The Grand Annual Cultural Fest of the MET League of Colleges – MET Utsav was held between 24 – 31 January at Bhujbal Knowledge City, Mumbai. Though it might look like a week-long fest but the enthusiastic METizens had started the preparations as early as December ‘14 when the auditions began.
On the Inauguration Day young students from MET Rishikul Vidyalaya stole the show with their performance of invocation dance. It was an eventful day, with Inaugural Parade, Scientific Corner, One Minute Games and the first time ever the Alumni Hub - that allowed the entrepreneur MET alumni to showcase their business ideas that also served as an inspiration to budding professionals. The entire day, MET students, staff and faculty participated in over 10 innovative workshops like Fingerprint Analysis, Image Makeover, Handwriting Analysis, just to name a few, that exposed them to a variety of areas ranging from hobbies to self-management. The dignitaries also visited the Creativity Exhibition at the main Atrium. This exhibition showcased original creations – paintings, sculptures, artworks, origami etc by the MET students, staff and faculty. It was a marvelous display of creative talents at this exhibition from METizens.
The MET Annual Sports Meet on the second day brought with it new challenges, new winners and loads of fun and frolic. METizens truly set the ball rolling, they were in action, sweating it out on the field, vying for victory in cricket, football, table tennis etc. The end of the day, individual champions and winning teams were rewarded with certificates and trophies.
MET Utsav 2015 celebrations concluded with the grand finale – Cultural Nite on 31st January. A Talent Hunt competition in music, singing, mimicry was held on 24th January from where the winners were selected, they then rigorously trained to put up the scintillating performances on the Cultural Nite which was highly appreciated by the audience. The stage showcased power-packed performances in dance, music, drama, laser shows and more. Sixty four arts were weaved into the innovative fashion show. The eye-catching aerial acts by MET students also left the audience spell-bound. During this week long celebrations, MET Gaurav awards were bestowed upon METizens for their excellence in the academic, curricular and sports at the state/national level, whereas MET Bhushan were conferred on MET staff for rendering over 15 years of services.
Shri. Chhagan Bhujbal, Chairman, MET conferred the MET Ratna awards on distinguished METizens during the Cultural Nite. Music icon Sudesh Bhosale enthralled the audience with his style and singing, which left the audience cheering and wanting more. Bollywood actor Zayed Khan also encouraged the students to do well in their career. Upcoming singer Shadab Afridi gave a heart throbbing performance.
This is one time of the year when the staff, students, faculty, admin, technical and non-academic staff rejoice together on a single platform devoid of all hierarchies. MET Utsav 2015 was indeed a multi-dimensional event, which kept the spirits of the audience alive and left everyone with wonderful memories to cherish for lifetime.

Navratri and Fresher’s Party at MET AMDC

MET Asian Management Development Centre celebrated the auspicious occasion of Navratri along with a formal Fresher’s Welcome on 27th September 2025. This integrated event provided a platform for cultural expression and community building, as students across programmes came together to engage in traditional Garba performances and festive activities.
The evening was marked by vibrant attire, rhythmic dance, and a shared spirit of enthusiasm, particularly among the newly admitted students who were formally welcomed into the MET community.
Through such initiatives, MET AMDC reinforces its commitment to holistic student development by combining cultural heritage with the values of academic and social integration.
Session on Innovative Assessment at 5-Day FDP

On the 5th and final day of the 5-day Faculty Development Programme conducted by MET CET, Dr. Chitra Wadke, Head, MET CET, led a session on Innovative Assessment.
The session highlighted how assessments can go beyond measuring knowledge to nurturing creativity, deeper learning, and holistic student growth—reflecting MET’s commitment to progressive teaching practices and academic excellence.
Educational Visit to HDFC Bank – Fort Branch

As part of the Basics of Banking lecture, PGP EMBA students from the MET Asian Management Development Centre (MET AMDC) visited HDFC Bank, Fort Branch. The event was organized by Prof. Nisha Chhabria, former Vice President of HDFC Bank, with the aim of complementing classroom learning through practical exposure to the operations of a leading financial institution.
Students gained valuable insights into customer services, digital banking systems, and financial product offerings. The session also helped them understand various banking departments, aligning with their syllabus and providing a comprehensive overview of Banking as a Service. This first-hand experience bridged the gap between theory and practice while supporting informed career decisions.
MET AMDC Students at Tamasha Factory’s Mic Drop Event

On 24th August 2025, MET AMDC EMBA students gained valuable real-world exposure by volunteering at Tamasha Factory’s Mic Drop event, hosted at Lord of the Drinks, Worli. The platform offered them first-hand experience of the dynamic pace and challenges of a live entertainment show while contributing to its seamless execution.
Their roles spanned artist coordination, backstage facilitation, audience interaction, and operational support, giving them a holistic view of event and celebrity management. This immersive engagement not only enhanced their practical understanding of event logistics but also reinforced essential managerial skills such as teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism—vital for future leaders in the field.
