As part of its ongoing Global and Cultural Immersion Program, MET Institute of Management, Mumbai, signed a landmark internship agreement with Unzen Tourism Hotel, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, on June 28, 2025.

The partnership, commemorating the hotel’s 90th anniversary, enables students of MET Institute of Management to undertake a 25-day experiential learning program in Japanese hospitality. Students will receive hands-on training for four hours daily while immersing themselves in the country’s cultural and professional environment.

The virtual signing ceremony was attended by Hotel President Keiko Hashimoto, who expressed her hopes for the students to experience the spirit of Japanese hospitality and become bridges between India and Japan. In the presence of Keisuke Yamamoto, MP of Nagasaki; Hidesaburo Kanazawa, Mayor of Unzen City; and Consul General Ramkumar from the Consulate General of India in Fukuoka.

From MET Institute of Management, Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, and Dr. Nirmala Joshi, Associate Professor, joined the ceremony online, reaffirming MET’s commitment to fostering global academic collaborations and experiential learning opportunities.

This collaboration marks a significant step in MET’s commitment to global learning and cross-cultural exchange, offering students an international platform to grow as industry-ready professionals and cultural ambassadors.
