MET Institute of PGDM organised an ‘Industrial Visit to Vasai’ on 10 April 2023 with a first year batch in 4 groups
led by 4 different Faculties.
The industrial visit was a great opportunity for students to learn about the different aspects of the manufacturing
process. They were able to see how raw materials are turned into finished products, and they also learned about the
quality control measures that are in place to ensure that the products meet the highest standards.
The students visited four different companies:
- Quick Industrial Suppliers is a mechanical engineering manufacturing company that specializes in the production of tractor parts. The company has been in business for over 35 years, and it supplies its products to a number of major companies, including Mahindra.
- Altra Industries is a manufacturer of whiteboards and noticeboards. The company has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, and it uses the latest technology to produce its products.
- Autocal Solutions is a calibration and validation company. The company provides a wide range of services to its clients, including the calibration of instruments, the validation of processes, and the testing of food, water, and air.
- Aarna Kitchen is a manufacturer of modular furniture. The company has a wide range of products to choose from, and it offers a variety of customization options.
Faculty professors present in this field visit were Dr. Suvrashis Sarkar, Associate Professor, MET Institute of PGDM, Dr Nisha Tatkar, Associate Professor, MET Institute of PGDM, Prof. Amey Palwankar, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of PGDM, Prof. Vaibhav Kulkarni, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of PGDM and all were assisted by visiting faculty Mr. Mangesh Pawar.
The students were very impressed with the companies they visited. They learned a lot about the manufacturing process, and they also gained a better understanding of the different types of businesses that are operating in the area.
The industrial visit was a valuable learning experience for the students. It gave them a first-hand look at the different aspects of the manufacturing process and it also helped them to network with professionals in the industry. Overall it was a great success and it provided students with a valuable learning experience.

MET Incubation Centre hosted ‘Alumni Entrepreneurship Round Table’, uniting alumni with entrepreneurial experience across MET Institutes and graduating years.
Convened by Dr. Vaishali Kulkarni, Head, MET Incubation Centre, and Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean, MET Incubation Centre, the session focused on a rich exchange of ideas and insights to strengthen the campus startup and innovation ecosystem.
The collaborative discussion will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic plan, startup roadmap, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming academic year. A key takeaway from the round table was the proposal to form an Alumni Mentor Pool — aimed at providing structured guidance and mentorship to student-led ventures.
MET extends sincere thanks to all Heads of Institutions (HOIs), Heads of Departments (HODs), and Incubation Faculty SPOCs for their enthusiastic participation and continued support in fostering entrepreneurship.
MET Alumni Meet – Canada Chapter Inauguration

The MET Alumni Meet - Canada Chapter held on Saturday, 30th August 2025 in Mississauga, Canada with immense joy and enthusiasm. The evening began on a delightful note with the inauguration and cake-cutting ceremony led by Dr. Sangeeta Tandon, Director, MET AMDC, along with proud MET alumni. Her inspiring words and gracious presence set the perfect tone for an evening dedicated to celebrating achievements, cherishing memories, and strengthening the lifelong bonds of the MET family.
This symbolic inauguration beautifully reflected the spirit of togetherness that defines MET. It was a reminder of the connections that transcend time and distance, uniting alumni across the globe under the shared legacy of being a proud Metizen.

Dare to Dream: Inspiring Leadership

MET Institute of PGDM proudly hosted the inspiring session Dare to Dream on 28th November 2024, featuring visionary entrepreneurs Mr. Harsh Soni and Ms. Smitha Soni from TeamNgage. Organized by the Alumni Cell and IIC, the session introduced the powerful ECG Dashboard Framework for Leadership, which emphasizes setting clear expectations, communicating effectively, and fostering collaboration with accountability. Through heartfelt stories from their entrepreneurial journey, the duo inspired students to view problems as opportunities for growth, highlighting that solving challenges leads to breakthroughs and success.
The Dare to Dream session left the audience energized and motivated to embrace challenges with a growth mindset. Mr. and Ms. Soni’s message that \"giving up is never an option\" resonated deeply, encouraging future leaders to dream big and lead with purpose.
