Learning is effective when theoretical knowledge is accompanied by practical experience. An Industrial visit for the Final year students was organised on 23rd March, 2019, at Brucke Pharma Private Limited located at Daman. The industry specializes in manufacturing of oncology products particularly – liquid and lyophilized injections, tablets and capsules. It provided an overview of the major pharmaceutical departments and the functioning of each (The manufacturing unit, engineering, microbiology, quality control and quality assurance department). The facility has automated equipment, containment isolators, packaging, stability testing labs and controlled storage and warehouse area. The working of machines such as granulators, fluidized bed dryer, compression machine and lyophilizer was explained. High quality standards and safety measures are adopted at every level and even the safety of students was ensured. It was an interactive session where doubts were cleared and a new perspective of understanding the processes was attained.
