On the occasion of ‘National Science Day’ on 28th February 2023, MET PGDM conducted an interactive session with Dr. Girish Jathar, Deputy Director, Srushti Conservation Foundation and Climate Change Scientist, on the topic of ‘Climate Change, Impact, Adaptation and Innovation’.

Dr. Jathar explained the concepts of weather and climate, human evolution and the impact of fire invention on humans. He discussed the effects of climate change on human genes, animals and the economy of the country. The session also covered the significance of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Oxygen (O2) in the environment and the effects of industrialisation on CO2 emissions.

During the session, he enlightened students on the impacts of climate change on health, agriculture, forest, industry and geopolitics. The session included a case study of \"Haiti vs Dominican Republic\" and the adaptation of sustainable business practices to reduce the risk of climate change.

The session provided budding MBAs with valuable insights on climate, natural resources, their impact on the economy and the innovations that can be adapted to address climate change.
