Safety First!

At MET, we believe in readiness and prioritizing the well-being of our METizens. On 30th April 2024, we conducted a comprehensive Fire Drill Training session to equip our employees with the knowledge and skills needed to react swiftly and safely in the event of a fire emergency. MET Fest 2024 kicked off with grandeur and excitement as Mr. Pankaj Bhujbal, Hon. Trustee of Mumbai Educational Trust, and Mrs. Vishakha Bhujbal, Senior Management Representative, inaugurated the event amidst MET students, faculty, and staff. Over the course of three days, the festival showcased a diverse range of activities, including Creative Exhibitions, engaging Workshops, thrilling Competitions, a spectacular Talent Show, and an action-packed Sports Day.

The festival commenced with a Creative Exhibition displaying exceptional artworks by MET students, faculty, and staff. Workshops such as fashion photography, salad-making, and urban gardening provided hands-on learning experiences, promoting creativity, healthy living, and sustainability.

Day two witnessed innovative endeavors such as the Best out of Waste competition, where METizens showcased their creativity by transforming discarded materials into stunning creations. Additionally, participants challenged themselves at the Escape Room, testing their problem-solving skills and teamwork.

The highlight of MET Fest 2024 was the Talent Show, featuring mesmerizing performances ranging from classical dance invocations to sensational singing, showcasing the immense talent within the MET community.

The festival concluded on a high note with the inauguration of the Annual Sports Day, symbolizing unity, sportsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence. As the torch was lit and flags unfurled, students and staff embraced the spirit of competition and camaraderie, making MET Fest 2024 a memorable celebration of creativity, talent, and athleticism.

Mumbai Educational Trust, in collaboration with Eclerx, organised the \'CISI Training Program,\' a significant benefit for students pursuing Finance specialization at MET IOM, MET AMDC, and MET PGDM.

MET expresses deep gratitude to the program\'s instructors, Mr. Ashok Kumar Kasi and his team, Mr. Yash Geddam and Ms. Nicola Fernandes, for their unwavering support and seamless coordination throughout the program.

MET extends heartfelt appreciation to all the participants whose dedication and contributions were instrumental in achieving remarkable success.

The Outbound Management Training Program on September 8th and 9th, 2023, at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini in Uttan exceeded all expectations! Through thrilling management games and activities, participants not only had a blast but also learnt invaluable lessons about teamwork, active listening and leveraging each team member\'s unique strengths to reach a common goal.

As METizens reflect on the bonds forged and the knowledge acquired during this program, they also look forward with enthusiasm to the exciting journey ahead at MET Asian Management Development Centre.

On Saturday 15th October 2022, MET AMDC alumni (Batch 1996-98) - Mr. Rishi Agrawal, SVP & Global Delivery Head - 3i Infotech and Ms. Vriti Raja conducted a workshop on Business Analytics in action within organisations and varied functional areas, exhibiting Power BI - a business intelligence tool that provides faster data processing, through the use of Dashboards.
This hands-on session enabled the students to comprehend the application of the principles of Strategic Business Analytics to domain-specific issues in the corporate sector.

MET Asian Management Development Centre conducted HR Review Workshop for eMBA and PGP SBA students on 5th April 2022. The Workshop was conducted by Dr. Farida Virani. It was a session marked with great learning for MET AMDC students that enabled them to glean from the real world of human resources.

On 4th April, MET eMBA & PGP SBA students had the privilege of attending Workshop on Big Data Analytics, which was conducted by Prof. Omprakash Mandge, MET ICS.

The students were given practical insights with the help of story-telling regarding the importance and relevance of Big Data Analytics particularly in-depth basic understanding of Hadoop. The session comprised of concepts like Pipeline and Characteristics of Big Data which gives clear understanding of concepts related to the subject.

Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) conducted a workshop on ‘Creative Thinking’ for its Institute staff. The MET Centre of Educational Technology (MET CET) department planned the same.
The workshop provided participants an opportunity to showcase their creativity and ideation which resulted in awesome artifacts. The activity was filled with enthusiasm and gave a boost to all the participants.

MET Asian management Development Centre organised a Life Skills Training Program on 21st to 23rd March 2022.

The program was delivered by Barclays through their partner Rubicon Foundation for the MET eMBA and PGP SBA students. It covered the Interview Preparation Techniques, GD, PI, Telephone and Email Etiquettes, SWOT Analysis, Grooming, Body Language, Presentation Skills, Corporate Jargons, Real Life Case Studies and many such vital topics which will help students in the long run.

MET Asian Management Development Centre, Mumbai had a hands-on session on the topic \'Let\'s Get Practical with Sales\'. This session was conducted by Mr. Ujjwal Thube, National Sales Manager at Arvind Fashions Ltd. Mr. Thube holds more than 15 yrs of experience in Corporate Sales.

During the session, Mr. Thube shared his views and also discussed Corporate Sales and various aspects related to it - the basics, the competition, the costs, the benefits etc. He also elaborated on the conceptual difference between sales and corporate sales.

MET eMBA students were thankful to have such an informative and valuable guest lecture.

MET Institute of Management celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21^st June 2019. Acharya Sharda Bubna along with yoga trainers Ms. Trupti Vaidya and Ms. Sangeeta Khana conducted the yoga workshop at MET Convention Centre. The program was well attended by directors, faculty, staff and students of MET. Young students of MET Rishikul Vidyalaya, the Cambridge School, also attended the program.

MET Institute of Management faculty Dr. Preeti Shirodkar trained the staff of White Rivers Media at their office. Literature Expert and an Author, Dr. Preeti Shirodkar delivered the power-packed session highlighting the importance of developing soft skills! Drawing upon close to 25 years of teaching and training MBAs and Mass Media students, Dr. Shirodkar’s mentoring sure enriched these corporate India members. B-School faculty indeed makes a difference, weather on-campus or off-campus!
