Under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Calendar Activity, MET Institute of Management successfully hosted the IIC Demo Day Presentation of Ideas / Experts for Mentorship Support. This event served as a platform for student entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative revenue models and pivoted business ideas to receive expert mentorship from angel investors.

Over the past six months, MET IOM’s IIC Faculty Innovation Ambassadors actively mentored start-ups, guided students to transform their business models into viable revenue-generating ventures to progress through various stages of the Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), moving from TRL 1 to TRL 4 and beyond.

As a testament to this initiative of creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem five student teams from MMS 2024-26 and MMS 2023-25 presented their start-up ventures and revenue earned details and demonstration of their final products. These projects have not only generated revenue but are also commercially ready for market launch. This milestone marks a significant advancement in MET IOM’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, reinforcing our commitment to cultivating a robust entrepreneurial mindset among students.

The following students exhibited exceptional zeal and dedication, demonstrating their commitment to entrepreneurship as a lifelong skill:

  1. Prasanna Adnure – Cluttch
  2. Saurabh Bhoite – Physio Point
  3. Manas Jadhav – MindMeld
  4. Abhishek Yadav – Trivasta
  5. Hardik Boricha - Mast Mumbaiyaa

Their journey from idea conceptualization to a startup-ready venture highlights the practical application of their learning, emphasizing continuous growth and innovation.

A distinguished panel of angel investors and industry experts were present to evaluate the pitches and provide critical mentorship support, including Mr. Anish Maheshwari – Founder, Vsure Investment Affairs; Mr. Manav Sarin – Founder & CEO, MD Consulting; Ms. Shagufta Merchant – Head SME Strategy, ClearClick Digital.

Their keen interest in taking some of these start-ups to the next cycle underscores the potential of our student-led ventures.

The IIC Demo Day Presentation of Ideas was a resounding success, reinforcing MET IOM’s mission to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship. Through structured mentorship, industry collaboration, and real-world application, we continue to empower our students to build sustainable and scalable businesses.
