MET PGDM Alumni Committee organised an Alumni Interaction session on 28th January 2023 with MET PGDM 2015-17 batch Alumni Mr. Aprit Beriwal, Technical and Derivative Analyst, CMT, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd. He was felicitated by CA. Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Deputy Director, MET PGDM and Prof. CA. Seema Korgaonkar, Assistant Professor.

The session began with Mr. Arpit talking about his experience in Motilal Oswal. He has a remarkable experience in derivatives markets being a Derivative Technical Analyst. He further delivered insights on NIFTY, profitable sectors for investment and an introduction to technical analysis, how the mutual fund is essential, what is SIP, why we should opt for SIP and what is the cash segment and derivatives segment. He explained the Derivatives part by giving an example of a T20 cricket match. Mr. Arpit represented finance in just 2 words - \"Risk\" and \"Reward\".

Some most significant key points discussed in the session were what is SEBI, how finance is a crucial element of all the domains, why equity investment is essential, what are derivatives, what are commodities, how future trading is conducted, option buyer vs option seller, what is cash/future/options trading and what are some necessary lessons for derivatives markets.

As the session ended, Mr. Arpit advised students of MET PGDM to \'Take Calculated Risk\'. He was given a token of appreciation by CA. Dr. Shyamsundar Das, Prof. Dr. Nisha Tatkar, Prof. Kiran Rodrigues and Prof. Seema Korgaonkar.
