celebrations by presenting songs about the pride of India.
Alumni Meet 2019

The Alumni Meet 2019 of MET Institute of Computer Science was held amidst great fanfare. It was heart-warming to witness the alumni meet their friends faculty & principal; some after nearly ten years!
The evening programme took off with an impromptu session asking the alumni about some of their best memories and the emotion on visiting their alma mater after a long gap. After the lighting of the lamp and rendition of the Saraswati Vandana; the principal Dr. Abhijit Banubakode welcomed the gathering. The ex-principal Dr. Sunita Mahajan expressed her happiness on meeting with the alumni.
The high point of the evening was a live Facebook video call with the alumni who couldn\'t make it to the programme. A fun event was conducted wherein the alumni were divided into groups along with a faculty and asked to envision the future of MET-ICS. The suggestions received were extremely helpful and the principal concluded the evening with the highlights of which of these suggestions were feasible.

Independence Day 2019 was celebrated at MET with great enthusiasm and pride to mark the 73 years of Independent India. Indian Flag Hoisting was followed by enthusiastic and power-packed performances by the students and staff of MET Institutes including MET Rishikul Vidyalaya. The glorious celebration included mesmerizing patriotic songs that narrated the stories of bravery and selflessness sacrifice. The energetic dances and performances by MET Rishikul Vidyalaya students displayed the unwavering determination of Indian freedom fighters for the motherland. The occasion was graced by the MET Trustees, Directors, Principals, HODs, faculty, staff, students and parents.
Rules Will Break Rules! What Will You Do? – An Interactive session

MET organized a Guest Talk by Mr. Sunil Lulla, Group CEO, Balaji Telefilms Ltd for the Students, Faculties, Staff of MET as a part of its 30 years celebration of MET academic excellence, Mr. Lulla addressed the houseful audience on the topic ‘Rules Will Break Rules! What Will You Do?’ This interactive, knowledge sharing question & answer session on industry, OTT, Media World was met with utmost enthusiasm and inspiration amongst all the METizens. The session helped Students to comprehend vision board and its importance to stay on course of life and it also highlighted that how deviations from what you want to do is good at times to arrive at a successful road map.
Holi celebration

Established in 1989, MET is celebrating 30 glorious years of Academic Excellence. The celebrations continued with all the MET Institutes and School getting together on the occasion of Holi, one of the most joyful and vibrant festivals in India. The staff and students showered each other with flower petals and brightly coloured powders of pink, yellow, blue and green. The Holi celebration took place with a lot of joy and verve throughout the MET campus.

Cyber Vigilance

To prepare students to be cautious of digital attacks, MET Institute of Computer Science (MCA) hosted a guest lecture on Cyber Security by Ms. Purnima Ahirao and Ms. Deepti Patole, the renowned faculty member from KJ Somaiya College.
The session provided in depth knowledge of high profile incidences related to hacking and other cyber security issues prevalent in today’s digital society. MCA Students were made to understand the realities of espionage within the industry and how they should remain vigilant in the near future. The event depicted the seriousness of cyber security infiltrations.
Say No To Plastic

MET Institute of Computer Science SY-MCA students hosted Street Play event on July 23, 2018 and performed a brilliant satire on the topic of “Plastic Banâ€. It was a perfect platform which cultivated a keen interest on the topic of plastic ban and why should we promote this planet saving cause.
The street play was concluded with a thoughtful slogan “Love, Care and Nurture Environmentâ€, in order to be a country which leads by an example and be a sovereign among others.
Independence Day Celebrations

August 15, 1947, was the day when the tricolor was raised and Independent India emerged. It has been a revolutionary period of more than 71 years for India since the nation became independent from colonial rule. This auspicious day was celebrated with great fervor at MET and MRV. This patriotic occasion was graced by renowned theatre and film personality Ms. Rohini Hattangadi. MET Trustees, Directors, Principals and HODs with students, staff and parents delved into the spirit of patriotism as they watched the performances through dances, speeches and role-plays.

Unique & Magnanimous Annual Fest
Though the grand annual cultural and sports fest of MET was celebrated on February 01 & 02, 2018, yet the celebration was in the air for weeks in advance. It’s the time of the year when all the MET Institutes and school come together sans hierarchy and cadres. Hundreds of students enthusiastically participated in the 2 days long celebration. MET Utsav 2018 was preceded by the MET Talent Show where extraordinary vocal, instrumental and showmanship was demonstrated by METizens.
Dramatic theme dance with matching props marked the Inaugration of the celebration. It was followed by opening of MET Creative Exhibition at the hands of Shri Pankaj Bhujbal, Trustee, MET. The creative gallery exhibited some of the most beautiful paintings, photographs, artifacts and other art-forms. February 01, 2018 was also the MET Annual Sports Meet which witnessed massive participation of MET- students and staff displaying the sportsmanship as they engaged and challenged one another in indoor and outdoor games. At the end of the day, individual champions and winning teams were rewarded, they were also allocated points, highest accumulated points entitle the team to win the annual running trophy – MET Vikram.
The flawless cultural nite had to its background weeks of tireless perspiring preparation by students and staff. Professional choreographers and mentors were roped in to train the students to put up grand magnificent dances, well synchronised and mesmerizing aerial performances which kept the audiences engrossed and on the seat’s edge till the last minute. Showcasing energy and talent MET students performed extra ordinary feats with such ease that it was hard to believe that they were not professional stage performers. During the celebration MET family also celebrated the academic achievements by bestowing the MET Ratna Awards on toppers. Scintillating fashion show was based on the fusion of colours that was highly appreciated. Overall a great celebration that justified the fitting theme of MET Utsav 2018 – Perform to Transform.
