IQAC and Alumni cell as part of a webinar series of career guidance organized a talk of alumna, Ms. Shweta Nagwekar on 28th June 2020 on the topic “Career prospects in Drug regulatory affairs in the USAâ€. Ms. Shweta graduated in 2009 and pursued MS in regulatory affairs and executive MBA in the USA. She has over 6 years of experience in regulatory affairs. Currently, she working as Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs CMC at Amgen, West Greenwich, RI, USA. During her talk, Ms. Shweta focused on higher studies in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the USA. She explained the steps to be taken for pursuing your studies abroad. She narrated the role of regulatory affairs in the pharma industry, medical devices, career opportunities for regulatory affairs- how to search, what steps are critical were elaborated and all questions were answered elaborately.

Dr. Bandoo Chhagan Chatale, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, MET Institute of Pharmacy delivered a research presentation on \'Glucose-responsive Insulin patch to combat Diabetes\' at Parul Institute of Pharmacy & Research, Parul University, Gujrat, India via zoom platform on 6th September 2022 at 02:30 pm.
The presentation encompassed the formulation of a novel microneedle patch with sensors for glucose detection. The new delivery system is a wearable compact small device with the application of Artificial Intelligence. The formulation consists of a compact device for quick and accurate sensitive determination of glucose levels in Diabetic patients. The sensor is equipped to detect the glucose level in the blood and release the required dose of insulin to the patient.

The Innovation Cell and IQAC of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organised a webinar titled, Undergraduate Research Projects: Strategic Ways of Implementation†on 18th January 2021. The idea behind the webinar was to educate undergraduate students on the proper ways of carrying out a research project. The speaker, Mr. Amit Lokhande is AICTE/MHRD’s IIC – Innovation Ambassador, Government of India and has received many awards during his PhD tenure. He is especially known for his expertise in mentoring undergraduate research projects. He emphasized that research should not merely be a learning process but should produce outcomes that contribute to the welfare of the society. Through his unique style of presentation that involved diagrams, pictures and videos, and apt examples he made Research look easy. He enlightened the student about the research area, computer aided drug discovery and his very own 6Q strategy. All benefited from it immensely.

The Innovation Cell and IQAC of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) organised a webinar titled, “Student Innovations and Journey of Business Idea†on 25th January 2021. The webinar was organized to help students understand the importance of Innovation and how to scale up their ideas and turn them to successful businesses. Mr. Amit Lokhande who is AICTE/MHRD’s IIC – Innovation Ambassador, Government of India, was the speaker. He not only managed to capture the attention of the audience and got them thinking about the ways to become the CEO of their own ideas. He shared his journey of the product PREGA-VET, the obstacles he faced. He explained the benefits, myths about business ideas, entry barriers, planning well and various funding avenues. All the doubts were answered promptly with practical experience. The webinar proved to be a thought provoking session hopefully resulting in many more budding entrepreneurs.
