MET AMDC signed a MOU with London Institute of Banking and Finance

MET Asian Management Development Centre (AMDC) signed a MOU with London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) on 18th May 2023. This increases the scope of specialization for the autonomous PGP EMBA course being conducted by MET AMDC.
Now students interested and inclined towards pursuing Banking and Finance as a
career will get empowered with the latest tools and techniques that are globally
dynamic in nature. With every certification received from LIBF, students will get a
global qualification that is recognized worldwide. They will also automatically become
members of LIBF and receive support for continuous Professional Development. On
successful completion the students will be awarded a Digital Badge by LIBF for
Progression and Professional Recognition.
A student of finance can pursue a course with LIBF alongwith a MBA from MET
AMDC i.e. dual certification from two reputed Institutes. AMDC will start with the foundations
of Digital Finance and Innovation Course and shall conclude in the fourth semester
with a specialization in Fintech (CFP) or Banking (IBCA). Having attended the
Certified Fintech Practitioner (CFP) or IBCA in Banking, the students will become
lifelong learners with LIBF and can also have digital access to the online Journal
‘Financial World’.
MET AMDC proposes to offer these courses even to MET Alumni who are
professionally placed in Banking and Finance Sector and who aspire to upskill to
new developments, technology and certifications, that are recognized qualifications
worldwide. Depending upon the level of their tenure in the Industry, scholarship will
be offered too. What an amazing opportunity to gain a recognized credential to
financial capability, innovation and professional development.

MET Asian Management Development Centre hosted an extremely intriguing faculty meet on 5th July 2025, comprising seasoned industry experts who form the core faculty and bring their rich expertise and experience to the institute.
Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC, set the tone with her gracious address by introducing Bhujbal Knowledge City’s MET League of Colleges and highlighting the rich legacy of three decades through MET AMDC.
Dr. Tandon acknowledged and thanked the faculty for their contribution to syllabus updation, live projects, and placement opportunities, calling the team the backbone of the institution. She emphasized that the synergy between industry and academia is crucial for empowering students with relevant skills for professional life.
The session was further elevated by Prof. Arun Patil, Dean, MET AMDC, who shared sharp insights on the role of faculty as influencers and the importance of discipline throughout the course. He also stressed the guided use of technology as a tool for education and career building.
The house was then opened for discussion, debate, and suggestions, followed by a sumptuous meal. It was an excellent platform for engagement, creating vibrancy and energy for the upcoming academic season.

The Alumni Interaction session at Aarohan 2025 emerged as a highlight, reflecting MET AMDC’s strong corporate and industry connections that support holistic student development. Esteemed alumni from diverse sectors shared their professional journeys, offering the incoming batch practical insights and actionable career guidance.
The distinguished panel featured Mr. Abhishek Seth, AVP – Risk and Control Officer at Barclays; Ms. Arti Talreja, Senior Manager – HR at Aditya Birla Real Estate Ltd.; Ms. Alisha Shamim, Deputy Manager at Tribeca Developers; Ms. Safa Rais, Sales Executive at Taj Lands End; and Ms. Shikha Jethwani, Assistant Marketing Manager at Globonic Technology Pvt. Ltd. Their candid discussions extended beyond classroom knowledge, addressing industry expectations, real-world challenges, and the shifting dynamics of their fields.
Key themes that resonated with students included adaptability, continuous learning, networking, and the importance of soft skills. The speakers further emphasized resilience and ethical leadership as defining attributes for success in today’s competitive corporate environment.

Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years.
Convened by Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni, Head, MET Incubation Centre, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean, MET Incubation Centre, the session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem.
The collaborative discussion will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.

The evening began on a delightful note with the inauguration and cake-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC, along with proud MET alumni. Her inspiring words and gracious presence set the perfect tone for an evening dedicated to celebrating achievements, cherishing memories, and strengthening the lifelong bonds of the MET family.
