MET IOP Students Excel at Rx Aryavarta

MET IOP students showcased remarkable excellence at Rx Aryavarta, hosted by IPA MSB SF from March 22nd to 24th, 2024. Their participation spanned diverse events, including buzzword, Pharmaquiz, scientific poster presentation, oral paper presentation, into your shoes, convince me, group dance, fashion show and indoor sports.
Ms. Sharvani Pednekar (Final year student) won second prize in ‘Student of the Year Contest\'.
Ms. Priyanka Singh and Ms. Nidhi Mishra (Third year students) secured 1st place in Oral Paper Presentation. Mr. Dharmendra Purohit, Ms. Khatija Khan and Mr. Mahesh Chavan (Third year students) secured 1st place whereas Ms. Kimaya Palav, Ms. Shristi Shetty, Ms. Rishika Potam and Ms. Jinali Faria (Third year students) secured 3rd place in Scientific Poster Presentation. Mr. Aniket Khamkar ( Third year student) secured 3rd prize in carrom (singles) competition.
Additionally, the students of MET IOP performed a dance themed ‘Shri Ram’ and participated in a fashion show themed ‘Angels v/s Devils’, earning 3rd prize in both events. MET IOP also achieved the 2nd runner-up position in the ‘Best Technical’ category.
Faculty members, Dr. Sunanda Patil provided her expertise as a judge for the oral paper presentation segment, while Dr. Bhagyashri Joshi presided over the evaluation of scientific poster presentations.

MET Hydrogreen, The Green Club of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma), organized a Nirmalya Collection & Composting Drive during Ganesh Chaturthi, ensuring eco-friendly disposal of offerings.
With the guidance of Dr. Suryakant Bhosale, Principal, MET Institute of Pharmacy (Diploma), Mrs. Dipali Khabale, Faculty Coordinator, and the enthusiastic participation of 47 students, the collected Nirmalya was processed through aerobic composting using the rotary drum method, transforming it into organic fertilizer.
This initiative not only reduced organic waste but also promoted sustainable waste management practices, inspiring the community to embrace eco-friendly traditions.

Green Initiative by MET IOP (Degree)

Students of MET Institute of Pharmacy (Degree) from the third and fourth year enthusiastically participated in a Tree Plantation Drive at Mulund, organized by My Micro Forecast. This initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability through the plantation of native tree species.
The activity not only helped restore biodiversity and improve green cover but also instilled a deeper sense of social responsibility and commitment to sustainable living among our students.
