FDP on Data Analysis

On October 7, 2024, Dr. Nirmala Joshi, Associate Professor, MET Institute of Management, along with Dr. Rashmi Bhadani, Assistant Professor, MET Institute of Management conducted a Faculty Development Program on \"Data Analysis using JASP (Jeffrey\'s Amazing Statistics Program) and Jamovi\" at Anjuman-I-Islam’s Allana Institute of Management Studies for thier faculty members. JASP & jamovi are statistical software for data analysis and statistical tests. Dr. Nirmala Joshi led a detailed session on data analysis using JASP, while Dr. Rashmi Bhadani conducted an in-depth session on Jamovi. The participants acquired a comprehensive understanding of applying both software tools for descriptive and inferential statistics, enhancing their ability to produce high-quality research papers for publication.

MET IOM signs LoU with NISM

MET Institute of Management (MET IOM) has signed a Letter of Understanding (LoU) with the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), an institute established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), to promote financial education and skill development.
This strategic collaboration aims to provide students with access to NISM-certified courses, expert-led lectures, specialized workshops, valuable internship opportunities and online student development programs. It will also support faculty development through Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) focused on financial markets, thereby enhancing academic expertise in the field.
The LoU reflects MET Institute of Management’s commitment to strengthening industry-academia partnerships and preparing students for successful careers in finance and investment.
FDP on \'Exploring Different Facets of Research Methodology\'

Dr. Justin Paul, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Consumer Studies and an Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Research, the European Management Journal, and the Journal of Strategic Marketing, inaugurated the One-Week FDP on \'Exploring Different Facets of Research Methodology,\' organised by MET Institute of Management on 3rd January 2023.
Dr. Paul, who is ranked among the world\'s top 1% of highly cited researchers and an author of over 150 research papers, conducted a session on ‘Writing Various Systematic Literature Reviews and Building Impactful SLR Frameworks (Systematic Literature Review)’ for the faculty members and external participants present at the FDP.
The one-week FDP is organised to equip participants with the knowledge and insights necessary to critically evaluate and select appropriate research methodologies, along with practical skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of study.

Dr. Farida Virani, Professor, MET Institute of Management was invited as a resource person to address the faculty fraternity on ‘Leadership & People Management’ in the 5 days Faculty Development Program on Capacity Building in Academia 2.0 organised by Amity University, Mumbai.
Dr. Virani shared domain insights as well as relevant industry examples to assist in shaping a more competent academic ecosystem.
Nuances of Consultancy

MET Institute of Management conducted a 5 Days Faculty Development Programme (FDP) ‘Nuances of Consultancy’ in hybrid mode from 29th June to 4th July 2022. The FDP concentrated on a wide range of consulting related topics such as the fundamentals, procedures, and challenges encountered in the interaction between academia and industry.
The FDP was graced by 10 guest lecturers from diverse industry backgrounds who shared their knowledge in the Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility domains. This gave academicians the opportunity to enrich the consulting with well-defined objectives and knowledge for advancement.
