A session on Coastal Ecosystems was conducted for MCA students at MET Institute of Computer Science on 3rd February 2026 by Ms. Saloni Kumawat, Coordinator - Climate Action at United Way Mumbai.
The session highlighted the importance of coastal biodiversity, mangroves, and marine habitats in maintaining ecological balance and protecting shorelines. Students learned about threats such as pollution, climate change, and habitat destruction, along with conservation initiatives and community participation.
The speaker connected environmental sustainability with responsible technology use and citizen awareness. The interactive discussion encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards conservation efforts.
