IQAC and Alumni cell as part of a webinar series of the alumni organized a talk by Ms. Mamta Parekh on 21^st June 2020 on the topic, ‘Career opportunities for chemistry postgraduates’. She has work experience over 03years and is currently working as a Research Associate in Analytical, Innovation & Development dept., Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Ms. Mamta focused on higher studies in the field of Pharmaceutical chemistry and highlighted the importance of this subject in different industries like excipients, polymer, and many more. She gave the current students an overview of various functions of the pharma industry and the role of chemistry in various fields. She gave a lucid presentation and tried to summarize her talk beautifully by giving a correlation of the process of making tea and Pharmaceutical chemistry which was appreciated by the audience.

IQAC and Alumni cell organized a webinar of our alumnus Mr. Nikhil Chavan, Senior officer in Regulatory Department, Lupin on 21^st June 2020 on the topic, ‘Career prospects in DRA - Indian Scenario’. He is involved in all aspects of the drug development process. Mr. Nikhil gave students an insight on the various roles and responsibilities of a regulatory affair professional. He addressed the various issues raised in the regulatory review process, discussing the basics of dossier, various drug master files, submission types, various modules of CTD pyramid. He also explained in detail how to refer to the orange book, patent exclusivity, use of generic drugs and various references for information on regulatory affair work. The students got a full overview of the Regulatory Department.

MET Institute of Pharmacy organized a webinar of alumna, Ms. Munira Loliwala, a scent design trainee in International flavors and fragrances, in Singapore, on 14^th June 2020. Ms Munira gave us an indepth insight of Perfumery industry. She discussed market trend in perfumery industry. She started her lecture right from a definition of perfume to composition, what makes a fragrance different from a flavor up to its impact on consumer behavior. She also explained fragrance perception, consumer sensory testing methods and market research. The students were also advised on how to pursue a career in India and abroad
