The MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) under the aegis of IQAC & IIC, in collaboration with the Goa Centre for Excellence in Intellectual Property, successfully hosted a Professional Advancement Program (PAP) on Patent and Beyond – Role of IPR on 29th September 2025.

The insightful session, convened by Dr. Abha Doshi, Principal, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) and coordinated by Dr. Poonam Advani, Associate Professor; Dr. Bhagyashri Joshi, Assistant Professor; and Ms. Sunanda Patil, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree), shed light on the growing significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in driving innovation, fostering research, and enhancing global competitiveness.

The program featured a thought-provoking address by the eminent Dr. Umesh V. Banakar, an internationally renowned expert in pharmaceutical technology, intellectual property, and global healthcare. His inspiring session encouraged participants to view IPR as a catalyst for advancing academia, industry collaborations, and entrepreneurship.
