MET Institute of Management hosted the Annual Alumni Meet on 19th October 2024, honoring the accomplishments of its distinguished alumni. The event was attended by Dr. Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM; Dr. Manmeet Barve, Dean of Academics, MET IOM; faculty members, students, and esteemed guests.
Dr. Lodha emphasized the invaluable contributions of alumni to the institute\'s growth and success, highlighting their role in enriching the community and inspiring current students to pursue their aspirations. A keynote address by Ms. Anamika Chakravarty focused on strategies to prevent burnout, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing mental health and creating conducive work environments.
The evening was a testament to the enduring bond between the MET Institute of Management and its alumni.

The prestigious Alma Mater Contributor Award 2024 was awarded to Ms. Sheetal Sapale, VP - Commercial, Pharmrack.
Mr. Nimit Gala, General Manager, Oberoi Realty Ltd., and Mr. Ashrin Singh Anand, Director, Program Lead - Corporate Strategy, M&A & Partnerships, S&P Global, were honoured with the Excellence in Finance & Economics 2024 Award for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
The Emerging Leader 2024 Award was presented to Mrs. Rupali Kale, Head - GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance), Yotta Data Services Pvt. Ltd., for her remarkable leadership.
Dr. Charu Bhurat, Assistant Professor, NMIMS, was recognized with the Academic Achiever Award 2024 for her significant contributions to academia.
Mr. Kunal Thacker, Co-Founder, Katha Joint, and Mr. Karan Shah, Director, Urban Space Realty, were honoured with the prestigious Change Maker Award 2024 for their transformative contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Excellence in Information Technology 2024 award were given to Mr. Shailesh Rathod, Deputy National Manager - PMO Platform, IT, at Bajaj Finserv, and Mr. Pankaj Shegokar, Sr. Consultant at E&Y GDS, for their outstanding achievements in the field of technology.
Ms. Ketki Hoskar, Senior Manager- Talent Staffing & Management, Learning, at Aditya Birla New Age Hospitality, was recognized with the Excellence in Human Resource 2024 Award for her significant contributions to human resource management.
Mr. Feroz Shaikh, Associate Director at Crisil Limited, was honored with the Excellence in Marketing 2024 award for his exceptional contributions to the field of marketing.
Mr. Atul Ramteke, Consulting Practice Head- Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals, at Argus Media Price Reporting, and Mr. Jaideep Pawar, Chief Communication Engineer at Indian Railways, were recognized with the Excellence in Operations 2024 award for their outstanding operational expertise.
Mr. Chinmay Damle, Principal Solution Consultant at Oracle, was bestowed with the prestigious Global Leader Award 2024 for his significant contributions on a global level.
MET IOM extended heartfelt congratulations to all award winners. Their dedication and achievements serve as a testament to the quality education and mentorship provided by the MET Institute of Management.

Paper Presentation at IIM Bodh Gaya

Dr. Nitin S. Kulkarni, Associate Professor, MET IOM at the Bodhgaya Dialogue on Leveraging India’s Buddhist Heritage for Soft Power, Cultural, Economic, and Security Integration, held at IIM Bodh Gaya on 19th September 2025, presented a paper on Unlocking the Economic Potential of Buddhist Tourism: Regional Partnerships, Cultural Circuits, and Sustainable Growth.
In his paper, Dr. Kulkarni examined India’s position in the global tourism landscape, with particular emphasis on the potential of Buddhist heritage as a driver of sustainable development. He identified key challenges that constrain India’s growth in this sector and proposed the 5-T Model - Tourism, Trade, Technology, Transparency, and Trust - as a holistic framework to address them.
He emphasized that this model can enable stronger regional partnerships, facilitate the creation of vibrant cultural circuits, and promote sustainable growth in the Buddhist neighbourhood with India as the central hub. His presentation underscored how Buddhist tourism, if strategically nurtured, can serve as both an economic catalyst and a vital component of India’s cultural diplomacy.
MET IOM Students Qualify for National Finals of NFLQ 2025

On 14th September 2025, at the Western Zone Regional Round of the National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2025, organized by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) in collaboration with SEBI, MET Institute of Management earned a proud achievement with its team securing a place among the top 10 institutions out of 50 participants.
With this success, students Ritika Shinde and Arin Patil from the MMS 2024–26 have advanced to the National Finals, scheduled to be held at the NISM Campus in Patalganga, Navi Mumbai, in November 2025.
This accomplishment stands as a testament to the consistent mentorship of Prof.(Dr.) Swati Lodha, Director, MET IOM, Dr. Manmeet S Barve, Dean – Academics, MET IOM, and Dr. Rohini Andhare Assistant Professor, MET IOM.
